A Bungling Fucking Idiot On A Mission From God, That Was The Real Iain Duncan Smith

IDS-slug

Good riddance, to an absolute tool.

Pass the fucking sick bag.  Iain Duncan Smith’s performance on the Andrew Marr show this morning was one of the most nauseating displays politics has seen in a long, long time – and there’s been stiff competition.  His crass portrayal of himself as a decent man, trying to do the right thing for both the people and his party, is perhaps his greatest self-delusion yet.  Remember one thing from that interview if you were unlucky enough to watch it.  Iain Duncan Smith, quietly amid his bluster, admitted that he agreed with the cuts to disability benefits that he resigned over, but that they should have come as part of a package of wider support.

Every claimant knows what that support would be.  Yet another chance to squander billions pursuing his messianic fantasy of himself as a great welfare reformer with more workfare, more sanctions and more harassment from Jobcentre busy-bodies.  George Osborne said no, cut the fucking crap, we’re supposed to be pretending to save money.  So Iain Duncan Smith did what he always does when he doesn’t get his own way.  He had a tantrum.

This petulant temper is why it has been tactically useful at times to portray him as a conniving and brutal architect of death and hardship. This approach no doubt even contributed to his recent flounce.  The truth though, is that he’s not that clever.  He’s worse than that.  Iain Duncan Smith is a bungling fucking idiot on a mission from God.  And like all zealots before him, so convinced has he been that he is treading the one true path that his eyes, and heart, have remained closed to the consequences of his actions.  Consequences that have been tragic.  Consequences that have included the state’s bureaucracy driving some of the UK’s poorest citizens to their deaths by placing intolerable and unsurvivable pressure on those already living fractured lives.  He has not been called a killer for nothing.

But to view his actions as the work of a mere power-crazed murderer fails to see the entire horrifying picture.  Which is that amongst think-tanks, charities, self-appointed experts in the welfare-to-work industry and even the Labour Party – perhaps most of all the Labour Party – Iain Duncan Smith’s views are not extreme.  There is a consensus amongst these respectably clad vermin, even if not all would have the stomach to play out their ideological beliefs to their logical conclusion – as Iain Duncan Smith was proud and happy to do.  This consensus believes that poverty is an individual failing not a structural problem.  That it can be cured by fixing poor people, not society.  That all it takes is hard work to prosper under modern capitalism and so it is right, natural and unavoidable that our entire lives should be a competition – we must constantly strive, every day, to reach the next rung on the economic ladder.  That happiness is just around the corner if we work hard and do the right thing – and if we don’t then we must be punished, to help steer us on the path to prosperity.

It is, they imply, a competition everybody can win if we all just pull our socks up and put in the hours.  But competitions don’t work that way, especially when they are rigged by private schools, elite universities, inherited wealth and structural unemployment.  A lottery where everyone wins means sharing the spoils amongst us all.  The capitalist class have no intention of ever doing that.  Their ideology is a sham, a crude self-deception to wash away their guilt and justify their greed.  And they are all fucking in it together.

None of this gets Iain Duncan Smith off the hook.  He is a truly nasty man.  A devious bigot, a liar and a calculating plotter without the intellect to back it up.  A proper fucking wanker who needs kicking round a pub car park – not that it would teach him anything,  it wouldn’t, but it would be nice to see him bleed for a change.

Like most of his fellow Tories, his own privilege shielded him from any understanding of what he was really creating.  He seems to think that a benefit sanction – removing the only means of survival for those without work or savings – is just a mild rebuke, a welcome jolt as he put it to encourage people to try a bit harder.  In the world of Iain Duncan Smith money never runs out, so how could he understand what it really means to have nothing at all.  Why would he understand the devastating and debilitating consequences of extreme poverty.  How anguish, hunger and intolerable stress demolishes people.  That destitution means spending the day thinking about where the next meal is going to come from, not updating your fucking CV.  His reckless reforms have been like a doctor injecting cyanide into the veins of his patients and then being appalled when they die.  Then thinking the dose must be too low, they need more poison, to incentivise them back to health.  To help them learn.

Of course the likes of George Osborne have been only too happy to exploit this moral shield that, until now, had masked the cruelty of his government to the dwindling number of genuine conservatives in his party.  Those who believe in God, and charity, who put a penny in the box for the poor and pat cripples on the head.  The ones who don’t want to upset the vicar and only torture kittens when they are absolutely certain no-one else is watching.   Iain Duncan Smith’s social justice facade was the perfect cover for Osborne’s class war.  Austerity appeared to map perfectly to an insistence that those with nothing can be taught not to be poor anymore by making them poorer.  It worked, for a while.  When Osborne pulled the strings IDS danced.  But the Chancellor under-estimated one thing about Iain Duncan Smith – his incessant need for power and status.

