Over 200 Charities Reject Workfare and Sign Statement Saying Keep Volunteering Voluntary

Over 200 charities and voluntary organisations have now signed the Keep Volunteering Voluntary agreement in response to the Government’s launch of mass workfare.

As pointed out by Boycott Workfare, this vastly outnumbers the 70 organisations that the DWP claim have backed the new Community Work Placements, which involve 780 hours forced work under the threat of meagre benefits being stopped.

Many more charities have confirmed they will not be involved in the scheme on twitter, including household names such as British Red Cross, Scope and Friends of the Earth.  This is a disaster for the DWP as they attempt to find tens of thousands of workfare placements in the voluntary sector.

It could also spell trouble for Mandatory Work Activity (MWA), the shorter workfare scheme which used to punish claimants when Jobcentre busy-bodies decide they aren’t trying hard enough to find work.  The Keep Volunteering Voluntary agreement does not just apply to the new six month workfare scheme, but all mandatory unpaid work for benefits.  Visit the Keep Volunteering Voluntary website for a handy guide to current workfare schemes.

Mandatory Work Activity suffered another blow this week after St Werburgh’s City Farm in Bristol suspended their involvement with workfare following a protest by Bristol Anarchist Federation.  With many of the larger charities now publicly distancing themselves from forced work, actions like these, to pick off the smaller users of workfare, will be vital.  If you know of an organisation near you who uses forced unpaid work then contact Boycott Workfare to have them named and shamed.

Boycott Workfare are also calling for everyone opposed to workfare to contact local voluntary groups and charities and ask them to sign up to Keep Volunteering Voluntary: “If you’re part of a voluntary organisation, or you know one that hasn’t signed the agreement yet, then please ask them to sign the pledge.  Any kind of voluntary group can sign up: from a union branch to a major charity to a local housing action group.”

Organisations can sign up at: http://www.keepvolunteeringvoluntary.net/signup

Please help spread the word, follow @keepvolvol on twitter and let’s make workfare unworkable.

I see that The Salvation Army is missing from the list. Does anyone know if they’re still using workfare slave labour to exploit unemployed citizens in their ‘charity’ shops?

    • yes, they’ve said they won’t use Community Work Placements but are still involved in other workfare schemes.

      • Stuart Sorensen

Ah. So it’s a cosmetic change to attempt to hide their hypocrisy whilst really they continue to support the exploitation of those unable to defend themselves. Is that right or have I misunderstood?

        • I think the Army thinks that up to one month is OK but six months of workfare is five months too long.

          • Stuart Sorensen

If it’s forced labour under threat of sanction (oops, I mean destitution) then I’d have thought that one day would seem too long for an organisation that prides itself on compassion. But perhaps not.

        • Well they are Christians of course they’re hypocrits. They’re all about the evils of drink then they used to come into pubs when people were half pissed and try to sell them War Cry.

        • No you’ve got it right. They are not a charity they are a disgrace. Don’t donate to them through leaflets through the door or any other way. Talk to relatives and friends and tell them the same. Starve them of funds. They are directly responsible for people losing their benefits and their homes and they don’t give a s–t! Some of the most deviant humans claim to be religious and christians. Christians my backside!

          • Stuart Sorensen

            That’s what I thought.

          • Just got to say not All salvation army as a whole are hypocrites, my friend and his parents are salvation army, they follow everything they preach (don’t drink, don’t smoke etc.)

            • All SA are hypocrites if they’re involved with the organisation when they know they’re exploiting people on workfare. They know they’re exploiting the poorest most disadvantaged members of society through their involvement in workfare, no exceptions.

If your friend and his parents truly are people of faith they would resign from SA and let them know in no uncertain terms why they were resigning ie. exploiting the poor in society doesn’t hold with proper christian values.

Also having a drink or a smoke does not bar you from being a religious person. Your friend and his family don’t drink or don’t smoke however they are quite ok it seems with being a member of a group that exploits people into penury.

