George Osborne Declares War On The Working Class. Are We Fucking Up For It?

Join the rebellion and fight back against the rich at the Fuck Parade, Sat July 11th, outside Camden Town tube, from 7 or earlier for the special warm up event. Spread the word.

Do not be fooled by some pissy rise in the minimum wage that will all be clawed back in Tax Credit cuts anyway, George Osborne’s budget speech represents the most savage attack on the working class that has been seen in decades.

Just look at who is being hit – both council and low income private tenants, public sector workers, sick and disabled people, low paid families, the poorest students, lone parents, young workers and unemployed people.  At every strata of working class life those who do not have a million pound house to hand over to their children are being attacked.

From 2017 if you fall ill, and have to leave work, and you will now face desperate poverty with sickness benefits being slashed by almost a third for new claimants.  That’s people with cancer, MS, Parkinson’s Disease and other long term, debilitating and sometimes terminal conditions abandoned to live on just over £70 a week whilst struggling with the additional costs of living with illness or a disability.

Have one child too many, and this government has decided they should starve, as Child Tax Credits are demolished for larger families in the name of economic eugenics designed to stop working class people from having children.  This might seem short-sighted in a country with a falling birth rate and aging population, but the bastards have even got a plan for that – new Pensions Minister Ros Altmann wants us all to work until we’re dead.

Freezes to housing benefits, when according to one report rents are rising at 10% a year, will hit millions of private sector tenants who are already struggling with rent.  Combined with the Tax Credits massacre, this will mean families who were far from wealthy but just about maintaining some quality of life, will soon be amongst those queuing at foodbanks.  Some of them will be public sector workers whose future wage prospects have also destroyed.

Even low income home owners have not been left out.  The budget document announces that in future Support for Mortgage Interest, the scheme which pays mortage interest should someone have to leave work due to sickness or redundancy, will in future become a loan.  That’s right, you will have to borrow from the government to pay interest on the money you owe to the bank.

Others measures which have not yet been widely reported include plans to force lone parents to look for work as soon as their child turns 3 or face benefit sanctions.  Meanwhile young people, who will not benefit from the minimum wage increase, will be forced into permanent workfare between the ages of 18 and 21 if they can’t find a job, whilst the removal of Housing Benefit for this group will lead to even more over-crowded family homes and growing youth homelessness.

It is not just the very poorest who are being attacked any longer, George Osborne now has the entire working class in his sights. The stripping of away of maintenance grants for students from the lowest income families will mean kids brought up with nothing facing the propspect of huge debts should they pursue an education.  The introduction of eye-watering rents for council tenants as soon as they reach even a modest income – one earnt by many nurses or skilled manual workers, or if they are a couple bus drivers and retail workers  –  is intended to send a clear message.   George Osborne wants to put the working class back in their place and if you manage to drag yourself out of the shit and earn a few quid then he will be there to take it all away.

The only opposition to this savage government will come from us, the people affected directly.  Now there are millions of us.  Despite the fawning headlines in the compliant press, George Osborne declared a class war on us all yesterday, and one that will devastate our lives and communities.  The UK will look a very different place in five years time unless we show them that we are fucking up for the fight, and that it’s a fight we intend to win.

  1. We are doomed Johnny, being on benefits now, in the UK is like being the character that Kirk Douglas played in Lonely Are The Brave, and we all know what happened to him, run over by a juggernaut carrying a load of toilets on a dark, rain sodden night; just inches from good old Mexico. We are fucked, Johnny. We are anachronisms, part of a soon to be extinct species; the Lesser Spotted Welfare Recipient. what we need, Johnny… what we need, we need a leader, someone to rescue us from the shit storm that is rapidly heading our way. By my reckoning, Galloway is out; so who you be The One,Johnny? Will you redeem us??? will you be our Twenty First Century Watt Tyler???
    Johnny, We NEED You Goddammit!!

    • Or the hippy dude at the end of Easy Rider, or the cop at the End of Electra Glide in Blue.

        • Brutal is the only way to describe this. What a way to go and in the closing frames to boot. Best thing to do with films with these endings it to stop watching before the end, turn off the TV/DVD, walk out the cinema. But you don’t because you just keep watching they suck you in, you have been watching these characters for the last couple of hours and can’t envisage anything bad happening to them, it all looks plain sailing until the closing credits, so you don’t see it coming, then they whack you right between the eyes and through your ear-drums. Then it lingers long after it ends.

          • And all because he forgets to give this up-to-know-good dodgy dude his ticket. Unbelievable!

          • Suppose these are good endings in a cinematic sort of way because they make an impact and film viewers remember them. They are down in cinematic history as classic endings. Nothing like a happy ending to spoil the party.

          • Still fucking brutal nonetheless!

Remember The Shining? Go into your UJM account and type, repeatedly, every day, the wordd “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”. Wonder what would happen ifeveryone on Benefits did that en masse?

Fuck leaders Roger, they will only lead us into trouble. It’s leaders that got us into this mess in the first place. It’s time for good old DIOS – Do It Ourselves! If you want leaders, there’s the People’s Arsembly, TUSC or any one of the new fronts to old Trot organisations that will march you up the hill and down again, preach at you, and then grass you up to the police!

Now is the time for grass-roots, bottom up movements like Syriza, and more pertinently, Podemos.

      • March of the Orange Armbands

Yeah, but about grass-roots organisations? The SWP (Socialist Workers Party), and the The Right to Work spring to mind… 😉

        • March of the Orange Armbands

Anything with the word ‘socialist’ in in must be good, innit?

          • The word ‘Socialist’ just gives the right wing media something to attack without employing any arguments. You have to call it something like ‘People First’ – that’s not so easy to dismiss on the basis of the name alone.