This is a man who truly believes himself to be magnificent despite his meagre talents.  Who will happily tear his own political party in two, for the second time, to place himself as the great man of history in control of dramatic events.  Whether his obsession is Europe or social security reform makes little difference as long as he is at the centre of any chaos he creates.  Vain he may be, but he can take the criticisms, the insults and the fact he can’t hang around in a pub car park for too long these days, as long as he can convince himself that he is important.  Despite his claims to be compassionate he loved the thought of the poor being forced to scurry around like lab rats whilst he prodded and poked to see how much they – we – could take.

His grandiose schemes like the Work Programme and Universal Credit have been the props on which this fragile self-belief depended.  Without them he is just another grubby Tory, cutting disabled people’s benefits and whining about the poor.  That is not enough for Iain Duncan Smith.  That is why he resigned.  If he doesnt get to be the messiah then he doesn’t want to play anymore.  Good.  Bring on the next cunt.

  1. I would pay good money to watch him getting that car park beating.

    • Santa Hates You

Cephalus – Santa has form for this kind of thing and would love to repay this fucker in full for all the deaths and ruined lives he has caused.

    • This odious little man merely, jumped ship, now that the poo has hit the fan, trying to cover his back. Incredibly, laying claim to some Godlike status for his disastrous welfare reforms. Pointing the finger at call me Dave and Gidiot into the bargain, trying to save his own skin. JV is right – pass the sick bucket.
Tried to post similar comment on Yahoo News item, but got Access Denied – didn`t even swear. Can someone tell me what freedom of speech means, then?

    • This must be one of your best posts ever JV and sums up just what the consequences of tory policies have been for the poor and disadvantaged.
I may have been poor, but I was not disadvantaged from an educational aspect, but when you are told by councillors and job centres that it is not what you know but who you know that gets you a job, then you know that you are dealing with corruption.

I have fought them all of the way, first Tory Blair and then Tory Cameron, both camps locked me up for acting against their policies and which has now caused me to be ill with agoraphobia. I was never mentally ill the 3 times they locked me up in a mental hospital under false pretences, both labour and tory parties and because of that I would never vote for any self serving politician from any political party again ever.

  2. Nice article. Let us not forget that this creature, the epitome of hypocrisy, happily claimed DLA and Carer’s Allowance when it suited him (so did Cameron) These fuckers make me sick.

  3. What is your reaction? Are you affected by the issues raised? Share your thoughts with us – email haveyoursay@bbc.co.uk

WELL I HAVE SENT THEM MY THOUGHTS

IDS has never stated as to why so many sick and disabled people have died in going through welfare reform and we may never get that answer ?

He had no safeguards built into the DWP system he relied on the facebook blogs that i belong to so that we would deal with the personal issues of the claimants behind the scenes

we have done an excellent job but there was no way we could as a blog save every life all we could do as a blog was our best in the most difficult of circumstances 24/7 for free

I hope the new minister crabb takes note of what i will be telling him and to get some proper safeguards built into the DWP system in going forward

  4. FUCK THE TORY SCUM

Good riddance indeed. Well my friends the writing is on the wall. The Tory Scum are falling apart at the seams. Their House of Cards is finally beginning to crumble. All corrupt regimes must ultimately fail. This fucking shambles of a Government have had their day. The tide is turning and the cunts are g oing to drowned in their own vomit. Osborne must resign next, then Cameron. Their downfall has begun! Labour need to wake the fuck up now and stick the fucking boot in. It could so easily kick off right now and topple the bastards. Now is the time for widespread civil disobedience. Kick it til it fucking breaks!

    • paultheswineherd

Fuck The Tory Scum – Well said and you are right – they are doomed – I reckon that we may see Osborne go next week – his job is almost untenable now. They are a party in increasing trouble – Good!
And you are also right about Labour – they now have to quickly grow some balls and start kicking the fuckers. And the people must too!
And Johnny Void – that is a really good article that tells it exactly the way it has been and still is.

  5. George Ian Smith never, ever cared about God, or the Church Teachings. He never ever, cared for the poor either. As you say JV, and it has pointed that out too by many of others, “ids” is defending these cuts even as he resigns! It is as noted, more a personal thing, that no one seems to have told him, the cuts, the latest ones just might be changed slightly. It is also more about personal ambition, and Europe.
The Benefits Sanctions system was created by this evil satanist. There was no need for this ideology to be implemented. It was all his own doing. He must still be held accountable for this. All those needless deaths. That is his work of evil, that cannot go without justice.
He has turned the DWP upside down completely, leaving it in a state of utter chaos. Nothing this idiot ever done has been a success. Everything an unmitigated disaster. His Universal Credit has cost us billions, and still rising, still not set up, and should have been abandoned years ago.
The enormous cost of the Work Program, likewise in the tens of billions. It must always be asked of Cameron, why has this stupid guy of low standing been allowed to keep his place in Government so long?
One of the main reasons must only have been for Cameron to deflect all the attention away from himself, and let Smith take all the blame, which until recently he was very happy to do. But in keeping him has now blown up on Cameron’s face. Deservedly so!
It would be half as bad, but for the ruined lives Smith has left behind. For that, he must still answer.

