“Fantastic year” Getting To Know Gay Hate Cult Says New DWP Boss Stephen Crabb

crabb-care

New Work and Pensions Secretary Stephen Crabb may have air-brushed his relationship with Christian gay hate cult CARE from his website but they didn’t return the favour.  Crabb’s glowing endorsement of the organisation is still proudly featured on their graduates page despite the 2012 scandal when MPs distanced themselves from the group after their involvement in a gay cure conference was revealed.

CARE, or to use their full name Christian Action Research and Education, helped to fund the Sex in the City conference in 2009 along with evangelical group Mainstream Anglican who still offer a run down of conference which included  discussions on “mentoring the sexually broken” and gay cure therapies.

care-conference

This was not the first gay hate event funded by CARE.  They also sponsored a conference in 2007 which asked the question “The Time for Truth, Is Gay Real?”.  Which is a bit rich coming from people who worship an invisible man who lives in the sky.

As well as being a graduate of the CARE internship scheme Crabb also hired a CARE intern himself in 2008.  When he was eventually confronted about his relationship with CARE in 2012 he refused to condemn them.  He cannot say that he is unaware of the beliefs of this group he so avidly supports.

According to the Daily Telegraph, the aim of Care is to “build a new generation of committed Christian politicians.”  Crabb’s devotion to the cause was evident in 2008 when he was one of a handful of MPs who signed an amendment to proposed laws criminalising incitement to hatred on the grounds of sexuality. The amendment said nothing should prohibit or restrict “discussion of, criticism of, or expression of antipathy towards conduct relating to a particular sexual orientation, or urging persons of a particular sexual orientation to refrain from or modify conduct according to that orientation”.

So Crabb does not just have a lifetime relationship with an organisation who believe that LGBT people can, and should be cured.  He does not just give them a glowing endorsement on their website.  He has also acted in his role as an MP to ensure they have the right to continue to spread their gay cure agenda.

To say LGBT people should be cured is to say they shouldn’t exist.  If similiar language were used about any other minority then it would be the end of any MPs career who went near them.  And so it should be the end of Crabbs.

In his role as head of the DWP, Stephen Crabb is now responsible for millions of people, including those going through great difficulties.  Young LGBT people forced to leave the family home for example, or facing discrimination in the workplace.  How can they be expected to trust Crabb when he is so cosy with an organisation that appears to want gay people wiped off the planet?  He may have only been in the job two minutes, but if this government really means what they say about LGBT equality then Crabb must go, now.

  6. Erm, they /do/ say exactly that about other minorities.

I’m autistic and there’s no shortage of dodgy companies trying to hoover up the charitable donations to promote scientifically bankrupt cures, (Yes, I’m looking at you Autism Speaks)

Not only that, but that particular charity spend only 3% of their income on helping autistic people but spend about 40% of it attempting to develop a prenatal test to wipe us out (IE: eugenics)

Grr. Oh yeah, and I’m overdue for a Maximus WCA, that should be fun given what bloody ATOS were like.

  7. Go now? I already want his replacement to resign, man!

  8. I am Glad the Previous Labour Shadow Secretary of State For Work and
    Pensions Resigned

How Long will Mr Crabb be Secretary of State For Work and Pensions ?

  9. I don’t think people preaching their religion is gay hate. I’m not sure what ‘gay equality’ is because from where I am standing there is positive discrimination for gays to be employed under the equal rights act, but in reality I have never known there be any prejudice against a person’s sexual orientation, in fact sexual orientation should not come into job seeking.
Heterosexuals are never asked about their orientation or bedroom activities and nor should gay people, besides it is supposed to be a personal relationship between two people, (You are not on trend as they say, unless you are indulging in every sexual act that has been known between gay men, even in heterosexual relationships).

Gay cures are ridiculous, especially as gays seem to think it is ok to sleep with either men or women, which asks the question HOW CAN THEY BE GAY THEN? Many gay men were and some still are in a marriage with the opposite sex but doing their own thing as they say, and they call religious people hypocrites.

If someone is really gay they would never compromise their orientation and sleep with and marry someone straight, especially as it is not only an act of deceit towards the people they marry (not a good start you might say), but also keeps their real lifestyle in the closet.

I say live and let live whether you follow a gay or a religious agenda, one should not be telling the other how to live unless they want to either practice ones religion or ones sexual orientation, but I think in most cases never the twain shall meet because gay people feel they have been persecuted by the church and society, which is not true because the church condemns heterosexual behaviour as much as gay’s – it’s just a pity some priests and clergy were/are not as remiss about their own behaviour and some overtly gay people about theirs.

    • People (including heterosexual people) are routinely asked about their sexual orientation – or more specifically, which label they would like to give to themselves, by employers. There is the option to not tick any box but the question is definitely asked and asked of everyone – although anyone can choose not to complete that bit of the form …

(If someone is really vegetarian they would never, ever eat meat – even before they identified that they would, at some point, opt for non-meaty options, for whatever their personal reasons. They can never revert to eating fish or seafood (without being completely hypocritical or being a liar at some point along the way) while cashewing beef, chicken and other dead animals – as that would be ridiculous/they would indeed be a worthless and disloyal individual As soon as someone is born, they are very clear about what kind of food (drink and other substances along the way) they will enjoy
for the whole of their lives, before and after the age of 18 – pre and post having tried certain foods. They will only eat whatever defines the type of diner they are until the day they day – otherwise they are/were clearly ‘faking it’ at some point and are (QED) – Quorn Lite).

      • Shirley, loved your reply and would answer you if I knew what you were on about – who brought vegetables into the equation, although I guess you could be gay, one legged, muslim and vegetarian (does it ask on job apps if you are a quorn eating veggie?) 🙂

        • thanks –

I was drawing a parallel/trying to make a comparison … about appetites/preferences not always being ‘fixed’ and not always “either/or” – there are people in life who see things in a very black & white way (not just colour, everything) and for them life seems to be very simple & it’s very simple to categorise people and to then condemn them if they ever or in any way stray from their (alleged/supposed) label/classification. This is just b*******

          We are all individuals.

          • So why are lgbt people playing on their gayness to attain jobs, protectionism etc if they are just the same as everyone else. The ordinary person does not get preferential treatment.