            • I’m. Ex SWP, I left in disgust. Nowadays I identify with unite the resistance and people’s assembly.. To me being a socialist. Means. Being the best person you can be..

        • Hardly grass-roots organisations, but groups that are hierarchical and that will ultimately sell you out. I have similar feelings regarding the SWP (The Rape Apologists) and Right To Work (just another Trot front).

Think in terms of the IWW or SolFed.

      • BOLLOCKS TO AUSTERITY

don’t follow leaders, watch your pawking meters…

      • Yeah, on of ’em fucking orange armband cunts grassed me up to the rozzers for knicking one of their radios – cunts! Never trust a Trot!

    • A fight is only a fight if it gets any sort of result. Otherwise it is just an exchange of differing views.

  2. When will people wake up? The fiction that Labour represents the working classes is just that: fiction. Those utter pricks have decided that their election manifesto was too left wing, and some right wing commentator on TV said that “only 10% of the electorate would vote for a leftist party”. No-one pointed out that (a) they did in droves in Scotland (although the SNP is hardly left wing, they are at least, in principle, anti-austerity) and that (b) some 46% of British people did not vote. Ask them why, and you can bet it’s because they didn’t fancy Tory or Tory Lite in power. If that 46% could be attracted to the polling stations, they’d steam roller Cameron and his evil shithead crew.

Another example of letting the middle class manage working class interests: the modern Labour Party. It always ends the same way, they look after themselves and their own and screw the working class. This is historical fact. It’s how the middle class got the vote in the first place: they used fears of working class militancy to gain themselves the vote with the promise that they’ll control us. More than anything, the middle classes are our enemy. The “Daily Mail” or “Sun” reading cretins, who vote Tory because they own a Sky dish, a 4 x 4 (on credit) and a huge mortgage and think that they’re players.

They’re so thick that they don’t realise that one slip of the ladder, a car accident, or an unwanted sickness, and they’ll need the very safety net they resent so much.

And they can’t see, they’ll be next.

if only every thing was revealed in sudden flash of revelation as in the bible we’d all be ok…but the reality is that it doesn’t happen like that…it takes time bags of truth and rebuilding of trust in one’s own mind….behaviourism trains minds to go against one’s own nature, in the hope of sudden blinding flash revelations which never happen, ever…

Just seen Jeremy Corbyn’s reply to Gidiot’s Budget, highly impressed. Yes, I did pay my fee in order to promote him as Labour leader. Seeing JC and The Beast tearing into Camoron and Gidiot would surely be a sight for sore eyes. Hopefully we’ll bring down the Tories before 2020.

      • I totally agree with you, we need JC at the dispatch box laying into the front bench. IDS and Gids in particular have a look in their eye that betrays the insanity of the abuse of power.

    • On Parliament Today/Yesterday on Radio 4 can’t remember-her-name remarked: “Iain Duncan Smith punched both fists in the air and shouted ‘fantastic”” at George’s announcement of the ‘Living Wage’. Both fists, must have really been pissing his pants. Need to put a new pair on expenses now! 😀

  7. Removing the student grant is like saying we begrudge you an education. so we are going to get you to hand over more money to the bank
This TORY mantra of ” it’s not fair ( etc etc) EG it’s not fair that people get free education whilst ” hard working blah blah ”
How about it’s not fair that stinking rich corporation on Govt gravy trains should send that ” hard working tax payers money ” they get to offshore tax havens.

    • Don’t forget though, it was Labour who introduced tuition fees to begin with – and ones that were three times (at least) larger than those introduced in the rest of the EU. And it was the Lib Dems who, weeks after Clegg’s insistence that he would not let tuition fees be raised, allowed the coalition to do exactly that because they didn’t want to lose their one brief sniff of power.

This is not a party lines issue any more, this is about a privately educated political elite that has no collective experience of the real world being dictated by those with vested economic interests at the expense of everyone else.

  8. Overburdenddonkey,

Yes, You’re right, but we’ve had since 1979 of this shit. How bad does it have to get? The trouble is, and whether we like it or not, most of those most affected- as a generalisation- don’t see excellent stuff like Johnny’s posts here, or internet forums in general. There are no widespread working class newspapers, just right wing drivel like the “Mail”, “Sun” and “Daily Excess” etc. TV is overwhelmingly middle class, unless they’re doing something for others to sneer over and misrepresent, like “Benefits Street”. The head of Channel 5 should be publicly lynched.

The Unions are mostly for the middle class section of their membership and often collude to screw their poorest members. Charities so often are now vicious exploiters of the very people they claim to help.

Can it get worse? Yes, it can. But polite strikes and shepherded marches which go largely unseen in the media will get us nowhere.

No, I don’t know what the alternative is, other than “wake up” but, as you say, this doesn’t magically happen.

yep…imv a stubborn determination for change will begin to emerge…the tories have well and truly cooked their goose now, so they have….

    • sibrydionmawr

I agree with much of what you say, but it’s been a long time now that ‘culture’ has been manufactured by the ‘middle-classes’ for ‘working-class’ consumption. (See Richard Hoggart, “The Uses of Literacy” 1955). Again, it’s partially the education system that is at fault, and always has been. You only have to look at the explosion in popular publications towards the end of the 19th Century, magazines such as Titbits, aimed at a newly literate mass readership after some 20 years of compulsory education, so successful, in that it was radicalising the workers, that it was officially dumbed down by an Act of Parliament in 1902!

Yes, the mainstream business unions do screw over their membership, which is why unions like the IWW and SolFed are growing – people want a union that represents their interests, and not the interests of the union’s paid bureaucracy who often seem to have more in common with the bosses than with the membership. Neither the IWW or SolFed has a paid bureaucracy, are democratic and horizontally organised, representation by workers for workers – including those workers currently unemployed, you don’t need a sponsor, and you aren’t a second-class member with no real say as with one trade union that could be mentioned.