    • paultheswineherd

Gordon – Well said also and yes, IDS must not be forgotten and go into exile – he will still have to be dragged kicking and screaming (whilst still claiming he is innocent for the deaths of so many – which he is not) to Court and be properly tried, prosecuted and deservedly jailed.

    • Well said Gordon, especially this bit ” for the ruined lives Smith has left behind. For that, he must still answer”

  6. Zelda Violet Star

and this is the problem. it’s not about ids, or about the tories, cos labour would be just as horrific (which is why i didn’t vote for them last year, and won’t be legitimising them by voting for them this year). this is a consensus that hates the vulnerable, the marginalised and the oppressed. there are no labour policies to reverse the cuts that those of us on benefits have suffered. labour councils continue to shrug their shoulders and implement savage cuts left right and centre. ids is a psychopath. so’s his successor. but so were his labour predecessors. fuck the lot of em; i’m not gonna grovel to those who hate me for being who i am and for the fact that i’m too sick to work, possibly ever again.

    • FUCK THE TORY SCUM

I don’t support Labour either. I just think that if they woke up, got their act together, they could be useful in destroying the Tory Scum. They’re wobbling and just need a push. As for Labour, I’ve asked them repeatedly whether they still support Benefit Sanctions and if they would scrap UC, even asked them if they would support a Citizens Basic Income, or at least raise JSA inline with the Council of Europe, but they just continue to ignore me and won’t answer any of my questions, so fuck them. All they need to do now though is do their job as the Opposition and stick the fucking boot in.

    • labour would be just as horrific Too fucking right! Fucking Labour would make IDS look like a walk in the park.

  7. Well I watched him and I thought for a reasonable part of the time he was telling the truth. Govt departments bullied into accepting and defending inexcusable cuts with his the worst because it is the biggest budget and Working age adult social security not ringfenced. I heard him say he thought the two tier system of the WRAG and support group was WRONG. So the £30 cut acceptable because nobody should really be in the WRAG. Sick and disabled folks need the security afforded by the Support Group. He is not wrong there is he? Has anyone else dared say this?

I think this interview contained some useful stuff. The way his vision has played out because of Osbourne’s tinkering has amounted to abuse on the most vulnerable. He said he had given up trying to change the system from within. It tells me you will not hear truth from a govt minister because they have to toe the party line or they are out. We should capitalise on what’s been said not have another bash. The ESA should never have been rolled out. It was said it would cause harm and was inhumane. (it does and it is ) The govt forced it to go ahead regardless. We know some of the terrible results and it was abuse.

How about we accept (with caution) the word of someone no longer gagged? When Harrington spoke out at last it got swept away. This hated man has said finally what we have always known. IDS was paid well for his silence. This last opinion comes from a man who just gave up his job. So, he will try to spin himself better but the essence of what was said is true. The WCA hasnt worked. ESA, hasn’t worked. Getting sick and disabled folks back to into work, hasn’t happened. (Despite the ever increasing expense of trying) It is abuse heaped on abuse and finally the hated man at the helm of the disaster has said it. What ever his motives we should make use of his words and thank God,that he has in some small part, admitted the truth.

    • FUCK THE TORY SCUM

He hasn’t expressed any regret for the 50,000 deaths he caused or for laughing out loud about it. He hasn’t apologized for describesing the Council of Europe as “sheer lunacy” over the illegal underpayment of UK Benefits. IDS wouldnt know the truth if it fucking bit him. The man is a brutal, narcissistic, psychopathic fucking Tyrant and I hope he dies soon.

      • FUCK THE TORY SCUM

IDS claims that people have thanked him for Sanctions! The truth? Don’t make me fucking laugh. The man is a cunt.

        • They are worse, at least with the tories you knew what to expect, but new labour lulled the electorate into a false sense of security so need to break their voting habits.

    • Santa Hates You

AL – Sorry, actions speak louder than words. I could believe him if he had not (through his welfare reform policies) murdered and wreaked so many lives. If IDS couldn’t stomach what was happening in government he had loads of opportunities to resign years ago. I think he jumped before Cameron was going to push him out after the euro referendum.

      • I don’t deny that there is much spin. Man has an ego. And a strong stomach. Yes likely he wants to shift responsibility. If he had to publish the UC fiasco as the courts once more have requested, likely he doesn’t want to carry the can for it. And yes his seat was looking dodgy. I just say listen to what he has admitted about the system now he is unfettered by govt Loyalty. Sure we all have reason to hate him. But don’t dismiss what has been given. I’d like to see the families of those who have died use his words against the system and get justice for their loved ones. Those who have lost, those who have suffered, need closure. The system was failing when it was rolled out to all. It was inhumane and abusive. The Govt had a plan to save money and money has been the driving force, over and over, not helping and not social justice. Harrington said inhumane, IDS would appear now to concur. We who have lived it know the truth. Anyone else want to weigh in on this?