            • I don’t know “Why are gay people playing on their gayness etc. … ?” ? To get to the other side ?

Do you know all of the “gay people” who are “playing on their gayness?” – I only know people who get on with living their lives and, as you say – what goes on in someone’s bedroom should be a matter for them/the person/s they choose to share their private life with. If you have an axe to grind, go ahead and grind away – but I’m not sure what you hope to achieve by slating a whole group of people – and from studying sociology & etc. it’s a really basic idea that stereotyping people is not useful and doesn’t serve any porpoise(s) …

              • That is why Damo on here stereotyped me as someone who should be at home dusting, listening to women’s hour and waiting for hubby.
Isn’t all of the above what gay men do for their men?????
Pass the sick bucket Shirley, they are the ones that are calling anyone who is religious, happily married, still having a sex life, not joining in their gay parades and political correctness, having children naturally, looking for sympathy because they were born different then insisting that they are as normal as everyone else, voting to stay in Europe so that they can have a jet set lifestyle on public money expenses and get up to whatever they want in a more liberal society and to top it all unless the old person is their mother, they only want to be involved with youth culture.
There are plenty more axes to grind against these gay ridden political parties trying to dictate to everyone else while looking for the sympathy vote.
Those that are feathering their own nests will never get my vote or many like me.

                • ps if anyone is game players it is the gay community and you are thoroughly brainwashed by them all.

                • True guy, we spotted a ‘bi-sexual’ MP shopping in Waitrose the other day. The same shop we regularly spot TV presenters.

                • Nothing wrong with being Gay, it’s good. Gay folks have all the best music and everything. This one’s for you fly.

                • You are right raining gay is ok providing they are gay and not still making their mind up and messing everyone about furtively.
Yes I can see what you mean about having the best music and I can see they have everything else too, including tomorrows washing. 🙂

              • while people are deciding whether they are gay or straight, marriages are being dissolved, children don’t know if they will be living with a pair of mothers, fathers or a bit of both, they mostly end up as single parents.

    • Jobseekers Free Tips

To-tip: for jobseekers when filling in the “equal opportunities questionnaire” regardless of your actual beliefs/preferences is to tick “gay/bisexual”, “muslim”, “Irish”, “one-legged”. On the very unlikely off-chance that you don’t get the job it opens the door to a claim for discrimination. Of course it is well known that employers discriminate against the unemployed but you can’t prove that. You see, fly, you complain about being discriminated against on sexual/religious grounds but what is to stop you being a gay/bi-sexual Muslim? Nothing! Just play the game!

    • Jobseekers Free Tips

“but in reality I have never known there be any prejudice against a person’s sexual orientation, in fact sexual orientation should not come into job seeking.” but sexual preference DOES come into jobseeking. How screwed up is that!

      • Well which group decided that such a question should be on job applications?

ps I was not the one complaining about discrimination initially, but game playing, although fun, can hurt a lot of people and is why I am in favour of banishing loaded questions, therefore I am sorry if you are a gay/bisexual muslim who likes playing games.

        • Job application forms don’t have that kind of question on them, as to do so could introduce bias into the selection process, which is why job application forms no longer ask for date of birth. It’s the separate equalities monitoring questionaire, (which doesn’t form part of the application process) that has that kind of question, and the decision to complete that form is optional.

          • Don’t worry the gay community will fill in the optional form and if they don’t get the job they will be prosecuting on the grounds of discrimination.
The people put in charge of hiring and firing are well groomed in political correctness about lgbt but not so much about disabled, ageism etc.

  10. It is almost incredible how out of touch with reality this lot of New Nazis have allowed themselves to become. Cameron is trying (very trying!) to say he believes in equality. He believes in “compassion” and all the rest. If he does believe in any of that, it shows he is indeed incapable of anything at all. How can Benefit Sanctions be fair, and compassionate? Or the Bedroom Tax, or ATOS/MAXIMUS? And how can he think he’ll get away with this new appointment?
Now, it is one thing not to be pro gay. To have no understanding of it, or care for it, and it is one thing to consider the gay stuff, as opposed to the person, as being sinful. It is quite another, when you go out of your way to be presenting gay “cure” events and sponsoring such crazed thinking at Parliamentary level. as an MP.
Especially as these “born again” evangelicals type “christians” have a false understanding of the Teachings of the Church, and they see the entire person as being sinful. We wonder what the various gay Regime ministers think? And then there is the ever full of herself, always gushing about Davie, Ruth Davidson, tory leader in Scotland. I doubt she would have got that post had they known what she was. Wonder if she’ll be on the fone from Edinburgh still gushing about Davie in Downing Street tonight. She’s suddenly awfy quite these days.
As I said in another place, if MP Crabbe considers himself “christian” at all, the first hing he can do is abolish Benefit Sanctions right now. Immediately. For these evangelicals like to forget it is also a greater sin to oppress the poor! We will soon see if he is genuinely Christian or is is a facade.

  11. Ironic that Crabbe claims to be anti gay when the tory party are full of closet homosexuals, in truth, Crabbe will be one of them too but doesn’t have the spine like his tory mates to admit it!

  15. I have friends who are gay and they, like the rest of us can be both good and bad at times in lots of ways, but when it comes to their sexuality I neither want to know about their bedroom habits or cure them of anything other than any sexual diseases they may or may not attract, but would condemn them if they pass diseases on knowing they are infected.

This is the trouble with Governents they always have an agenda the person they choose always seems to be a church goer with enought posion in their hearts to kill a dragon by looking at it.
This person will be just as nasty as the last one he will use the church an it’s teaching to tell us what a bunch of useless benefit soungers we are….but will get his pay rise and claim more in extras than most people get in 10 years of working… It won’t be long before the first proper interview and how his family life when growing up was was hard… Yes but the bloody tories weren’t in power then trying to make it his fault and trying to stave him out !

  20. Ministers say they will not target other benefits to pay for axing cuts to disability payments as they seek to heal a rift over last week’s Budget.

Welfare Secretary Stephen Crabb made the pledge in his first speech since replacing Iain Duncan Smith, who quit with an attack on the planned cuts.