Neither the IWW or SolFed will lead you on polite strikes, (unless you want that!) or shepherded marches – it might start as a shepherded march organised by another organisation, but the chances are that the IWW contingent will veer off and picket somewhere where workers are being exploited – it’s your union, you, the members decide, innit?

No, people aren’t going to magically wake up, sad to say, and it will involve a huge amount of sheer hard work to even get the ball rolling, but a handful of interested and dedicated people can achieve that. The IWW in Wales has come from nowhere three years ago to having some 70 members now, each year increasing it’s membership by over 100%. Okay, still small potatoes, but having said that, we are now starting pull things together. On the recent Boycott Workfare Day of Action against B&M Bargains there were eight pickets in seven towns in Wales, including three out of the four Welsh cities. It involved a few different groups, but it all was co-ordinated by the IWW/Sgint in Wales. It was a very successful day, and our message was generally well received, with many people thanking us for taking a stand.

It is a huge mountain we face, and it is easy to just take a look at the mountain and think that it’s just too big… but then we can start to chip away at it, and though we, as individuals might not achieve very much, once we start to get others to start chipping away just a little bit we start to see the mountain getting smaller and less of a challenge.

The Tories, in all their guises will only win, if we, the majority let them win, They are deluded, and we must hold on to that and work towards the day that we.

Instead of thinking that they are doing us a disservice, look upon it that they are accidentally doing us a favour. They are cutting us off from a means of support, which, to be fair, was always vulnerable. Think back a few generations to how ordinary people managed then. It’s no accident that the state took over social security when it did, as that was exactly the time that the workers were beginning to set up their own institutions, completely owned and controlled by them. It covered things like health care, burial clubs, Friendly Societies, shops and a plethora of other institutions such as the working mens clubs, and institutes (long noted for their sexism!). It was no accident that the state took over, it didn’t want ordinary working people to realise that now they had all the loaves that they should also now have the whole damned bakery too! We can do this again, but this time beware of those bearing gifts of funding that doesn’t come directly from the members involved. That kind of money always comes with strings…

Even if you achieve nothing else, if you talk to people, change someone’s view point, (and yes, it is so often a futile exercise to engage a Daily Mail/Sun/Express reading, Channel 5 viewing cretin, let alone convince them) you achieve something positive. When starting from the low base we are at, anything positive is an achievement. Even the act of linking up with like minded people for a chat and maybe a cuppa, or something stronger every once in a while serves to keep one from total despair. Maybe you can’t afford a pub, but what’s to stop you establishing an informal brewing collective? The ingredients are quite cheap if you spread the cost, and great fun can be had consuming the product! Any kind of positive change is going to take time, and it’s pretty bloody depressing looking at those supposedly ‘leading’ us. The trick is to not let ourselves get isolated, depressed and despondent, hence the immediate need for contact with others who understand our predicament and confirm us as valid human beings in a society increasingly poisoned against us.

Commenting on blogs is great, but no substitute for seeing and meeting people face to face. It might just start as a group meeting for apparently unclear reasons, but once you start to meet is the time to formulate ideas for why you’re meeting – and that can lead you into all sorts of oppositional mischief 🙂

    • BOLLOCKS TO AUSTERITY

Maybe it will “magically happen” because the truth cannot be supressed for ever, it has to come out, and that is happening, from the Arab Spring to the Greek economic collapse, people are starting to wake up and it can only snowball. The cat is out of the bag. The world must change.

      • But it’s only any good if it’s maintained and the politicians not allowed to hijack it all. The people need to keep them on a very short leash, if not chained up!

  9. Rupert & Tamsin

Pray do tell, Mr Void, is one given a copy of the Budget Speech in advance in order to prepare a response a la Harriet Harman?

  10. The middle class in England who voted these deviant pricks in in their droves are to blame. As someone stated above ‘cos they’ve got a house and mortgage and an expensive car they like to think they’re above others and can look down on them. Hence they vote Tory. They are the modern day equivalent to the people who colluded with the Nazi’s to round up and condemn Jewish people because they thought themselves superior to them. They had been led to believe that by constant propaganda demeaning and blaming others. Sound familiar? It should because that’s exactly what the Tories have done and why these collaborators vote Tory.

Stupid easily led and brainwashed bastards.

    • overburdenddonkey

we did have a stunning and liberating indyref campaign that drew 1.6m + people together for change…they try to pour scorn over that, and is their biggest mistake, will rue the day the made it….

    • sibrydionmawr

Not all of them voting Tory were middle class – quite a few were working class, more’s the shame, and we must always remember, only 24% of the electorate voted for the vermin. They do not have a mandate in any real sense.

      • @sibrydionmawr –
“Not all of them voting Tory were middle class – quite a few were working class,”

Very true. For some time I’ve been thinking we should leave all these 19th century class divisions behind, they’re not very helpful in the 21st century.
The Precariat is what we are, and its getting more precarious all the time.

      • What would possess a working class person to vote Tory? Their whole ethos is about extending the wealth of the rich at the expense of the poor. No WC person in possession of their full faculties would vote Tory. Sadly there seems to be a lot of those types around.

        • Another Fine Mess

Because we’re more intelligent than most, we can see most of, or at least enough of, the bigger picture without getting lost in the details. Amazingly (or perhaps not) almost no politicians can do this.

While we’re thinking of fracking, they think it’s good economic practice to re-train a geology graduate as an unpaid/paid shelf-stacker, even though we already have an over-supply of shelf-stackers. It’s madness.

And they’re still at it, blaming the low paid because of their skills and productivity, even if you could improve the productivity of shelf-stackers and litter pickers then we’d just need fewer of them.