              • If you feel that strongly that very “logic” would dictate you’d opt out of society/leave the UK as our current (and previous) government have exploited you. Therefore the DWP are also part of this so your convictions would require you not to sign on or claim any benefit help whatsoever. Hmmm, the arguments not working so well now eh? Smirk.

  3. a big step in the right direction for a change, but when will these steps be enough to make the DWP devils change their mind and realise they are doing more harm than good? there are so many ways they could recoup some of the costs of running the country, so why go after the least efficient and weakest group, the unemployed? whose monetary “waste” is but a fraction of how much tax avoidance goes on.. our living cost goes up, their wages and bonuses do too, still baffles me how it’s allowed to happen in the first place

though what’s stopping them from dragging us all into a room again for 7 hours a day 5 days a week jobsearch like they did at sencia? does anyone remember that? it was hell, cooked up with all kinds of people while the self-proclaimed “advisors” spat vitriol at anyone that questioned why they weren’t doing a damn thing to help

  6. Organisations across the voluntary sector rising up to oppose the mass exploitation and criminalisation of the unemployed by the government – now that’s the “Big Society” in action!

  7. I was on the New Deal back in 2008 and that was exactly all that was involved – sat in the same room with a few old newspapers for 30 hours per week, with the monotony broken by the occasional quiz or pointless “group activity”.

That type of provision failed first time around, and will do so again if reintroduced. But will that fact stop the government? Don’t count on it.

    • The above is meant as a reply to K.S above…

      Damn internet explorer!

      • I left school in 1974.. I walked around and found a job within weeks. Over the next 5 years I had 13 jobs, through choice not because of short term contracts or anything but purely looking for right job. When the Tories got into power in 79 all that stopped, mass unemployment began and huge redundancies followed.
It has never been possible since then to have a job guaranteed for life. I was unemployed during the Tory 90’s worked from 96 on and am now unemployed again under the Tories since 2011.
Making work pay ? Only if you are a banker or Tory donor. !!!!

    • Have you never worked then?

      • Of course, but this is my second spell out of work for three years or more.

My last job was on a twelve month contract. Since then, nothing.

        • sg – my last two jobs were a 9 month contract (extended for a further three) followed by an 11 month contract (& then a round of cuts with those on 11 month contracts not being kept on as others on longer contracts were deemed to be ‘at risk’ and had priority when the jobs were being halved/lost). Similar jobs I’ve had in the past were not fixed contracts – or not usually – now this is something to aim for.

          • @Shirleynott – Isn’t that the way of the world now? It’s sad but true to say most of us will never experience real job security ever again. Contrast this with my Dad and others of his generation. He left school at 15, got a job and kept that same job for 40 years until he was made redundant. He was unable to get a job while signing on JSA, but has happily escaped the clutches of the jobcentre and now claims Pension Credit.

            Lucky him!

            • It’s happened relatively fast though? Or maybe just whiIe i wasn’t paying attention/was preoccupied with other things. My mum left school at 15 too & went round to a number of shops (she wanted to work in a shop then), chose the one she liked the look of most & went in, asked about and got her first job. There was mostly always work (except when there wasn’t always, during the Thatcher years) – even if it was mundane/not very life-affirming – it paid enough to have heating and food (!), pay the bills & have a life/a holiday/run a car etc.

I’ve taken up short-term work before, but it was through choice rather than it because there was no alternative – & even that is now more and more difficult – naer to impossible even – to get & much less of a foregone conclusion than in my life up to now … oy vey.

            • Our rulers have so tilted the balance of power in the bosses favour by engineering such job scarcity and insecurity, they’ve now got us to the point where we longingly fantasise about having a full-time job for life – grafting our lives away to make the idle rich richer by being paid less than the true value of our labour and would be grateful if we could ever get one. Imagine that.

              • Still very clear that a 4-day-week/3-day-weekend with enough money to enjoy life (at least sometimes) should be – don’t worry – they can take away our living wages but they can’t take away our imagination.

                • William Wallace

They may take our lives but they will never take you IMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGINAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATION!!