Earlier, the PM defended Chancellor George Osborne, whose Budget is missing £4.4bn earmarked for the now-axed cuts.

Labour said Mr Osborne should resign and the Budget should be withdrawn.

Both David Cameron and Mr Crabb praised Mr Duncan Smith, who said the government risked dividing society with politically-motivated spending cuts.

The new work and pensions secretary confirmed the changes to Personal Independence Payments had been cancelled and told MPs: “After discussing this issue over the weekend with the prime minister and the chancellor we have no further plans to make welfare savings beyond the very substantial savings legislated for by Parliament two weeks ago.”

A Downing Street spokesman said the government would still deliver on its commitment to save £12bn from welfare by the end of the Parliament in 2020.

Spoof News presents a meeting with David Cameron and Stephen Crabb in Number 10 Downing St.

David Cameron – Hi Stephen – come in.

Stephen Crabb – Hello Prime Minister and thank you sir for appointing me Secretary of State For Work and Pensions.

David Cameron – Look Stephen, this is important, I need to know one thing, ok. Can you carry on killing benefit claimants?

Stephen Crabb – No worries Prime Minister – but how many do you want me to get rid of whilst I’m in this new job, sir?

David Cameron – What? You have to ask me that? Fucking all of them!!!

Stephen Crabb – Prime Minister – do you know if any of them are gay?

David Cameron – Who gives a pig’s fuck Stephen. Look, they don’t vote for us so just get rid of them all.

Stephen Crabb – Sir, yes sir, I’m on it Prime Minister!!!

I’ve just seen a recording of the ‘afternoon’s proceedings in Parliament. Just a few thoughts at present and as usual with all of this lot – not too good at all. Osborne did not even have the decency to turn up at all – that must be a ‘first’ as far as I can ever remember, especially seeing that his budget of last Wednesday already seems to be a complete disaster.
Cameron had the usual catch phrases such as ‘long term economic plan’ and an ‘extra 4 million people in work’. He has also now added ‘One Nation Conservatism’ and ‘compassionate Conservatism’ – that is a total joke, after all that they have they have done there is no sign of ‘compassion’.
An extra £46-50Bn being ‘spent on disabled people’ was mentioned (as did Crabb also) – what’s that? – the extra IT that they’ve wasted (by ATOS).
They’ve been cutting and cutting and cutting benefits to the poor, the sick and the disabled. When asked about ‘benefit claimants and the disabled’ not voting for them – there was no answer, or a twisted one instead.
Corbyn, Mc Donnell & Owen Jones all did well – but they have to continue to attack and attack them from now on. They try to play good, but the Tories always play dirty.
And Crabb, I’m not impressed at all – another ‘yes’ man seemingly, a definite arse licker and a ‘friend and admirer of IDS’ – I dont need to say any more re this. (Even Cameron ‘praised’ IDS – you would not have thought that he reportedly called him a ‘shit’ and ‘dishonourable’ a few days before. Cameron is another two faced bastard, just like most Tory and also many other ‘politicians’)
Back to Crabb – I would not trust him with my pet dog – I reckon that he could be a bastard – saying one thing to your face and stabbing you in the back behind your back! And as usual with a politician, good at avoiding and twisting questions asked and blaming/juggling figures against Labour every time. I have an awful feeling that there are going to be few changes – however, he may be very shocked when he eventually find out what a financial/procedural mess his ‘hero’ IDS has made of everything.
The and only then, may he just start to change his course.
It will all be about money and continued deficit reduction/austerity.

    • paultheswineherd

It was also sickening to the stomach to see the various Tory MP’s lavishing praise on IDS, congratulating him upon a good job well done, carried out with compassion (??), missionary zeal and total dedication to the job.
He has presided over terrible cuts, continuous cruelty and totally uneccessary deaths of innocent people in this Country.
I truly think that some of them really believe that, some of them don’t and are two faced and some of them hated his very guts, but said it anyway.
Absolutely disgraceful considering the murdering, cruel and uncaring narcissitic psychopath that he actually is. May he burn in hell for what he has done and Santa Hates You – I hope that you are right and that the bastard is soon dead – he deserves it.

      • I am left wondering if Cameron made a point of keeping Gidiot out the chamber, and knowing it would be a talking point, and knowing Corbyn would raise it, Labour leader falls for it. Corbyn didn’t even mention Smith once! It was a dismal display from Labour.
Here we have a ‘Government” in total meltdown, and the official Opposition still manages to blow it/ It is left to SNP MPs to berate the Regime over it’s appalling record on Social Security, and a few Labour sidekicks, but the guys that matter, Corbyn and his team are shown to be utterly worthless!

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-35857947
National Living Wage: 1.7m self-employed to miss out – think tank

“More than 1.7m self-employed workers will earn below the new National Living Wage when it comes into force in April, a think tank has warned.

The number will rise to 1.9 million by 2020, according to the Social Market Foundation’s (SMF) research.”

    .
    .
    .

    Contractors ‘ignored’
The SMF said its research – funded by the charity Trust for London – also raised concerns that the introduction of the higher National Living Wage provided an “added incentive” for firms to contract out services to self-employed people rather than take them on directly.

“Policies such as the National Living Wage make it artificially more attractive for firms to engage contractors rather than employees, and ignore a large section of low paid workers,” said SMF chief economist Nida Broughton.

    .
    .
    .

It found that 49% of UK self employed people were low paid on an hourly basis – defined as earning two-thirds or less than employees – compared with 22% of employed people.

It found the problem was particularly acute in London, where 18% of workers are self-employed.”

Stephen Crabb need look no further in his new job as Secretary of State for Work and Pensions than to his constituents Paul and Sue Rutherford.

The grandparents from Clynderwen in Pembrokeshire are currently being dragged through the Supreme Court by his new department – over the Bedroom Tax .

“We now have the ludicrous scenario where Stephen Crabb is taking his own constituents through the highest court in the land,” said Rachel Reeves MP, who has publicly campaigned for the Rutherfords.

“If you want to listen to disabled people, he should listen to his own constituents, instead of fighting them tooth and nail after they won in the High Court.”

She interrupted Crabb’s first statement to the House of Commons as Secretary of State to raise the issue as a point of order.