    • FUCK THE TORY SCUM

IDS lied on his CV. He lied about the employment stats. He lied that the Benefits Cap had miraculously suddenly got thousands of people into work. He lied about Sanctions helping people. He’s lied that Universal Credit ison track. He lied that the Work Programme is a success. He’s done nothing BUT lie for the past 6 years. IDS is a fucking lying Tory cunt.

  8. I agree the WRAG group is just a pile of piss All that happens is you see a work advisor update your C.V and disappear into the woodwork again .Universal Jobsmatch is where you see a job ,get excited, the job evaporates then appears some 2months or so down the line, you get depressed and so the story carries on.What a system of despair.

    • something survived...

Actually people on WRAG (now also some in support group) are being made to do what people on JSA do. Sign on, go to work focused interviews and jobfairs, do jobsearch, etc.
IDS meant: Cut WRAG, put them on JSA; make everyone in the support group get reassessed for ESA, and throw off as many as possible onto JSA; throw people off JSA for being too sick and disabled. Meanwhile fuck up people’s lives with Universal Credit, and throw people on DLA/PIP onto ESA or JSA. Abolish disability, abolish disabled people, go to holiday resort. Watch the stats on disabled people dying. Laugh.

Fuck everything up, replace yourself with another vile excrescence (Crap/Crabs/Crabb) [spellchecker isn’t sure], bugger off in teflon-mode.
      Because nothing sticks to IDS.

Osborne’s ‘long term economic plan’ is a steadily sinking ship. He is a total economic twat – he could not run the economy of a bungalow, let alone a Countyr’s finances. He has not got a fucking clue.

“Bungalow”, that ought to be Osborne’s nickname, because he’s got fuck all upstairs. 😀

Fuck The Tory Scum – Yes indeed, very true! 🙂

        • something survived...

Inspector: (Pointing at the heads of Osborne, IDS, Cameron, Boris Johnson, Crapshoot….) There appear to be rather a lot of empty rooms here. I’m afraid I’m going to have to apply the bedroom tax.

  10. Santa Hates You

I almost couldn’t believe it when Iain Duncan Smith resigned on Friday. At last the Tory government is starting to implode. Nevertheless, I must take some credit for this outcome. It must have been the letter I sent to him that threatened to expose his relationship with former Nazis SS death camp guards who now live in South America. I’ll bet that’s gone in the shredder before he left his office.

I’ll now have to send similar letters to Cameron and Osbourne exposing their links with Google and Starbucks tax avoidance schemes.

  11. Of course we can celebrate his departure but the guy replacing him is as big a tosser by the looks of it and the policies of this government will not change as regards to benefit claimants. The war on the poor will continue…TORY SCUM

  12. I have witnessed the tactics of Atos consultants using leading and subjective reports to get brownie points on vulnerable people.I escorted a lady with a mental health disposition to a PIP consultation and when I remarked on the methods used I was told not to interfere.Has anyone been in this situation.DISGUSTING.

    • Yes, I have! and I have been on the receiving end as well for ESA medical. The whole system is rigged to rob the vulnerable of their rights. I often help people by coaching them beforehand on how to behave at the medicals. The system is set up to entrap and trip up the claimant in to saying something that will give them the excuse to stop benefit. Even a smile can sink the claim. I am truly disgusted by politicians of all persuasion that allow this crap to continue. A GP once said to me, “I only went through 7 years of medical training so that some self appointed idiot could tell me I don’t know when someone needs to be signed off sick”. In other words he knows someone is too ill to work because he is a real doctor and someone who has no medical knowledge apparently knows better. It would be laughable if it wasn’t so life threateningly serious. All those who think Nazism was consigned to history think again!

      • That’s true about the ATOS medicals. As soon as you enter the room they greet you with a great big smile and out-stretched hand. But if you smile back and shake their hand then that’s your claim fuck. You have to train yourself to go against all your social conditioning and just stand their staring vacant with a glum look on your face and with your hands firmly in your pockets. You need to go to acting classes before you attend these fucking ‘medicals’.

      • why didn’t GP’s go out on a march against these self appointed idiots then if he thought they were bullying the ill and disabled?