                • William Wallace

They may take our Giros but they will never take our IMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGINAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATION!!

                • That should be 3 day week and 4 day weekend though. 🙂 Even better would be a worker owned cooperative so that the people that actually do the work make the decisions and profit from it, instead of the selfish, arrogant, greedy, heartless, idle, decadent, parasitical owning class.

                • & they will never take away Maggie’s divided nation.

  8. If Help-to-Work fails in the voluntary sector my bet would be that the Coalition will try to involve the public and private sectors, e.g., councils, lying all the time about “helping people into work” by “giving them some current up-to-date work experience and reference”. They can’t afford to be seen to fail again where “welfare reform” is concerned. Plus, let’s face it, Osborne and Cameron and the rest of them viscerally hate unemployed people even though they are not to blame for their situation.

  9. whenever we say something that disagrees with (the middle class views), up pops another post for us to reply to, putting distance between things that have been posted that shows them in a bad light, or to be gracious a bias light.

  10. CWP Must DIE!!

Whoever/whatever is providing/organising these fucking slave/forced labour CWP ‘placements’ are fucking CUNTS!! Burn in Hell!!

    • One of the worst are ‘Working Links’ a truly vicious appalling bunch of rats who love to report people to the DWP and get all their benefits stopped while they rake in the cash from the taxpayer.

In a civilized society these low life gutter rats would be chased for their life.

I know G4S and A4E get a bad rap and rightly so but i don’t hear enough voices denouncing this bunch of wasters! They are the absolute worst examples of humanity anywhere.

I told them that i was surprised they could get anyone to work for them even for a wage. The emotional baggage and self loathing it would cause would be horrible.

      • Raining, I have to say that I’d never heard of that bunch (perhaps I’ve been lucky?), you must tell us more. But I’ve just clocked their website and yes, as soon as you see a tab with ‘Your Journey’ on it, you just know it’s total and utter bollocks!

        • Maybe just where you live Max. Someone else has probably got the Nazi admin contract for your area. Where i am it’s the scum ‘Working Links’.

In life there’s the sewers and the sewer rats. That’s as low as you get down there. But there’s one group even lower than that and it’s ‘Working Links’ and their ilk. It takes a special breed of rat to work for them with an inbuilt streak of callousness and viciousness.

          • I guess you are right Raining. I think around here (Worcs.) it’s ‘Serco’, or some other bunch of scum sucking fuckers!

      • Working Links was my provider. A total bunch of bastards and I had the misfortune to have two advisers over my two years. The first was a fat lassie with a moustache and the other a fat guy without a moustache.

They had posters all around from supposed people who got jobs and they say things like “My time at Working Links was super” Bla blah blah. On induction I was the only one who said nope I’m not signing this shit whilst those around me bent over and took it up the ass. I said loud enough for everyone to hear that you never had to sign the forms.

People are terrified in these positions though and will do anything to stop a loss of benefit.

I got zero interviews in all my time there. They said we will get you a job no bother.. Aye right ye are pal. The last day when I walked out the place I felt like Richard Gere at the end of An Officer and a Gentleman only I wasn’t carrying Debra Winger, instead I was letting a huge weight of my shoulders but hey it never lasted long that feeling as the job Centre is just as fucking bad.

        • “The first was a fat lassie with a moustache and the other a fat guy without a moustache.”

Did she twirl it as she threatened you with a sanction?

      • Working Links are Fucking SCUM!!

        BURN IN HELL!!

      • Working Links Are SCUM!!

😯 👿 Working Link’s 👿 website is fucking hilarious 😀 – “Your Journey” 😀 Anyone unfortunate enough to have ever had any dealing with these pure and utter 😈 CUNTS!! 😈 will know only too well that this is as far from reality as it goes! 😈

For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.