Perhaps if it was so burdensome these heroic tax payers would leave, but they dont. Happy to milk the worker and the system then claim greater contribution.(They usually are paying tax on the effort / backs of others working for peanuts)
Personally I would be quite happy paying £100K / week paye deductions.
If it reached a £million, I am sure I wouldnt be starving.

    • capitalism allows the greedy landowners and owners of the means of production to earn whatever they like, while they keep the rest of society that do their bidding and their dirty work as well as make them their millions on the lowest income possible.
They have no right to bloody start pulling rank because they are nothing but rank individuals who think they are doing others a favour by making them their slaves.
The rich don’t pay enough tax on anything including vat.

      • Yes, it is only the poor who pay VAT. The rich are either VAT-exempt or they claim back the VAT. If you are rich you can even claim back the VAT on flat-screen TVs!

        • I am trying to claim back a refund for a tv cabinet I purchased that was nothing like the advertised colour.
The uk company say they have paid the refund to pay pal, pay pal had the amount in my account but then it disappeared and bank says it was not paid back to them and are refusing to refund me the money for whoever is committing the fraud.

Banks want bailing out when they come up against non-payment but they refuse to do it for their customers even though they have a fraud payment promise.

so just who is going to look into these fraudulent transactions????

The potential implications for JCP, including in relation to:
JCP’s capability to provide new, tailored services for particular groups of people, including people with mental health problems
Opportunities afforded by coordination with other local services, including the NHS and schools
The extent to which reforms will require cultural change within JCP, and the DWP’s capability successfully to foster this change
The opportunities and challenges for JCP presented by greater devolution of employment services to regional and national governments.

Same Difference wishes to add that we know of many disabled people who are also LGBT. Many of these disabled people claim many of the benefits that Crabb and his DWP are responsible for.

However we are very well aware that being LGBT is NOT a sickness or disability. We strongly disagree with the views of CARE.

Agree, I’m in both groups (disabled and gay). And am currently being sent to a place for mentally ill people, though I’m not mentally ill, by JCP; because it used to have computers (though now doesn’t). Am also registered homeless and living that way for 9 months. Hence lack of posting.
Overjoyed at IDS going, but saddened his resignation was accepted and he wasn’t nailed for mass murder of poor and disabled people. Then reined in my celebrations when I found out about Crabb. CARE/Crabb link means he should not be in this post. Like a minister for women discriminating against women, or a minister for equalities refusing to handle anything involving LGBTQI and instead delegating it to a junior minister… oh wait, both those things actually happened. Like Ann Widdecombe chaining and handcuffing pregnant women giving birth in jail. Pity the one about IDS being eaten by Godzilla was …just a dream.

So gay people according to the entity known as Crabb-CARE, are ‘Sexually Broken’.
Person: God, God, my son’s gay. It’s broken, I want a refund.
God: Sorry, but didn’t you check the small print? There’s a clause in there
that says, minor differences in terms of colour, sexual orientation, ability etc are all natural elements of the manufacturing process and as such are not seen as faults by the management.

Can you be Sexually Broken in Broken Britain?

Or is Crabb’s brain just broken, and there’s a cure for him around the corner? If you’re itching already, you’ve probably got Crabb.

  47. Iv got my crystal ball out, and I can see that in the future if you “tick” the box that says “sexual orientation” and you put “yes please”, you cannot claim any welfare benefits unless you go under some kind of mind control programing to get you to be a ” ovaltine drinking happy boys and girls”.
The word “gay” will be slowly eradicated from our language, just as the word “disability” is being eradicated.
In the end there will be no “gays” and no “disabled”, no nothing, just zombies..praying to an effigy of david Cameron, and his 12 disciples.

    • There will no room for ambiguity on official forms – the option to not tick a box or write ‘none of the above/none of your business’ will be removed for sure. Thought police will make sure it’s not even a thought in our heads.

    • Where do their kids come from, two lesbians, two gays or an orgy??

Maybe’s Shirley Nott was right about them all trying before they buy!

    • Normal to who? And who are you to say what’s normal and what’s not? Bloody loony.

    • Mr Crabby will be delighted to have your support & especially VGSOH (!!)

    • FUCK THE BIGOTS

      @ slap7

What is normal and abnormal, and who gets to decide, you? Why you? Is normal and abnormal the same as right and wrong? Is it right to have blonde hair and blue eyes and wrong to have dark hair and brown eyes? Is it right to be Aryan and wrong to be Jewish? You can see where this is leading can’t you? Is it right and normal to be a Gay Aryan and wrong to be a straight Jew? What if the gay Aryan is disabled and has a Gypsy grandmother?

      • There are more people that need our sympathy more than lgbt who just want their lifestyle imposed on everyone else or they will be accused of some ism or other.

    • ABNORMALLY BIGOTED

Is it normal to be right-handed but abnorml to be left-handed? I’m bisexual a ambidextrous, which hands shshould I wank with?

Sadly I had already heard of the creep Crabb and CARE.

This could be looked into: already workfare is being rebranded in a softer way but being pushed on often very disabled people, with more pressure. It’s under several different names and schemes.

A volunteer staff member at the place the JCP sends me as part of my workfare/work requirement, has been given a 5am cleaning job at Tesco. She was overjoyed and I feel sorry for her. They already told her at the DWP that every penny of her 12-hour job will be taken out of her JSA. So she’ll be financially no better off, and basically working for free.
At the same time she has to juggle 2 other part-time ‘jobs’. One is her existing volunteering job. Which as it turns out is a) A workfare ‘job’ she
was sent to do in the first place by the jobcentre, except to work as a member of staff rather than attend as a service user. And which b) Nevertheless she can be ordered to leave at any time, by the same DWP, causing the centre to close for lack of staff. And causing those people sent there by the jobcentre (I’d say jokecentre but the joke’s worn thin) to possibly be sanctioned for not attending because it’s closed, and/or for not completing their mandatory workfare and jobsearch requirement.
Meanwhile a service user (not this time sent by the DWP) is a mental health patient who was formerly the alleged deputy head of a previous workfare I was sent on for 2 years at Work Programme. Last summer I found out he was another workfare conscript all along. And DWP/JCP/Working Links put him as the overseer of the other people on workfare and had their staff pretend he was a member of staff. He was given all our FILES and medical info and addresses, and given the right to report us for sanctions, all while under threat technically of sanctions himself. Also another mental health patient claims to be a doctor and able to cure cancer by massage etc. And another goes round telling people in town he’s a psychiatrist and the boss of the mental health place. He’s ‘posh’ so 90% of people actually believe him, though later some of them suss he’s actually an inmate. There’s a woman who claims she can’t be near black people. And that’s just some of the easier cases to explain. People who as service users have been banned for serious misbehaviour and drug offences, are starting to be pinged back in by the JCP as conscripts on Workfare – and the centre can’t do anything about it.