        • GP’s have a lot more to do than concentrate on one form of injustice. Whilst it would be very welcome that they protest on behalf of the sick and disabled in the UK, you will find they are under constant government interference and harassment whilst trying to do a difficult job. I have had many conversations with GP’s about this governments policies and most, but not all, are very pissed off, which is why there is a shortage of GPs entering training at this time. The Tories of course could not give a toss, because they have private health care and can always find a doctor or hospital to treat them. I know from speaking to people involved in Mental Health charities that they feel gagged from speaking out as they used to in the past because of threats from Government over funding withdrawal but many still try to help people get through the medicals and sanction regime unscathed although it is becoming more difficult every day. I know of people I advised on how to beat a sanction, who on appeal, even though they won the appeal and the judge ruled against the DWP the DWP refused to pay back the money owed. For all the faults of the last Labour Government (Red Tories) If you won an appeal the DWP had to abide by the ruling, but not under these Tory Scum. There is no true justice left in the welfare system any more, the Tories are intent on crushing the poorest and sickest people and they have no conscience, make no mistake they are just truly wicked people. I’m surprised they haven’t formed einsatzgruppen squads yet to get rid of us poor folk.

          • T.teller

I think you are giving GP’s a cop out of any form of protest and will not go down well with the people on here left to fight for themselves. They could all get together and fight for the rights and salaries of junior doctors.

The fact is Blair apparently made GP’s sign a contract which prevented them from speaking out on social issues or welfare rights when they were given a huge salary rise under Mr Blair and freedom from night visits to patients, even though A & E have been closed down in many places.

            • I was not giving the GP’s a cop out and you need to realize the GP’s I speak to are speaking “off the record”, they are hamstrung as you said from restrictive contracts. What they say to me they could not say in front of the media as none of us live in the free open society that the establishment propaganda would have us believe. I won’t tell you what my job is but believe me I am under the censors careful gaze as well. That’s why I find it so amusing when people tell me I live in a free and open society or a democracy. Some democracy! You can vote for whoever you want as long as the establishment and right wing press find the candidate acceptable, if they don’t they will smear you and lie to the public to make sure you don’t get elected. Tony Blair was a right wing infiltrator who hijacked the Labour Party and ditched all it’s socialist principles so the party was as the right wing press said at the time “electable”. Even now when the Party has tried to return to it’s roots Big Business and their right wing backers are funding “Red Tory MP” infiltrators to overthrow Corbyn, as he is a threat to the establishment. Anyone who wants social justice is an enemy of the state according to these greedy bastard Tories and their shady backers. As for people getting together in mass protest, this right has also been eroded over the years, first by smashing the trade unions, then restricting peoples right to protest with law changes. Work contracts that gag individuals. Even rented housing is subject to good behaviour clauses now. People who do still try to protest are filmed by the Police or CCTV and this is also used as intimidation to make you “tow the line”. People with families to support thus live in abject fear of doing anything which could lose them their job or place of abode and leave them destitute. The benefit sanction regime is all about instilling fear and nothing to do with getting people in to work. It’s “tow the line” “think like we tell you”, or else! My grandfather was born in 1912 and when he was alive and I was young he used to tell me what it was like being working class during the first world war and into the second. All the terrible stuff he told me about is returning and it was always the Tories plan to turn the clock back and enslave the working class once again as powerless surfs who jump every time they snap their fingers out of fear of destitution.

              • What you are describing is not an free “and open society or a democracy”; it is actually a Police State, the police technique Jacques Ellul referred to as the “dossier” system in his book the Technological Society. You will get a “criminal record”, you will lose your job, you will become homeless, you will be rendered destitute. A perfect system of control, and more-so as the populace self-police and play into it. And you can although through “credit checks” into the mix as well.

                • Absolutely correct J Ellul, and this is what is happening now. The laws of the land are bought and paid for by the rich and powerful, not just here but all over the world. Just look at this story and see just how owned the City of London police are right now. https://torrentfreak.com/man-faces-prison-sentence-for-circumventing-uk-pirate-site-blockade-16032/
They twist and pervert laws to suit themselves and the long term agenda of complete 100% control over our lives. People are worth less than the profits of the multinational and the banksters who help pull the strings and sentences are longer for minor or even non crimes as in the above story than for murder or rape. It’s like being controlled by the fictional Farengi from Star Trek. We the people are to do as they say without questioning. We are not free people just throw away garbage to be used and abused and then discarded when we are no longer capable of slaving for them. The only difference between them and the Nazi’s was that the Nazi’s would murder you after you were no longer fit to slave but our government cuts your benefit and leaves you to either take your own life or starve and freeze to death on the street. It’s hard to choose which is the more evil.

                • Error - site blocked

That’s quite scary because the ONLY way you can access a “pirate site” from the totalitarian shithole that is the UK is through a proxy!

                • Juris Prudence

Murder and rape are also economic crimes too. Murder (generally) represents a loss in taxes to the Exchequer. Rape, if you think about it, is also an economic crime and a means of social control designed to serve out masters. Incidentally, prison was originally devised as a punishment on the rationale that it you were in prison you couldn’t be earning – an economic punishment. A “criminal record” is also an economic punishment since it excludes you from earning a (decent) living. It is ALL economic. One you remove the practicalities and emotion, you can see that even crimes such as murder and rape are economic. Total control – over you!