        • JC/DWP employees and their collaborators should realise that all our actions have consequences 🙂 If you can’t deal with the consequences don’t to the action 🙂 And life is short… you never know how short… 🙂

          • What you sayhas some truth. We have become an almost unnaturally castrated society made to fear the consequences of stepping out of line. In nature in the raw sense reactions occur in response to actions which is perfectly ‘natural’ although we have it instilled into us that it is bad (we are animals no matter how we kid ourselves we are higher beings, better than animals ha ha – we are lower in many cases from my observations). Whilst we (the people) have something to lose they have that certain control over us but when there is nothing to lose and by that I mean left penniless, destitute and starving then that control is lost and anything could happen. The person who is driven to despair is no more responsible than those who put him/her in that position.

            • JD

The person who is driven to despair is no more responsible than those who put him/her in that position.

Does that make everyone irresponsible then?

              • overburdenddonkey

                g fawkes
no! it means that those who are responsible are irresponsible, that some who are responsible, and who are not irresponsible, to get to the truth to find those who are/is responsible therefore irresponsible, should be trusted to a responsible person not someone who is irresponsible and it is a sacred responsibility to be responsible for finding out who the responsible irresponsible culprit is, this is not an irresponsible act, but a responsible one…then once the root cause is found, the responsible person then gives the victim homework to do and the responsibility is gradually shifted onto the victim to heal themselves responsibly, then the victim finally takes over the responsibility for healing themselves and is responsible for dumping the responsible irresponsible person(s) of the abuse traumas out of head space responsibly, ie without malice or revenge, so that the responsibility for carrying the abuse traumas is/are over, and one’s load is considerably lightened, as one is no longer responsible for the crap of others…then the victim becomes wholly responsible for there own actions, even if they were once responsible for being irresponsible, they now become a responsible human being, and are no longer responsible for being irresponsible…

            • Rover the Dog

True JD, it is the dog that civilised man, not man who civilised the dog as you might expect. Also ever notice how when you put a group of dogs together they will play happily together but when you put a group of kids together they tear strips of each other. Who is more civilised? 🙂

Please do spread the word to make Workfare unworkable. I’m particularly pleased that the City Farm in Bristol has rejected MWA. Bristol’s my home town so it’s great to see it setting an example for smaller organisations who are rejecting Workfare – or whatever the Tories are calling it today.

  14. A few questions looking for an answer.

See if I went on the sick for a few months would i have to sign this new Claimant charter thing (which I know nothing about)on return to jsa?

Also how is some people going on sick for 3 months then jsa one weeks then back to 3 months on the sick continuously? Does avoiding the tribunal thing mean you can keep going on the sick for same reason? I thought you couldn’t go on sick for same reason for 6 months afterwards?

These fuckers are making me sick.

Rickets has come back; TB also returned to London several years ago (not Tony Bliar) & I think it was relatively unseen in recent times til then. It’s a risk in particlar to people living on the streets/admitted to hospital/returning to live on the street/being re-admitted to hospital.

  17. They Want You DEAD!!

The whole point of this slave labour/bullying shite is to drive jobseekers round the bend. It is MASS SUICIDES that these cunts want!

  18. If you have to do this rubbish (MWA) then you are best not fighting it. Switch off and just go through the motions as if you are going to work. You’ll comply with their nonsense and then after it you’ll still be looking for work no better prepared. The taxpayer will have shelled out a fortune for nothing but they wouldn’t listen – they knew better in their own little minds!

I am not saying people shouldn’t be expected to look for work of course not. If they are able they should but what annoys me is their tarring everyone as scroungers and purposeful humiliation and persecution of people who actually want work but cannot get any. We live in a very judgmental country I find and many are not willing to give people a chance unless they are a complete match to their ideal candidate. That’s UK for you I’m afraid!

    • We live in a very judgmental country I find and many are not willing to give people a chance unless they are a complete match to their ideal candidate. That’s UK for you I’m afraid!

No that is the labour/tory/libdem/green/ukip for you i’m afraid, certainly not the independents nor the none voters.

Best not fighting MWA – don’t make me laugh!

which is how they can also stack everything in their favour…they have us running round in circles so that they don’t have to…they are completely insulated from the draconia that they impose on us….plenty of we know it’s tough, at least we can imagine it is….