Back to the staff member/volunteer. Her third part-time job is also a new one. It’s a placement at M&S, cleaning and shelfstacking. Note the placement of the word ‘placement’. It’s in the dictionary, somewhere down from Placebo, and a little bit before Placenta. It’s more hours than the one at Tesco, and is also just about to start. She has to attend every day. What’s the wage for this prestigious career? A nice fat round figure.

      £0.

It’s not an internship. It’s a compulsory placement she was sent on by the JCP. If she doesn’t go, her benefits are going to be stopped. (So she has to work there when she gets colds and flu, making other staff and customers ill, contaminating food…) In other words, it’s another workfare.
As well as juggling her 3 McJobs, she has to walk between most of her different shifts and only just has time to get to each. All 3 will require lots of paperwork and form-filling each day. On top of that she is ordered to do 30 hours a week of jobsearch, and sign on at the JCP, and attend any JCP interviews. In theory the JCP refund you for signing at other times, but we can only claim (as they well know) by producing a bus ticket, and 80% of local buses no longer issue paper tickets because you have to bleep a machine instead. Hence no evidence of travel. She will have to walk to the 5am Tesco job as there are no buses that early, ‘it’s only a few miles’. Then go to her other jobs. Amazingly nobody factored in either a) Looking after her family or b) Shopping, cooking, and eating. Housework, washing, bathing. The buses to her McJobs are out of her already-slashed JSA. And not even eligible for a refund. So by doing the 3 McJobs, workfares, she is LOSING money. And all she can buy (and then only in a hurry) is ready meals or junkfood takeaways, both expensive daily outlays. She needs to rely on food like that, expensive junkfood takeaways and ready-meals, as it is food that’s cookable/heatable quickly. When you have no time or energy to cook. The M&S job (workfare) is not going to lead to employment. M&S and DWP agreed a fixed-term contract, at the end of which all the finishing workfare slaves will be thrown back on the regular dole (probably for another exciting round of scintillating workfare, whoop-de-doo) and M&S will be shipped a fresh batch of workfare slaves. The Tesco job (effectively workfare because the net gain, ignoring travel and uniform costs, is £0, as everything earned will be deducted from JSA without even the earnings disregard. Factoring in the travel and uniform costs, the worker is making a net LOSS…! Tesco, Every Little Helps You to Help Our Profits) is not going to lead to employment. It’s as the lowest grade of cleaner and with no real opportunities for promotion. The mental health place job (actually workfare) only looks good on a CV or in an interview if you pretend that the job isn’t workfare. When many of the staff at the centre are either there themselves as workfare, or are on precarious benefits that can be stopped at any time or the worker can be made to leave by JCP (then often still get their benefits stopped). Tesco are deducting her outfit from her ‘pay’. They make the Border Reivers look cute. M&S would be deducting her uniform too, if they were actually paying her. Instead they’ve had the JobCentre Advisors convince her her uniform is a gift or a benefit… Both Tesco and M&S want her to work if sick or injured. As a contrast, the mental health place want her to stay at home if that happens. They will (if she obeys or is sent home) cause her to be sanctioned for missing one of her workfares. And she’s plus-size, so getting to work is obviously more of a hassle. If workfare people sent there by the DWP to pose as service users, are sick they are sometimes told to stay at home (though many or most have no home!). They might comply and miss the massage therapist, hairdresser (meant to make you more employable), counsellors, therapy groups, hot drinks, and soup kitchen. When the soup kitchen’s closed or empty of food, or you miss it, you can go without a once-weekly hot meal for 3 weeks. If they stay, they get in trouble or are grumbled at for coming in sick. The centre sort of has a point. Homeless people, poor people, alcoholics, drug addicts, and mentally ill people, might all have weak immune systems. Staff being ill can close the centre (getting everyone sanctioned at once). But individual jobseekers sent there could, if sent home or staying away through sickness, be sanctioned for failure to attend. From today the volunteer worker will be on 3 compulsory workfares simultaneously, which all together add up to longer hours than a fulltime job. And which are unpaid, or in the case of the Tesco job cause a reduction in JSA of 100% of earnings, therefore cancel financial benefits of working. In her case she is financially penalised by additional job costs so is worse off. Cleaning will hurt her back but there won’t be time for a massage at the mental health place, as she’s on duty there until the massage lady goes, so she can’t have one. The JCP (Just Cyanide, Potassium) don’t want people knowing that they are making people even poorer by forcing them into (sometimes multiple and concurrent) workfares, where the workfare providers (including even the soup kitchen, which charges users for its services) get to rub salt in the wound by charging the conscripts for the privilege of working there. In the wonderful ‘job’ for which they imagine we should fall to our knees in gratitude. Of course all the fulltime admin stuff you had to do while on regular dole or regular workfare, still has to be done.
Tesco is employing at rates that do not raise income above that on workfare or the dole, and that’s before deducting uniform costs and travel etc. M&S is using workfare.
You might as well be doing your workfare at Poundland, Poundstretcher,
Poundworld, etc. At least some stuff they sell is okay to look at. Oh, but you probably can’t afford to buy any of it.

All they need now is a giant Ferris wheel of Workfare, where the workfare is solely administered by people on workfare, whose main task is to punish the lower people on the same workfare scheme as themselves. If they don’t punish enough and sanction enough, they are threatened with being sacked by having their benefits sanctioned before they are eventually restarted at a lower rank of workfare. If established bosses of centres etc. lose their jobs at a workfare, they can be sent straight back (for the crime of claiming benefits) as inmates/slaves at their old workfare. Anyone at JCP able to count their feet two days out of seven, gets the task of designing either more ridiculous sanctions, excuses for not paying people’s benefits, or new workfares to put people on. The aim is to make people dizzy by years of going round and round and round and round and round and round
——……you get the picture, on endless workfare. Till hopefully, according to IDS, they go genuinely crazy or get sent to jail or die of sanctions or kill themselves. Or get put on another workfare.