Many people after having lost their job or car or house or all three, are in denial, they just think that they should’ve just worked a bit harder, which is the same as giving themselves a pay cut.

It’s worse than pointless having us all ’employed’ cutting each others hair and tying each others shoe laces, the UK’s economically doomed until people think differently. I think we’re at least 2 or 3 years ahead of most, there’re examples of this on this site.

….And loads of other things. 🙂

          • University Lecturer

And neither do we have a surfeit of vacancies of for geology graduates. And besides very few graduates obtain employment in the subject area they have studied.

Going to uni to dick around for 3 years at (working-class) taxpayers expense because traditionally it is working-class parents who fund middle-class kids education – an opportunity that their own kids are dentists: “Oh, but we need doctors, dentists, lawyers”… and other high-paid professions. But the working-class are denied these opportunities; they are elbowed out by the sharp-elbowed middle-classes. You have to be beyond exceptional to succeed if you hail from the middle-classes but merely average will do if you are working class

And you don’t have to be a genius to become, say a doctor or a lawyer etc, The most stupidest people at university are in the Law faculty, followed by the School of Medicine. It is all just ‘rote learning’, pick it up as you go along. Just like the movie Gattaca these lucrative opportunities are denied to the working class. Working class kids at uni are left with the ‘hard’ mathematically under-pinned subjects. You won’t find many Ruperts or Penelopes studying, say, Electrical Engineering. Subjects which are so notorious difficult they have an overall fail rate of 70-80% at first year.

Back to Cait Reilly. But it is a tricky one. But, say you have two jobseekers. One is from a working-class background, a non-graduate. And the other is from a middle-class background and has spent the past three years dicking around at university studying a ‘soft’ subject, say geology, are you saying that the working-class job seeker should be sent on mwa/cwp i.e. workfare to stack shelves with all the attendant pitfalls, e.g. sanctions, destitution, and that the middle-class graduate should somehow be ‘immune’? You are either signing-on or you are not signing on. Your social standing should count for jack-shit. If the job centre is going to treat one jobseekers as shit it should be treating all jobseekers as shit: this is the only way it can be seen to be ‘fair’. And is about the only positive thing that can be said in the job centre. Why the hue and cry when they send a redundant ‘professional’ to mandatory work activity, but if they come from a deprived background it is somehow OK? We do not need a two-tier welfare system whereby the middle-classes are given a smooth path and the working-class are sanctioned into an early grave.

          • Another Fine Mess

            University Lecturer

I’m only thinking economically and/or productively and what’s best for the country and the individual of course, rich, poor, posh, class, sex, colour, nationality – all nowt to do with it. I think people are mostly equal where ever they come from. If a geology graduate wants to work in retail that’s fine with me but I think they should have tried harder to get her something more suitable, maybe voluntary work in a muesum or something. 🙂

I can’t imagine someone becoming a doctor or lawyer if they didn’t want to or weren’t interested. I don’t like rote learning myself I prefer to get an understanding of the subject first, it massively reduces the amount of rote learning for me. I still don’t know my times tables!

            a ‘soft’ subject, say geology
Geology can’t be a soft subject, it’s about the most important subject, we’re always digging or drilling looking for something useful and the Americans have sent at least one geologist all the way to the Moon. They also sent one astronomer, he’s still there.

Electrical Engineering. Subjects which are so notorious difficult they have an overall fail rate of 70-80% at first year.

It’s an easy subject for me. The trick was probably not to start from there, I started fiddling with dangerous things at about 12 and lethal things about 14, with the help of a mate our chemical and electrical experiments in a garden shed were quite advanced compared with what we were doing in school, a least we though so, and survived.

  11. Tax credits the bribe the working class could not resist.

    The backlash begins
Paul Johnson says those out of work are being protected “at the expense” of those in work.

Gordon Brown’s monolithic hardworking families welfare vault jacked-up over the heads of the poor, when the time was right the political supports were to be removed making the welfare vault crash to the ground crushing the poor and shattering the welfare vault for all.

  15. BOLLOCKS TO AUSTERITY

Tory cunts are going to bring back fox hunting too. Sick bastards. Tories are pure evil. They have a medieval mentality. The robber Barons persecuting the peasants. Time for a Revolt.

    • Fox hunting never went away, Labour just limited the number of dogs you could use. They knew a total ban would mess with their own vote since, after all, they’re just Tories under a different banner now.

      • So true Trev. Some hunts have been found breeding fox cubs in captivity and releasing them for hunting with dogs.

Hunting with dogs never stopped in this country. Since the ban, my local hunt (The Cuntwick Farmers) have boasted about every fox their marauding dogs have killed “by accident”.

The ban needs to stay, it needs extending and most of all it needs policing.

  16. The vast majority of those on benefits need them, and do not want to be on them. The minority of scroungers are unfortunately used as the model by which all others are judged. It’s the straw man technique that the media and politicians love to use so much. Cut child tax credits to stop chavs breeding for welfare, ignoring that these examples are rare and outnumbered several times to one by cases of single parents – who may not always have been single parents – suddenly finding themselves redundant, possibly even widowed, with a family they were once able to support but no longer have the funds to do so. The middle classes have been manipulated into thinking the working class are their opposition, not realising how precarious their own situation is. Similarly though, the working classes have been conditioned to attack the middle classes even though these middle classes were in many cases themselves working class and, as Johnny phrased it, pulled themselves out of the shit. It’s just that it happened so long ago that they now take it for granted. The working and middle classes shouldn’t be fighting each other, they should be teaming up to fight the elite who prevent us all from excelling, but divide and conquer is always employed to make sure the real enemies are left moreorless untouched.