I am writing to request an internal review of Department for Work and Pensions’s handling of
my FOI request ‘U n u m corporations failure to record a conflict of interest.’.

Its quite obvious that there is a conflict of interest, hence your reluctance to answer.

Please be assured that your request has been given our full consideration and that all aspects of
your review were taken fully into account.

The review was conducted by an independent official of the Department, of the relevant grade
and authority to carry out such requests. The case has been examined afresh, and guidance has
been sought from domain experts to ensure all factors were taken fully into account.

After consideration the internal review has confirmed that DWP does not hold any information on
the Corporation identified above, as they are not connected to the DWP Medical Services
        Contract.

        13. UnumProvident is actively engaged with the Government, policy-makers and large employers to share best practice and to see where our systems and approaches might be applied more widely. We are currently working with the Department of Work and Pensions on this, and have had discussions with officials in HM Treasury and the Prime Minister’s office. We have met with officials to help better understand the nature of the IB casebook, and to discuss how our commercial experience and expertise might be more widely applied. In addition, we will shortly be supporting the National Employment Panel in its work on the New Deal for Disabled People through a secondment of one of our senior managers.

  23. royal scroungers

When they tried to introduce new deal in France, the french who take no crap from the authorities, ripped up all of the seats in the job centre and barricaded the staff in the building – we need that kind of opposition in this country, the nearest we got to mass demonstrators fighting right wing government were the British Miners strikes.

    • The conversations I’ve overhead between unemployed people on various ‘courses’ I’ve been forced on, have generally blamed immigrants flooding into the country taking all the jobs and getting first refusal on all the best housing as the reason why they couldn’t get jobs and housing. They also believed the scrounger propaganda, but thought that they were the exceptions and felt aggrieved that they were being regarded as the same as ‘them’ and being treated like they were one of ‘them’.

When I was was sent to a job interview for door to door selling by the Work Pogrom (£70 a week basic), one guy there said he went on a march against government policies recently, but once he secures himself a job he won’t have to bother with all that anymore and they all had a good chuckle.

One ex-army guy who couldn’t get a council flat after he came home from killing people for the ruling class and was living with his parents was full of praise for Thatcher for being ‘strong unlike the leaders we have now’.

      • R34

Someone as erudite and eloquent as you only paid £70, what a cheek, I am sure you could sell send in the Sahar.
You had better refuse to go on the next work pogrom and go self employed instead.

        • I think I know how to spell Sahara, the disseminators disagree!

        • Thank you, but flogging that rubbish they were expecting me to sell was way beyond my abilities lol.

At the interview the manager told us all we can expect to regularly have people swearing at us, doors slammed in our faces, people throwing things at us out of their windows, people setting their dogs on us and being chased away if we take this job.

So this guy that was also forced to attend the interview by the WP said that he doesn’t think he is suitable for the job because although he is OK generally, he has this condition that makes him turn psychotic and batter people senseless when people are rude to him and that he doesn’t remember doing it after he has stopped beating them. The manager said that would be OK and that he will partner him with someone and tell them to keep an eye on him.

          • Yet another troll R34! not to mention a liar.

            • We have a doctor death lives at the end of our street and he and his neighbour sanctions crap like that said about people.

              • So you’re trying to smear me by saying I’m like this “Dr Death”. I suppose if I was like you I would be rude and nasty and call you a liar and say this “Dr Death” doesn’t exist and you’re making him up.

I knew it was a mistake conversing with you, but I thought you may have changed since the last time I was here and become less belligerent, so I gave you the benefit of the doubt. My mistake, that I won’t ever be making again.

            • Who are you to arbitrarily decide I’m a lying troll? You are well out of order, but whatever, I was there and that’s what happened. Believe what you want.

My WP does force people into unsuitable situations and they couldn’t care less what the outcome is, as long as they get their “successful job outcome” money.

  24. Royal scrounger is the pseudonym that my grandson typed in as a funny reply to Geoff, I hope the bravo was for the text not the moniker.