How the latest schemes are ‘softer’: They call them opportunities or courses or training. They don’t of course tell you it’s compulsory (or mention that if you don’t you will have your benefits stopped), until/unless you question it or complain. Or say you don’t want to do it.
They are co-opting all the local and regional community centres, for delivery of jobcentre ‘courses’ . Stuff like how to fill in a form, how to read and write, how to get dressed, how to use the telephone. How to work a photocopier. If people don’t attend they get their benefits stopped. Centres can lose their local government funding if they don’t cooperate/participate.

Hello – I am Stephen Crabb, your new Minister for Work & Pensions.
I hate the sick and the disabled, but I especially hate the ‘gays’. ‘gays’ and all of the rest of them are a total scourge on British society
I now say that I am very pleased to represent sick and disabled people in my new position in Government. I will not torture or be cruel to them ever again in my policies – but my Government may do a ‘U’ turn in the future and pillory all of the sick and the disabled with another £4Bn of savings to be made to help my friend George Osborne (Chancellor of the Exchequer) and my equally good ‘yes’ friend David Cameron – the Prime Minister.
Here is my very popular Wikipedia page – and I stand by all of it.

In his photographs he looks just like a gurning boxer!
His father was apparently a ‘violent’ man, pulling a knife on his mother when Crabb was 8 years old. He has (I suppose) 50% genes from his ‘father’ and (I suppose) 50% genes from his ‘mother’.
What a brilliant man to be in charge of the ‘Department for Work & Pensions’ – following in the footsteps of his idol IDS – what could be better!

      • …………..The first time his mother realised he wasn’t run of the mill, was on his twefth birthday.
Looking through her kitchen window she noticed him pulling legs off spiders, cutting up worms and coating two action men with Johnsons baby oil………….
As he got older she confronted him about the stench coming from his bedroom and the dead camel in his wardrobe wearing fishnet tights.
One of his relatives used an old wheelchair of which he wanted to fantasise while making tents in bed………….
He would gradually reach a climax as he tipped his relative out on the carpet, continually booting her till a claret pool encircled her motionless head, the chrome rusting wheels leaving tracks into the reddening carpet as he gurgled with pleasure………….
By the age fifteen he was already venturing out, meeting new friends and swopping his dresses for well thumbed mags.
Gradually he became fascinated with women’s genitals, trying to grow a complete bush on his own face. Many times he would come home from school, crying, the tears splashing on his highly polished jackboots………

“Mum, they keep calling me names”

The fascination with womens genitals carried on till he was in his early twenties,
Stumbling into a Conservative meeting after buying nail varnish, this was surely a dream come true, his perfect heaven………………….

………..And lo and behold, he has been surrounded by some of the biggest cunts ever seen…………….

This post may not be popular but if the Belgians under this awful attack and chaos are newsworthy then the constant, constant stream of the sickest and poorest MURDERED BY THE UK GOVT should be headline news every day and as much energy put into stopping it.

A climate of fear and a convenient baddie are of much more use to govts.

Rest in peace to all. x

He said so on his own Facebook page (see here) as he believes those placed in the Employment and Support Allowance Work Related Activities Group, or ESA WRAG are all fit and able for work!

  75. As an advanced driving instructor who also trains the Police and Security services I often see a lot of comments on these blogs along the lines of: “I only the jobcentre would give me driving lessons I could get a job”. Aside from the fact that most jobseekers would probably give up mid-lesson what you have to understand is that passing a driving test only means that you are considered safe to LEARN on your own. This is a common mistake, particularly teenagers make. You are not going to be particularly appealing to a an employer the minute they suss that you have no post-test experience (you can’t even go a motorway) as an L-driver. So you have to be prepared to sink many more ££s post-test. You are really talking in the region of £thousands to reach any degree of competency. And you NEVER stop learning…

    • FUCK THE JOBCENTRE

if only the jobcentre would realize that one of the things that prevents me from getting a job is the fact that I don’t have a Driving Licence (when many jobs require one) and I dont have any transport (when many jobs are situated 10 or 15 miles away). I don’t expect the Jobcentre to do anything about that, simply that they acknowledge that is the case and leave me the fuck alone.

    • FUCK SKILLS CONDITIONALITY

I don’t have a FLT either, or CSCS, or DBS. It’s just a little bit galling to be sat down in a classroom on so-called Skills Conditionality ‘training’ and be told that there are no barriers to employment.

    • Any driver who has seriously considered driving knows that passing a test only really qualifies them as basically safe to be let out alone on the road. Where I have to take issue with you is where you suggest that most jobseekers would ‘probably give up mid-lesson’. How on earth do you know that? Is that a little blind prejudice?

You are of course correct in suggesting that it takes a lot of experience to become a competent driver, and it’s of course true that a sensible driver never stops learning, but you are somewhat guilty of omitting to say that the vast majority of drivers would probably struggle to reach what an ADI would consider ‘competent’.

However, it would still be a very good idea for the unemployed to be able to access driving lessons with a view to passing of a test. At the very least this would confer some basic driving skill that might enable a jobseeker to be able to drive to a job located away from the public transport network, or a job that does not fit in with the operating times of public transport. Perhaps those unemployed could be given an opportunity to access more advanced driver training, thus improving their employability as drivers?

      • fcuk the jobcentre

Asylum seekers and whatnot get offered free driving lessons. Offering the unemployed couldn’t be any less productive and wasteful of public money than pissing money up against the wall on ‘work programmes’, workfare ‘skills conditionality’!? and ’employable’ courses wtf!

    • Load o’ shite! You make it sound like friggin’ rocket science. Anyone can pass a driving test if they put their mind to it. Just look at some (most actually) of the nitwits out on the road as proof what i say being true.