    • I completely agree, divide and conquer policies have worked amazingly well. The extent of the social divides in this country, the ignorance, fear and hatred on both sides, concerns me more than anything else. We’re both entrenching and taking pot shots at each other while the elite sit back, sip their champagne, and laugh. The tories are the party of divisions. They don’t seem to realise how necessary social cohesion is to us all. Ultimately those divides will erupt into all out class war, and everyone will lose. Especially if there are any outside pressures, such as, oh I don’t know, climate change for instance.

    Raining | July 9, 2015 at 4:45 pm | Reply

  19. Margaret Thatcher Was One Of The Most Evil Women of the 20th Century

    http://www.dystopiaearth.com/?p=1998

    by Diogenes of Sinope

Here is a list of her crimes:

    1. She supported the retention of capital punishment
    2. She destroyed the country’s manufacturing industry
    3. She voted against the relaxation of divorce laws
    4. She abolished free milk for schoolchildren (“Margaret Thatcher, Milk Snatcher”)
    5. She supported more freedom for business (and look how that turned out)
    6. She gained support from the National Front in the 1979 election by pandering to the fears of immigration
    7. She gerrymandered local authorities by forcing through council house sales, at the same time preventing councils from spending the money they got for selling houses on building new houses (spending on social housing dropped by 67% in her premiership)
    8. She was responsible for 3.6 million unemployed – the highest figure and the highest proportion of the workforce in history and three times the previous government. Massaging of the figures means that the figure was closer to 5 million
    9. She ignored intelligence about Argentinian preparations for the invasion of the Falkland Islands and scrapped the only Royal Navy presence in the islands
    10. The poll tax
    11. She presided over the closure of 150 coal mines; we are now crippled by the cost of energy, having to import expensive coal from abroad
    12. She compared her “fight” against the miners to the Falklands War
    13. She privatised state monopolies and created the corporate greed culture that we’ve been railing against for the last 5 years
    14. She introduced the gradual privatisation of the NHS
    15. She introduced financial deregulation in a way that turned city institutions into avaricious money pits
    16. She pioneered the unfailing adoration and unquestioning support of the USA
    17. She allowed the US to place nuclear missiles on UK soil, under US control
    18. Section 28
    19. She opposed anti-apartheid sanctions against South Africa and described Nelson Mandela as “that grubby little terrorist”
    20. She support the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia and sent the SAS to train their soldiers
    21. She allowed the US to bomb Libya in 1986, against the wishes of more than 2/3 of the population
    22. She opposed the reunification of Germany
    23. She invented Quangos
    24. She increased VAT from 8% to 17.5%
    25. She had the lowest approval rating of any post-war Prime Minister
    26. Her post-PM job? Consultant to Philip Morris tobacco at $250,000 a year, plus $50,000 per speech
    27. The Al Yamamah contract
    28. She opposed the indictment of Chile’s General Pinochet
    29. Social unrest under her leadership was higher than at any time since the General Strike
    30. She presided over interest rates increasing to 15%
    31. BSE
    32. She presided over 2 million manufacturing job losses in the 79-81 recession
    33. She opposed the inclusion of Eire in the Northern Ireland peace process
    34. She supported sanctions-busting arms deals with South Africa
    35. Cecil Parkinson, Alan Clark, David Mellor, Jeffrey Archer, Jonathan Aitkin
    36. Crime rates doubled under Thatcher
    37. Black Wednesday – Britain withdraws from the ERM and the pound is devalued. Cost to Britain – £3.5 billion; profit for George Soros – £1 billion
    38. Poverty doubled while she opposed a minimum wage
    39. She privatised public services, claiming at the time it would increase public ownership. Most are now owned either by foreign governments (EDF) or major investment houses. The profits don’t now accrue to the taxpayer, but to foreign or institutional shareholders.
    40. She cut 75% of funding to museums, galleries and other sources of education
    41. In the Thatcher years the top 10% of earners received almost 50% of the tax remissions
    42. 21.9% inflation
    43. Covered up the Hillsborough disaster to protect the police

I will relish the day this evil cunt is brought down, diarrhoea is heriditary, it runs in their genes.

IAIN DUNCAN SMITH IS A MURDERER, i do not hold back my accusation because i am right and you also want to know the truth……………………..

You have a right. The DWP are nothing more than public servants who now masquerade as judge, jury and executioner.

Withholding information that will expose them as cold callous killers should be quite easy, the more pressure we apply, the more they will wince.

Smith imagines himself as some kind of a figurehead at his department, yet all his staff think him the most despicable bastard who ever walked this earth. He doesn’t have bodyguards to protect him from autograph hunters, he has a deep fear that an attempt will be made on his life………………..

Can you all remember when the evil Mcvey had the word “murderer” daubed on a public building?

This really irked the tories because the truth really hurts, Mcvey soon became history……………….

A few more public daubs would absolutely sicken Smith because he thinks he has got away scot free, we should show him he hasn’t.

        • GEOFF REYNOLDS

Malaysian police have raided the HQ of a state-controlled investment fund at the centre of a major corruption scandal engulfing the country’s embattled prime minister, Najib Razak.

Razak is facing mounting calls to resign after a Wall Street Journal report last week about debt-laden state fund 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) alleged that nearly $700m (£456m) went into his bank accounts.

It was the first time Najib has been directly implicated in the investigation into 1MDB, which is weighed down by an estimated $11bn of debt. The prime minister launched the fund in 2009 and still chairs its advisory board.

for long enough now they’ve been trying to convince us via the WCA that sickness and disability is an attitude problem, this is behaviourism..so rather than the subject of behaviourism being a ‘petty argument’, it is a very serious argument that must be had…
and so i don’t see that re-education centres would come as any big surprise, certainly they were of no surprise to me…
so to cut the crap, add clarity, i came up with the phrase ‘reliable supplies of vitality giving vitals of life for all..’ which as our benefits are 40%, (ESC COE, jan 2014), below what they ought to be and there’s a campaign for EUBI..put the 3 together one has solved the problem…and everything can then be measured via this standard instrument… http://basicincome2013.eu/en/index.html

does anyone know what this is ??