  13. Stepping Razor Sound Plate System

The Tory fall out has been going on since the 2015 election win. The DWP will be in more of a muddle than ever, with the admin in even more chaos. 3 people make crowd in the school playground of political civil wars. Universal Credits finish date has now been put back from 2020 to 2025 !!! Dave & George don`t bite the hand that feeds you because it will bite you. The new DWP head will tow the party line & keep in the back ground trying to catch up with the last 6 years of DWP fraud. Atos & maximus will be suing the DWP for breech of contract & the Tory voters will be moaning. IDS has got out before the shit hits the fan so he is not responsible for his DWP failures.

  23. Do we have any press statements yet from the “Workie” or Zac and Sarah.
Osborne or Cameron will do, that’s if anyone can find them.

I think Osborne`s on the next flight to Acapulco, wearing a blond wig, dark glasses and carrying a suitcase stuffed with money belonging to the UKs poor.

    • paultheswineherd

anon – Yes, you could well be right there!
Interestingly, Cameron and Osborne are very quiet about all of this – almost like they may be too afraid to comment. For Cameron especially it is very strange – as he is usually has to ‘comment’ on ‘anything’ and ‘everything’ – even when it is not needed or even required. It’s to keep pig-fuck in the limelight. Talking about pig-fuck – wonder when the incriminating ‘photo’ is going to surface. It may well do now, now that IDS is gone! One can hope!

Just noticed on DPAC section (top right) above.
‘Urgent Callout’ for a protest for PMQ’s at 10AM on Wednesday March 23rd (probably erroneously put down as the 24th!) Let’s hope that it is a well supported and loud protest!

  25. Another Fine Recession

It’s only a week since he was claiming that it was the sanctions that had created the 2 million jobs, so don’t doubt how he still wants to ‘help’ more into work.
    http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/iain-duncan-smith-claims-people-7533615

Here’s an example of 40 of the ‘jobs’ they’ve ‘created’.

  26. Let’s not forget that the Tory “work programme” is only a very minor rehashing of Labour’s “flexible new deal”.

    • BOLLOCKS TO WORKFARE

the very reason I won’t vote Labour. They support the use of Sanctions same as the Tories.

      • They started the sanctions, they created more useless training schemes, low paid jobs and top paid jobs for the cronies in business and the LGBT, who were getting well paid running various charities from grants.

        • Interesting what you say about LGBT charities fly; whilst on CWP we found out that the obviously lesbian, “community work placement officer” had only ever worked as a volunteer with a LGBT charity, straight from that to arranging slave placements for Learn Direct. No other work experience whatsoever. It all fits together 😉

          • There appears to be strength in numbers and they even try to latch themselves onto the struggle that black people have suffered down the centuries, but they could never have suffered the slavery and prejudice many blacks suffered in every aspect of life.

  27. paultheswineherd

Tomorrow’s front pages: The Times: “Cameron – I blame Osborne”
Chancellor ‘messed up’ cuts PM tells colleague.
The Independent: “IDS twists the knife”
It is certainly not all over yet – the Tory insider war continues!

  28. Our best hope now is that the Conservative Party disintegrates into various groups/smaller parties of right-wing nutjobs and cunts who are utterly unelectable.

  29. keith warrilow

Wonder if he will now be claiming jobseekers allowance and how long it is before they rope him in to do unpaid work

    • Won’t be the work programme as from what I have read elsewhere on the internet this shambles is being ended. If I am correct, no new JSA referrals will be put on the WP come April.

      • It’s more than highly likely that a new scheme will be introduced, with an equally misleading title as the two current schemes.. You don’t make friends with Big Business without giving something out first, afterall..

  30. what happens with him out the way then? do we get someone worse? someone better? or someone that will carry on his work?

  31. He’s lost ~ £3K / week. He will surface again when he needs to ‘Feed’.

  32. He is a fucking SCUM BAG. As pointed out earlier this shite scum tosser could not hang around long in a pub car park.
He’s gonna go back to where he gets some protection..
    He cant manage without that.

  33. (George_you are correct. We will kick the fuck out of you just because you deserve it) Go and kiss some arse, without a bodyguard your life will be SH1T.

  34. He’s a typical bully, now claiming victimhood. He fools no-one who has a conscience or empathy for those whose lives his policies have destroyed. The rest of the Tories are circling the wagons, variously defending Gideon or defending IDS. You’d expect nothing else of course from the Nasty Party. Like starving rats in a sack, savaging each other.

And yes, Labour would have been implementing the Tories’ policies on welfare if they had got into No. 10, so the moderates within the PLP get no brownie points whatsoever.