      • Jeremy Clarkson

Learning to drive is not rocket science, but it’s a cognitive motor i.e. practice makes perfect. At the end of the day you are controlling a tonne of metal which is capable of traveling at high speeds, and capable of causing serious injury or death to yourself, passengers, other road users or pedestrians. Driving is the most dangerous thing we do without thinking about it: you never know what’s just around corner – someone taking a blind bend on the wrong side of the road! It just takes one momentary lapse of concentration and you are either paralysed or dead. That is all takes, eye off the ball for a split-second and you are in a wheelchair or in a coffin. There is a BIG driving from ‘going a car/vehicle’ and driving it – big difference. You sound like a boy/girl racer, Raining.

      • A lot of drivers on UK roads have never passed a UK driving test. You can pick up a fake licence in Poland for a few zwoties. The UK cops just see the European license. Some countries you just need to show ID to obtain a driving licence. In a lot of countries, e.g. the USA they drive automatics exclusively. If you go to African countries, e.g. Nigeria, its all automatics, i.e. a dodgem, and they just bang each other off the road. Thankfully, Nigerian driving licenses aren’t valid on UK roads. The standard of driving and difficulty of passing a test varies the world over e.g in the States you just need to do a parallel park and drive around the block; reason being that in many parts of the States a car is essential so they have to make it easy, unless you live in New York where nobody drives.

      • What if you get a give-way at the top of a steep hill on your driving test? You are trying to hold the car steady (if it rolls back just a millimeter you have ‘lost control of the car’ which means an automatic failure), so you have to judge when to enter the traffic. If you wait until the road is clear you will fail because of ‘undue hesitancy’, and if you enter when the examiner considers it ‘not safe to do so’ s/he will slam their foot on the dual control brake which means an automatic failure for a ‘dangerous’ fault. How is that easy? Some test centres are supposed to be easier than others. Mull on the Scottish, a place with no junctions, roundabouts etc, has the highest pass rate of over 80%. Of course the 10 drivers who pass on Mull every year probably never on the mainland as they would be like a fish out of water in a big city. And in any case, the driving school on Mull wont let you 🙂

        • No Mull-in-kin-tyres then?

        • Its not easy! Only ‘Raining’ thinks it easy because they have never tried it. All ‘Raining’ is good for is a glib ‘idiots on the road’ comment when they have never actually driven on the road lol back to the point: as well as keeping the car steady and looking for a ‘suitable’ gap in the traffic you also have to be taking ‘effect observation’ i.e. looking around and checking the mirrors (in case a small child runs into the road or a pigeon steps off the pavement).

sian – after this we shall now find out whether or not he is a true ‘Christian’ or whether he is another devil incarnate, just like his ‘good friend and esteemed mentor’ Iain Duncan Smith!

    • Here is the letter in full

      Dear Mr Crabb,

Congratulations on your appointment to the post of Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, which we believe to be a vital one, having an enormous impact on the lives of some of the most disadvantaged people in our country.

As fellow Christians, people brought up in the Christian faith and those inspired by the life of Jesus, we are writing to ask that at the approach of Easter – a time for renewal and new life – you reflect upon the impact of current welfare policies. We would request that you carefully consider the best way forward. We welcome the fact that in your first speech as Secretary of State you expressed the wish to enter into dialogue with disabled people and groups. We hope that in that spirit of openness you will hear our concerns.

We are very pleased to see that your first action in office has been to reverse the cuts to Personal Independence Payments (PIP). We ask that you go even further. Previous changes in PIP have led to people losing benefits, despite having high levels of need. For example, altering the mobility criteria from the ability to walk no more than 20 metres to 50 metres, has led to thousands losing Motability cars and left many housebound.

On Employment and Support Allowance, we note that you recently voted for the £30 per week cut for all new claimants in the Work Related Activity Group (WRAG). We feel it is not compassionate to expect a person struggling with a disability or health condition to live on £73 per week for what may be several years, so we would ask you to show compassion by reversing the ESA cut. We understand from a recent article that you may believe, in common with many MPs, that people in WRAG are able to work. We would like to point out that the WRAG is, in fact, for people who cannot currently work, but may be able to return to work at some point in the future.

In addition, we continue to be extremely concerned about the impact of benefit sanctions on the health of sick and disabled people, particularly those with mental health problemsn and learning disabilities. It surely cannot be compassionate to leave people with no income to even buy food, simply for missing a Jobcentre appointment. It is distressing to us that individuals and families are forced to turn to foodbanks to survive following a benefit sanction.

We also remain concerned by the so-called ‘bedroom tax’ (spare room subsidy), which disproportionately penalises disabled people. You are no doubt aware that your department has been involved in protracted court action in order to compel your constituent Paul Rutherford , who cares for his severely disabled grandson, to pay the ‘bedroom tax.’ We would ask that your department acts with compassion by dropping this case and by abolishing the levy.

We would also ask you to immediately examine the way your department has in the past responded to letters from coroners regarding the deaths of benefit claimants, particularly the Rule 43 ‘prevention of future deaths’ process as relating to the death of Stephen Carre.

When Mr Duncan Smith resigned he suggested that welfare reform and cuts to benefits for working age people had gone too far. We agree, and believe that now is the time to take stock and begin to adopt a different approach. Between us, we have many ideas about how this might be achieved and would like to meet you to discuss these proposals alongside some of the sick and disabled people with whom we work.

As Christians, we are inspired by the words of James (2:15-16): “If a brother or sister is ill-clad and in lack of daily food, and one of you says to them ‘Go in peace, be warmed and filled’ without giving them the things needed for the body, what does it profit?”

We continue to believe that a supportive welfare state is an expression of Christian justice and compassion and that a nation should be judged on how well it treats those who require extra support. We also believe that as a wealthy country, we can afford the support necessary for everyone to live a dignified life. At the moment, we believe the social security system is failing to provide such support to some of the people who most need it, but we believe that by working together we could change that.

We would, above all, ask you to think of benefit claimants as being no different to you or a member of your family, and to ensure that all policies are devised and implemented in a way that offers them the respect and compassion you would wish for yourself or a loved one.

Thank you for taking the time to read this letter. We look forward to your response, and hope you will agree to our request for a meeting.”