    • BOLLOCKS TO AUSTERITY

Dunno, sounds like some bullshit to try catch you out. Make sure you take plenty jobsearch evidence with you. Print out emails if necessary. If they try imposing 35 hour weekly jobsearch tell them It’s illegal unless youre on Supervised JSA Pilot scheme or Universal Credit, otherwise it does not apply to normal JSA. If they Sanction you immediately request an Appeal form & an application for Hardship, alsoinform HB right away that you have been Sanctioned otherwise HB will automatically stop. Good luck.

    • A quarterly review of your jsa/jobsearch basically a prolonged signing on episode/interrogation.

    • Yeah, bring a wheelbarrow full of ‘evidence’ with you. And not just for the past fortnight the one before that. Sound like one them them RAD* (Raise a Doubt) stitch-up interrogations that go on for two hours.

    “Tax credit changes

From April 2016, anyone earning more than £3,850 a year will have their Working Tax Credit reduced more steeply. Previously they could earn up to £6,420.”

My read of that statement is if earning £6.4K dont go past Go, go straight to jail – tapering up to the full Tax Credit the closer one gets to earning just £3.8K

Everyone remember about the Tax Credit changes coming in April 2016? You know the one where if you’re a part-timer its bend over here I come again from the Nasti ConParty?

Well this is the icing on the cake and the reasoning behind it – they are almost halving what can be claimed on Tax Credits, which is why they’ll be insisting on a increase in hours.

Question: As there will be at least hundreds of thousands of people affected [I suspect a lot lot more – this lot don’t do things by halves do they?] Where are these Jobs going to magically come from?

    • Where are these Jobs going to magically come from?

Gideon is banking on working class aspiration to win the day, remember that bike in the shop window you dreamed of owning but could never afford even after delivering thousands of newspapers.

        • Many or even most people will try to add in (more) part-time jobs/hours even at a risk to their health/wellbeing/family life rather than lose their home/not be able to send their children to school & etc. As they’re being ordered to – facing that & little or no other choice. So even more than now it will be try to tread water/swim if possible – or sink.

  29. GEOFF REYNOLDS

“RE-INTRODUCTION OF DEATH CARTS TO BE ANNOUNCED IN NORTHERN POWERHOUSE AREAS”

Once again, those immortal words, “Bring out your dead”, will be heard on the streets of thriving Northern cities…………….

A DWP spokesman said the collections would be made on a fortnightly basis and asked residents to keep bodies refrigerated before placing them on the cart to avoid unpleasant smells and vermin.

Any family wanting to dispose of more than one body must make a formal request to the DWP, in order that there is sufficient space on the cart on that particular day of collection.

The bodies of the deceased must not be placed in direct sunlight or near the entrance to food banks for obvious hygiene reasons.

Designated brown field sites have been allocated to dispose of the corpses, some will go to landfill but others will be cremated and the contents placed in hour glasses.
This will ensure that many will still work after they have died…….

Alternative days of metal collection, wheelchairs, walking aids, spectacles and gold tooth fillings, will be advised on a day to day basis.

The Department of Works and Pensions have stressed that many Death Cart positions are now available, workfare applicants will be considered wherever necessary. Sunday working will be mandatory and all applicants must provide their own overalls and transport costs.

A Department of Transport official claimed that the Tory governments initiative to see the infrastructure of the North was now reaching fruition, although key routes of the Death Cart could cause minor delays on housing estates that abused the free service.

Scent bottles and window blinds will be issued to those not affected, mainly those in top income brackets and politicians…………………..

  30. Thoroughly enjoyed reading this article and everyone’s posts. I think what they are doing to these young people is awful. Over the past week I have saw various adverts for “careers” in the Army and the RAF. Now, if someone actually wants to join these services good luck to them. I just think that these adverts are targeted at the young to join up as there seems no alternative for them. Bear in mind that the UK Government want to bomb Syria and who knows where else in the future – are these young people to become new fodder to go out and fight for a Government who would run a mile from a playground fight! Also, they could come back with serious wounds, unable to work and what support would they receive? It is a wonder they have re-introduced national conscription – but perhaps that is next on their Agenda. Think I would be better off moving to North Korea!

The showers are not mandatory but a DWP spokesman said that not participating could effect a persons benefit claim and sanctions may be imposed.

Firstly, former Independent Living Fund participants will be called, followed by those from the Support Group and finally, those claiming ESA.

Transport will be arranged by Jobcentre Plus and toiletries and towels, courtesy of Maximus healthcare………………….

  33. James Gasekll

Well said Johnny. The 2015 Budget = More poverty, more oppression and more hopelessness for working class people. Osborne’s living wage is simply a measure introduced to justify the massive cuts in Tax Credits. The figure quoted for Osborne’s living wage is £9 a hour in 2020 – (it’s probably where the minimum wage would have be anyway at that point) is simply a confidence trick. The real living wage level is set much higher than the minimum wage. The Tories must think the British people are complete muppets to spin this out as some kind of pay rise. Sadly, many people are going to get really hurt by this budget. Also the most sickening sight this year was Duncan Smith’s cheering in the House of Commons during the Budget. That guy makes me sick!

    • sibrydionmawr

New Economics Foundation calculates that a living wage would need to be £11.65 an hour to offset for the loss of top-up benefits. And that’s when the National Living Wage comes in next year, and not in 2020. It’s also only the rate for a single person. A single parent of two children would need to be on £14 an hour.