Keep up the pressure, folks. Those Tories, they don’t like it up ’em.

  35. This is the best article you have done so far JV. It prompted me to start posting myself. What a perfect summing up of a truly vile self serving Tory politician. What has always amused me greatly is how Tories love to play the religious, righteous image to it’s utter limit whilst behaving in a truly demonic manner toward those less fortunate than themselves. I am glad to see the back of IDS but don’t forget Crabb (great name for a grasping Tory) will be just as big a bastard as IDS, these Tories never rest from their endeavours to enslave and exploit as many as they can in their greedy selfish system.

    • “The terrible immoralities are the cunning ones hiding behind masks of morality, such as exploiting people while pretending to help them.”

      – Vernon Howard

      • Exactly, how could IDS be on a mission of God, when God expects the rich to give to the poor not take from them.

        • these cunts in power have their own twisted version of ‘godliness’, which the PWE fits in with quite nicely, its all about working your own way to Heaven, attaining your own Salvation through hard work, or via Work in the Light of Knowledge. It’s essentially Luciferian, and from a Catholic perspective,Hretical. I once emailed the Pope asking that IDS be excommunicated but I never got a reply, I suspect the email was intercepted and never made it to the Holy See. At one time you couldnt be both a Catholic and a FM, same as “Man cannot serve two Masters; Mammon & God”. IDS & chums think you can.

  36. I’ve said it before and I will say it again. Duncan Shit should be arrested and charged with crimes against humanity – along with the whole of the tory party and most of the labour party

    • He should be shot in the head and then hanged by his feet outside Number 10 by the very people who were affected with his benefit balls-up. Camoron and Gideon are next to be kicked out by the people.

  37. Drunko The Clown has been bleating it was the treasury, not him, who ordered the benefit cap, bedroom tax, proposed disability cuts which have now been scrapped and won’t go ahead for now. He went along with and co-created at a stroke of his own pen the proposed disability cuts, and later decided it wasn’t for him by scuttling out the back door.

One big turd has fucked off out of a cushy job, and according to the red top rags, is going to an easy life on the backbenches where he can shout his flabby little gob off without being accountable to his six year reign of terror. All we need now is the rest of the Nazi party to fuck off as well and make this country a republic with NO government in power.

  38. It has Taken too Long For the Resignation of Ian Duncan Smith as
Secretary of State For Work and Pensions to Happen.

Too Many People have Died whilst Millionaires got Tax Breaks
like David Clapson and Karen Sherlock and the Bedroom Tax and
Infliction of Council Tax upon the Poor and Vulnerable Needs to Repealed

The Liberal Democrats have a Lot to Answer For by Collaboration with
Nation Wrecking Austerity and Labour for Failing to be an Proper Opposition
under the Previous Leader of the Opposition

The Country Needs Political Revolution of Common Sense to Have
    No Austerity

  39. Ian Duncan Smith whilst Secretary of State For Work and Pensions was
Not on a Mission from God in a Genuinely Christian Sense .

As it Says in Proverbs Chapter 14 Verse 31 of the Holy Bible
Anyone who Oppresses the Poor is Insulting God who Made Them.
To Help the Poor is to Honour God

There is a Difference between Warm Hearted Christian Compassion
and the Sadistic Cruelty of Taking from the Poor to give Tax Breaks to
    the Rich

    • There you go NoOppression, the passage the religious right wing Tories would like to forget but here it is from the book of Acts Chapter 4

All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all that there were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales and put it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to anyone who had need.

The exact opposite of all Tory thinking!!!!

  40. Ian Duncan Smith we all Know has Thankfully Resigned but the
Bedroom Tax and Infliction of Council Tax upon the Poor and Vulnerable
still Need to be Repealed just as Universal Credit Needs to be Opposed

The Underdog’s Voice Needs to be Heard

No Austerity No Nutcase Budgets Hands Off the Poor

George Osborne still Needs to Resign as Chancellor of the Exchequer

I don’t support Labour either. I just think that if they woke up, got their act together, they could be useful in destroying the Tory Scum. They’re wobbling and just need a push. As for Labour, I’ve asked them repeatedly whether they still support Benefit Sanctions and if they would scrap UC, even asked them if they would support a Citizens Basic Income, or at least raise JSA inline with the Council of Europe, but they just continue to ignore me and won’t answer any of my questions, so fuck them. All they need to do now though is do their job as the Opposition and stick the fucking boot in.

    • The problem for the Labour Party is that they have to tread carefully and not let the right wing media know what they really think about what the Tories are doing. Every time the Labour Party goes back to it’s socialist roots the right wing media and it’s rich backers go all out to scare the gullible British public with scare stories and smears about how Socialism would destroy the economy and all their other shit they come out with. Democracy clearly doesn’t work when all of the media is in the hands of the wealthy and therefore is easy to use in mass brainwashing exercises. Too few people are capable of seeing through this right wing bullshit, which is why we always end up with Governments full of pro establishment creeps who just carry on with the same old shit. It’s OK for the people visiting this blog because we all have our eyes open to what goes on and why, but the majority sadly lap up all the propaganda and absorb what they are told to believe.

