The FIT team photographer here was spotted at yesterday’s Latin music festival, Carnival del Pueblo, with assorted FIT team coppers and TSG (riot cops, but not dressed up) also in attendance. Young, black men were being routinely stopped and searched after a Section 60 order had been placed over the whole of the Borough of Southwark allowing stop and searches for no reason whatsoever.
We didn’t manage to get his pic, but it seems the FIT team’s remit has been extended to photographing folk at community events.