Yes, a lot of people will get hurt by all this.

    • They even co-opted the slogan “Britain deserves a pay rise” & recycled it as their own, just adding “and we are giving them one” (make of it what you will).

As though conning huge numbers of people who are following your every move were as simple as using a few catchy & familiar phrases and saying “look over here – forget about the assault & battery that’s happening over there, you don’t need to worry about that any more… “

  34. Just afraid for these young people Geoff – the adverts make it look like it is a great career – whilst the services can be a great career for some – entering with qualifications – the downside is never pointed out. Grandfather killed in 1st World War aged 24 (father of two young kids). Word War 2 – Father returned – according to wife (not the same person). Don’t trust this government and think that their tactics and budget “stink to the high heavens”! Put the pension age back to what it was and there will be plenty of jobs for young people.

    • rather-die-than-vote-tory

Totally agree Donna about war and the waste of life. I can remember this war mongering country during the Falkland war & people spurred on by the Sun comic. I remember banners & signs with ‘kill an argie’ in red paint, flying off council estates balconies. Thatcher was flying high during all this crap & it did win her another term in power. As for a career to go and die in the forces, only recently Ponce Harry, one of the most parasitic & biggest scrounging families this country has ever known suggested bringing back National Service. Has you say bring retirement age down & give the young en’s a real proper job.

    • sibrydionmawr

Why do you think the advertising is aimed predominantly at young men under 25? Why do you think that much advertising takes place in areas where the local economy is depressed? Why was it that many of the Scottish regiments in the British Army came into being after the Highland Clearances, and just as England was launching it’s colonial ambitions? Ditto Irish regiments of the British Army during the 1840s and later.

As far as young people are concerned, especially the age group targeted by military recruitment, death is optional, something that won’t happen to them etc, etc. It might offer good training and skills, but the bottom line is that as a member of the military, you are a hired killer, and more than that, could, at some point be ordered to repress your own people if it ever came to pass that the police couldn’t cope.

Remember, the police partly came into being to be a thin blue line to be used against the people, rather than a thin red line, prompted by events such as the Peterloo Massacre in 1819:

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peterloo_Massacre

Not too difficult to imagine something similar happening today.

Aaron Lane: Talented musician with mental health problems took his own life after DWP ruled him fit to work

Aaron took his own life after he lost his Employment and Support Allowance – his parents believe he was worried his benefits would be stopped entirely

Eugene Henderson Despite being treated for psychosis Aaron Lane was told that he was fit for work by the Department for Work and Pensions.
Tragic: Aaron had previously won a place at the Royal Academy of Music

A talented musician battling mental health problems took his own life after he was ruled fit to work.

Aaron Lane, who won a place at the prestigious Royal Academy of Music in London in his 20s, suffered psychosis and had been receiving Employment and Support Allowance

But he was recently ruled fit to work under the Tory Government’s crippling benefits changes.

Instead Aaron, who lived alone in a flat, was surviving on Jobseeker’s Allowance.

His parents say he feared he would lose all of his benefits and be left penniless.

After they raised concerns, police forced entry to his home in Newark, Lincs, and found him dead aged 31.

It is understood he had taken his own life.

Even if there are those who find it hard to accept that the system has been deliberately set up to lead to these outcomes – this is what’s happening as a consequence of gvt./DWP policies & their approach to their ‘customers’ (the unemployed). As Geoff is saying, there has to be accountability and a day of reckoning (for IBS et al) at some point. No point saying “or what kind of a society are we?” as that question’s already been answered.

Oh God, It’s started already. Received a letter inviting me to attend some poxy course about the psychology of positive thinking run by some unqualified jumped up employment adviser at a private company paid for by the taxpayer. It takes the fucking piss. Thankfully at this stage It’s not mandatory, so they can go fuck themselves.

    • Jobcentre Spy

Doe the letter say anything about: “may affect your benefits”. Not all of the OPPORTUNITIES the job centre refers you to are ‘mandatory’ as in non-attendance “may affect your benefits. The jobcentre will, however, give the impression that every OPPORTUNITY is mandatory. There are two variants on the “you have been referred to the following OPPORTUNITY” letters. One mentions that “your benefit many be affected”; the other doesn’t.

      • BOLLOCKS TO AUSTERITY

No, it doesnt say “your Benefits may be affected”. It’s come from the company providing the so-called course, and my involvement with them is not mandatory. I was arm-twisted into using their services in the first place by an overbearing & bullying JCP Adviser & simply agreed to shut her up & get her off my back. It’s a sort of Jobclub type project for over 50s, à pile of shit.

I still went to work even when both my arms and legs feel off.
      =========================================================
Good evening Mr Smith. Do you think Mr Ian Duncan Smith’s department will want to help you if you cannot work? There are people who don’t want jobs. that is true but please do not assume everyone is a scrounger. The Tories would gas those they regard as Untermenchen and to fit into that category even if you have worked all your life you will become superfluous if you do not have the financial means to survive. We are not human beings to them, we are economic units to these supercilious politicians and the financiers they serve. They want the ill and disabled dead but they are too wise to say it.

    • dirt under their feet

Arms and legs dont just fall off. Mr Smith is here just amusing himself with a wind up, and in so doing resembles the easily spotted oozlem bird – disappearing up his own orifice. Seems not to have lost his fingers though, even while not managing to cope with a capital letter or spell ‘fell’.

Instead of making fun of people being pushed into desperate situations, many of whom are working, for inadequate wages or forced to work for none, or are genuinely too unwell, and often sanctioned for it; he should be firstly very ashamed, and secondly focusing more on issues like –

      Working tax credits abolished
When in April 2016 the threshold for receiving working tax credits is lowered, as it can only be claimed for 16 hours or more, and that at the minimum wage is more than the threshold, then nobody in employment will any more be able to claim working tax credits.