Of course we can celebrate his departure but the guy replacing him is as big a tosser by the looks of it and the policies of this government will not change as regards to benefit claimants. The war on the poor will continue…TORY SCUM

  44. There was some daft commentator on the radio who said: “Iain Duncan Smith is essence a decent man. He came into politics to do the right thing and most of all to help the poor. He is very big on social justice; he even set up a Centre of Social Justice to further those aims” 😀

    • They also said that the intent of Universal Credit was to make the poor better off 😀

      • original intent, but for some reason or other it wasn’t quite padding out that way 😀

      • Universal Credit could make people better off in work if they had stuck to the original proposal, But to save money they have revised the payments down so much it’s now worse than the old system. In order for it to work it would have to A. make people truly better off in work, B. Not come with so much conditionality and threats. The trouble is that the Tories just cannot accept that working class people need to earn a good living, not just exist on an absolute pittance in crappy second rate insecure employment. Of course happy secure well paid workers would not suit the real aim which is to reduce the working class to powerless serfs ready to jump at every command. Tory Bastards!

    • Just proves you can get a job as a radio commentator whilst having no real grasp on reality.

  46. Interesting Words From Otto von Bismarck Chancellor of the German Empire
    in March 1884 AD

The Real Grievance of the worker is the Insecurity of his Existence; he is not sure that he will always have work, he is not sure that he will always be healthy, and he foresees that he will one day be old and unfit to work. If he falls into poverty, even if only through a prolonged illness, he is then completely helpless, left to his own devices, and Society does not currently recognize any Real obligation towards him beyond the usual Help for the Poor, even if he has been working all the time ever so Faithfully and diligently. The usual Help for the Poor, however, leaves a Lot to be Desired, especially in Large Cities, where it is very much Worse than in the Country

Under the Nazi Tories Liberal Democrat Stooges and Slave Labour
Colluders the UK has been in Danger of being a Country where there
was Less Help for the Poor and Vulnerable than in the German Empire

There is no sense letting this scum bag get a 1/4 million £’s a year snoozing in the european arena.
This cunt must be ‘Gone’. Forever.

  69. The sooner Sir IDS drops dead, the better it will be for all of us. He has, after all, sent approx. 8,000 sick and disabled people to an early grave, so its only fair. I am a chronically ill man with several long-term illnesses, and I hold this man personally responsible for all the heartache and life-threatening stress I have gone through in the past few years. There is a type of covert eugenics being practiced in the UK at the moment involving the sick and disabled. The tactic employed is very simple: just keep hounding the sick and disabled with capability for work questionaires until one of three things happen: 1. They give up and stop claiming. 2. They die of stress, or 3. They hang themselves. The Tories then put outcomes 2 and 3 down to the persons existing health conditions, and its job done. No one needs to know, the welfare state is relieved of the burden of the cost of these people, and pressure is taken off the NHS too! What a neat idea! But it takes an evil, devious mind to think of such a thing, and that mind belongs to Iain Duncan Smith. I have just received my fifth Capability for Work form in as many years. So, you fucking sick disabled malingering bastards, you had better wake up! They dont want to look after you anymore. They want you off their hands, and they dont care how they get you off their hands.

But IDS is a very Godly man. No doubt he has his feet under the table of that other tosser, Vincent Nicholls, the Cardinal of Westminster. What a gobshite. I emailed him three times over what IDS was doing, but I never received a reply. Nicholls is another ‘Godly man’; talking a good game at the weekends, but actually doing very little in practical terms.

I can only hope that this policy hurts all those Northern blockheads who voted Tory in 2019. You are going to reap a bitter harvest for your moment of insanity.

    • Peggy (ex- NHS nurse)

The UK has ALWAYS practiced eugenics, It has got nothing to do with Boris. Once you are no longer productive, it is not worth patching you up to squeeze some more productivity out of you you will be fobbed off, denied healthcare and left to die. The only way to obtain healthcare is to go private. The NHS is a SCAM. People are being MURDERED in NHS hospitals day-in- day-out. The most common are dehydration and morphine overdoses. The NHS exists because it is cheaper to patch productive units up than produce new ones. The NHS operates like a baked bean factory. When you are no longer productive and haven’t got the money to go private you are stuffed. And now we have presumed consent for organ donation. They will paralyse you and whip out your organs whilst you are still alive and in excruciating pain to sell you rich Chinese businessmen and Russian oligarchs. First they will remove your eyeballs then slit you from the neck and down your chest to open your chest cavity. Whilst you are ALIVE!