  25. George Osborne is a CUNT!!

“Help to Work” = PUNISHMENT AND HUMILIATION TO DRIVE JOBSEEKERS OF OFF BENEFITS AND INTO DESTITUTION AND SUICIDE!! Fuck you Osborne you fucking CUNT!!

    • All George’s seem to be the same.

    • What’s even more annoying is that a union, the PCS, are the implementation tool for savage Tory austerity and sanctioning the scope of which this country has never seen.

They make the excuse that “it’s not my fault! i’m just following orders!” as the decision maker, who’s undoubtedly a member of the PCS, follows orders and slashes another persons benefit and pushes them ever further into penury and nearer suicide as the only way out.

This is one slimeball of a union! On their policy pages they moan that they’re not happy implementing this savage set of policies but their leadership do nothing and remain silent, content to coin in their nice salary in the knowledge that they’re not gonna be homeless and without a crumb to eat.

No use PCS moaning! You have colluded and schemed to implement these policies against people that it was your duty to help. People at their lowest ebb who, instead of being helped, get further licked in the teeth as you stand by and enable the Tories scorched earth policy on benefit claimants to continue.

I hope and pray that the PCS union and it’s members who have bent over backwards to deal these vicious blows to vulnerable people get to experience the effects of karma for what they have been instrumental in enabling.

      • PCS Are SCUM!!

The PCS union are fucking SCUM and Mark Serwotka is a CUNT!! Let us never forget the part these traitors played in the destruction of the Welfare State.

        • Fuck the PCS (SCUM)

All the fucking yellow-bellied, treacherous PCS (SCUM) are concerned about is the ‘safety’ of their own fucking sick, twisted and evil members as they go about their daily business of driving claimants into destitution and suicide! The PCS (SCUM) don’t give a flying fuck about claimants! The PCS are SCUM! Fuck the PCS (SCUM)!!

        • Mark Serwotka (SCUM)

          Hello 🙂 *waves*

    3 JULY 2012

Atos Healthcare HCPs are specifically trained to provide decision making authorities with independent, accurate and authoritative advice and reports on the effects of disability.
    DWP

    5 MAY (TODAY)

A total of 41 per cent of them were given C grades, meaning that they failed to give enough detail or explain the reasoning for the decisions. The DWP said it did not mean that the assessments were wrong, but rather the reports were of poor quality.

………Strange how the DWP continue with the crock of shit disability denial benefit stealers, who they have reputedly sacked………

INTERESTINGLY, MY MEDICAL REPORT SAID I DID ALL MANNER OF THINGS AND GOES ON TO STATE,

“WAS OBSERVED TO STAND IN ONE PLACE, HOLDING ONTO HIS WALKING STICK, FOR THE DURATION OF THE EXAMINATION”

“IS THIS MEDICAL REPORT FIT FOR PURPOSE?”

THE DWP THINK SO AND HAVE MADE ME SURVIVE ON £32.32P SINCE LAST JULY…………..

“Jobseekers being forced into zero-hours roles

Letter from Conservative minister reveals plans to sanction unemployed people if they fail to agree to controversial contracts”

    • Surely they won’t do this until Universal Credit has been fully rolled out… which is to say it probably won’t ever happen!

      “More research
ONS said it found evidence of a further 1.3 million contracts where no work was undertaken.” in this bbc link…on top of the recently previously grossly underestimated no’s of 0hr contracts of the now estimated figures of 1.4m…how can anyone have enough accurate info required to estimate the average 25hrs/contract?
      http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-27219654 30/4/14
then the link below…. “The government insisted such contracts offer an average 25 hours work a week.”
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-27289148 6/5/14 in this link a dwp spokes person says….”They would not be required to sign up to “exclusive” contracts, which tie a worker to a single employer with no guarantee of work.” and also…”He said the average zero-hours contract provided workers with 25 hours of work a week and could “lead to long-term opportunities”.” (which is a standard dwp mantra could lead to better things, promised land politics) compare the info contained in the 2 links….wtf are they saying that the non-exclusive 0hr contracts offer 25hr/wk, how can they know this when no one knows how many or what types of 0hr contracts are out there or have been signed up for, as the total figures are unknown….