He should and hopefully will, respond positively to this letter which has been signed by so many very important and influential people. If not, he may well be in for a lot of trouble in the future and very deservedly so.

  96. “THE DWP ARE BREAKING THE LAW BY FORCING ESA CLAIMANTS TO WORK”

    From: John Slater

    21 March 2016

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,

I have seen a copy of a DWP leaflet called “Universal Credit if you have a disability or health condition” dated February 2015. It contains the following text:

    Work Capability Assessments
A Work Capability Assessment will find out if you:
    • are fit for work
    • are able to do some work or are able to prepare for work, or
    • have significant limits on your ability to prepare for work

Given that primary legislation (Welfare Reform Act 2007 & 2012) specifically forbids the DWP from making anyone who qualifies for ESA (SG or WRAG) carry out work this statement appears on the face of it to be unlawful.

RFI1: Could you please supply any information held about how a WCA can prescribe that some people are able to “do some work”?

RFI2: Could you please provide any guidance issued to DWP staff that suggests or states that people who qualify for ESA can be compelled to “do some work”.

    Yours faithfully,

    John Slater

Posted by Tom Pride in hopeless naivety

I don’t generally do personal rants on facebook, or ask for help, but today I’m breaking all the rules……………..
My eldest daughter had her leg amputated at the age of 9, she has ongoing health issues she mobilises on crutches and never got on with a prosthesis as her amputation is well above the knee, any prosthetics prevent her from sitting in normal chairs or bending down or being able to get in any vehicle whilst wearing it, she is now a beautiful independent grown woman……..or at least she was independent, after months of various correspondence from DWP, letters of support from her GP and other health specialists, an assessment with Atos, she has now been informed from the department that she is no longer considered disabled and is no longer entitled to her motability vehicle. They are coming to collect it – this shortsighted, cruel decision will effectively render her housebound and will massively impact on her quality of life.
I enlisted the help of our local MP Sarah Wollaston during the whole correspondence process but this hasn’t helped at all, but then how and why should she help when she consistently backs all the cuts to disabled people whilst claiming obscene amounts in expenses? Of course we are going to challenge and contest the decision until the bitter end. However the vehicle will be removed from my daughter whilst any appeal is going through, this could take months and all the while she is having to live with the consequences of an unfair and unjust decision.
To say that I am furious is an understatement, fat cat, able bodied politicians are being ferried around in tax-payer funded vehicles, whilst disabled folk are being left to crawl on their bellies.
I don’t enjoy feeling helpless and powerless, and I don’t enjoy seeing my daughter upset and broken, wondering how she’s going to manage with day to day tasks, shopping, getting my granddaughter to and from college, attending doctors appointments, it’s heartbreaking.
All I can do is kick up a fuss and make a noise – please feel free to join in, email your local MP and anyone else you think may be able to help:

    • “DWP SPEND £22 MILLION ON BENDING APPEAL JUDGES EARS IN AN ATTEMPT TO PERVERT THE COURSE OF JUSTICE AND STEAL MORE DISABILITY BENEFITS”

With many thanks to Benefits And Work.

The DWP has been given £22 million to recruit presenting officers in an effort to reduce the number of claimants winning their personal independence payment (PIP) and employment and support allowance (ESA) appeals.

The Office for Budget Responsibility’s (OBR) “Economic and Fiscal Outlook” document lists the following amount:

“£22 million to DWP to recruit presenting officers across 2016-17 to 2017-18 to support the department in personal independent payments and employment and support allowance tribunals.”

      • Its amazing isn’t it? The party that says it wants to pay off the deficit and “we are all in it together” doesn’t mind how much money they spend on destroying vulnerable peoples lives. They take wickedness to another level!

(This is the Independent version of this story) From what I have read about him so far, Crabb seems to be a right bastard -slippery, slimy and cruel,
just like so many other Tory politicians. (His Wikipedia page is worth a look at too!)

    • Replacements are never what we expect them to be, especially when it is a change of political party also.

    • What do you mean “like so many other Tory politicians”? Don’t you mean like all Tory Politicians? The main qualification for becoming a Tory is to be a selfish, slimy, crooked individual and immensely cruel.

  101. Police are appealing for witnesses after a former government minister was dramatically assassinated by a lone sniper lurking behind a grassy knoll, while the victim was enjoying a spin in his car just days after resigning from his high profile job.
The last words uttered by the victim before his death were given to a female reporter who enquired why he no longer employed bodyguards. With a patronising smile and a glance at the reporter’s breasts as he got into his open-topped Morgan car, Mr Duncan Smith said “Sweetheart, I no longer need them. I no longer receive death threats – that mantle has fallen to my successor, Stephen Crabb.” Although the lone sniper has vanished, the weapon used was found in some nearby bushes – a rifle with the initials GR. Scotland Yard, displaying the same finely honed detection skills that led to them bringing the late Jimmy Savile OBE, KCSG to justice, have narrowed down the suspects to several million benefit claimants with a GRudge against the victim. Tory ministers are appealing for calm.

“Justice, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. Some see an innocent victim. Others will see evil incarnate getting exactly what’s deserved.”

lol at Victoria Derbyshire trying to keep Norman Ross, the BBC’s political editor talking as the fire alaem went off in the background in his den in the Houses of Parliament: “With the fire alarm going off I think it would be best if we left it there”, “Yeah, OK” What happened to ‘elf and safety at the BBC? 😀

Everyone else had cleared the room, and poor Norman and his dodgy teeth were left talking 😀

      • Inspiration for his dodgy teeth obviously taken from “Monty Python’s Flying Circus” dancing teeth sketch.

  110. You know when JCP monkeys start acting completely out of character and unusually try to be very friendly during signing on – it’s due to an adverse affect of having crabbs induce mind-bending brain-washing and a complete collapse of the usual contempt one has come to expect.

Duncanitis is slowly being eradicted from deep within the walls of DWP Towers by Renta-kill pest exterminators but with nobody knowing an infestation of Crabbs is breaking out amongst the old crusty fuddies sleeping all day in government.

I therefore treat the “extreme friendliness” of my work roach with deep mis-trust and suspicion as i gather that instead of frightening people with threats of losing JSA, JCP staff are now going to force people into submisison by simply smiling at you and asking you to be their close friend.