  29. Sorry if this has already been flagged up but it needs to be read. Esther Mc Vey has now decided that job seekers will be sanctioned if they refuse to take a zero hour contract.

    http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2014/may/05/jobseekers-zero-hours-contracts

    • Thanks billy bob, kind of half caught this in the review of the paper review on BBC News! Didn’t catch the paper it was in – doh!

    • Cheers billy bob, so under UC, JC+ or the WPP will be able to essentially mandate a person to nil income, just as they do with sanctions. They may as well just carry on arbitrarily sanctioning people, as force them to apply to jobs which are generally worse than having no job at all.

Watch them stretch the definition of “exclusive” contracts in the near future. Today’s announcement seems like the start of the end game.

What they are proposing is to tie people to odd, impossible hours of availability that will make it impossible to fit another job around. The eyes of McVey, IDS & co, won’t recognise this as an “exclusive” contract, but to all intensive purposes it will be exclusive.

Today’s announcement seems like the start of the end game to me.

      • 😯 The 👿 WPP 👿 will be £cashing£ in big-time by mandating all their clients to the one ‘zero-hour’ job 😈 You could have a million people on a ‘zero hour’ contract for the one position 😈

        • overburdenddonkey

          end
the sudden economic miracle of 35m people in employment, is eye watering….

        • Jester McVile’s new policy won’t work if UC never comes to pass. The silly bitch needs slapping down and reminded that she is a drone, doing whatever her lord and master IDS says and does to her. And without the lunatic slaphead, she wouldn’t know what to do to in the confides of the lunatic department.

Only fools follow donkeys. IDS is the biggest donkey so far to grace government since Tony Bliar.

  30. GEOFF REYNOLDS

Patton’s public webpage or the Israeli propaganda machine, the BBC are doing a thoroughly good job of serving their masters voice………..
This morning they seek to threaten jobsearchers with mandatory inclusion in the slave trade and herald the outcome of findings from an asthma study unit into fatalities of sufferers……………..

Yet enough people, more than required to fill a football stadium, have died as a result of being found fit for work, and nothing is said……..

Can it be that all our news is being doctored, or are the deaths of forty thousand plus, just a blip on the radar that can easily be concealed?

There is a public outrage when a ferry disaster occurs, taking the lives of hundreds.
We are still looking for a little girl who went missing in portugal…….

But what of the forty thousand who have died at the governments behest?

Why no investigation, why no charges against the DWP for corporate manslaughter?

It beggars belief that the sanctioned assassination of the weakest is allowed to continue unchecked.

The UNUM corporation of America has it’s slimy tentacles around our ministers throats. The private health insurer is calling the shots as we watch our NHS stripped of it’s lifelines by these callous bastards, also controlling the welfare agenda as it lays its dead out for all to see.

Shamed in their own country for disability denial, they sought to bring their fetid, corrupt, ball game to the UK with our politicians wallets welcoming their crooked ideals.

Our people, your loved ones, a brother or sister perhaps, are the fuel of this money hungry, out of control parasite.

You are all expendable, completely forgotten as the dollar bill frenzy takes hold……….
    What is more important?

“YOUR LIVES OR THE SICK CRAVINGS OF A BENT MINISTER”

  31. Universal credit payments will adjust automatically depending on the hours a person works to ensure that people whose hours may change are financially supported and do not face the hassle and bureaucracy of switching their benefit claims.

    ESTHER, SHOW US THE ALGORITHM!

    • Another Fine Mess

UC is paid monthly, so if you have zero hours of work one week, don’t worry you’ll get a £50 benefit payment in about 5 weeks time, as long as you’ve spent 35 hours that week jobsearching of course.

  32. Just as you think they’ve stooped to rock bottom they stoop that bit lower. Absolutely taking the Michael this zero hours contract thing. Enough is enough!