Very wealthy people given billions for owning our country
Much of our land and our businesses are owned by very wealthy people of other nationalities living in other countries, profiting from the infrastructure paid for by us, along with the orchestration of reduced wages and employment rights for everyone else here. We’re told if we tax these ‘wealth creators’ more they’ll leave, when many of them aren’t here anyway.

Then what about the case of the sort of scrounger who claims over £1 m for land he has not worked for, but obtained from marrying into the family owners. This government having fought to keep land subsidies, paid for per acre of ownership. This for a public employee raking in every benefit possible, who has restricted the wage rises of other public employees to 1%, while cutting everyone’s in-poor-(and poorer)-wage working benefits.

So maybe this Mr Smith should save having a jest while others perish and live in increasing fear and despair, and put his efforts into being appalled at the excuse for a human being that is the other Smith – IDS – a number-one benefit scrounger, working to take away from you anything you’ve got and give it to – people like himself, and his masters.

I was standing in a store the other day, and the lady behind me was telling someone else that she was now working fifty hours a week, and her friend was now working sixty hours a week. ‘It’s too much’, she was saying, and too right. This so that they can just about hang on.

While some Mr Smith can have a laugh at all of those poor people getting poorer.

  52. As we lord it up on €60 a WEEK let us spare a thought for the poor Greeks having to struggle by on €60 per DAY per PERSON per ACCOUNT per CARD.

  54. GEOFF REYNOLDS

“DWP WITHHOLDING PAYMENTS AS A FORM OF MISGUIDED TORTURE”

We’ve become so used to the term ‘benefits’, we can’t see how misleading and dangerous it is. It’s misleading because in any other context, ‘benefit’ means advantage or profit; something extra; a special payment or gift, perhaps to reward good behaviour. It’s dangerous because when we frame social securities in this way, we move away from seeing them as basic rights and start talking about them as bounteous rewards. And consequently, we have paved the well-trodden path for discussions about incentives, who deserves what and who doesn’t.

Unlike the term ‘benefits’ would have people believe, social security is not an extra payment or reward. It just about plugs the gaps between low wages and high rents; between fragile spouts of precarious labour driven by zero hours contracts and flimsy freelance culture; between times of stability when, for indefinite periods, illnesses that are impossible to predict or manage take hold of your life.

    http://www.independent.co.uk/voices/comment/budget-2015-why-do-we-call-social-security-payments-benefits-they-are-a-right-not-a-reward-10371354.html

Let’s start calling benefits what they truly are: social insurance. We’re already halfway there. When we pay into the social security system, we call it ‘national insurance’. So when we take out, why aren’t we calling it insurance payout?

  55. The Labour Party – now completely useless http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/child-tax-credits-labour-backs-6051366#ICID=sharebar_twitter it seems their plan to win the next election is for people to stagger absent-mindedly into the polling station unable to remember which party they were going to vote for but safe in the knowledge it doesn’t matter because they are all the bloody same.

      • Labour party are a joke. Their attitude is they will do anything to gain power. If that means becoming a carbon copy of the Tories then that’s what they’ll do. Elections are won and lost in England in the UK. That’s where it’s decided which is one of the reasons we here in Scotland want independence. It doesn’t matter what we do up here. we end up saddled with the tories even though no one votes for them.

So to get back to Labour; they see they lost the vote because they lost the heart and minds of the largely middle class voters in England. These were the types that Tony Bliar tried to woo to the Labour cause when he moved the party much further to the right in the political spectrum.

So that’s why they do what they do. Unfortunately in their selfish ambitions to do anything to gain power, they wind up alienating nearly all their traditional supporters, by adopting a far more right wing approach.

As for the unemployed; well they’re not interested in representing us at all. As was made abundantly clear by airhead Rachel Reeves.

All of the above was the reasoning behind Labour’s demolition in Scotland. Their complete and utter betrayal and contempt for real working class people shone through and suddenly they’re on the same page as the Tories with one solitary MP. And it should have been none.

Now they have the utter audacity and front to try and shift the blame on to the person who initially reported the accident BBC but Police State Scotland couldn’t be arsed to follow up.

The Chief Constable can squirm all he likes but the buck stops at his desk; his postion is now untenable. Sir Stephen House is directly responsible for this outrage which has shocked the people of Scotland. And so is First Minister Nicola Sturgeon’s position also untenable for having the cheek to try and defend the actions, or rather inactions of this utterly useless abomination of an organisation.

Kind of looks like the car *may* have been deliberately driven off the road and headed towards the clearing just missing the trees.
Any other explanation for that trajectory. It does say in the article that it was close to the Bannockburn Interchange. Would it have been possible to have mistook this woodland for the exit from the motorway? Especially if you had driven this road before. The car could have been shunted but it would have been a more sideways movement. The car could have skidded or had a blow-out. It must have been in lane 1 if it was intending exiting the motorway. It would have had to have been in lane 1 for this to happen. Not speculating, but couple returning from a day out. One has 3 kids, the other 2. Late at night so not much other traffic on the road. Weather/road conditions? Mechanical failure/driver error? A deliberate act? Take your pick.

                • Accident Investigator

Obviously whoever the driver was, doesn’t seem to say could have been speeding. And this particular motorway does seem to be particularly popular for speed traps. But I am sure there are a few of us who have bombed along motorways at well over twice the speed limit and managed to stay on the road. In any case you wouldn’t be bombing along in lane 1 anyway. Might rear end a cop car puttering along waiting to be overtaken by a speeder. There must be a good reason for a car plunging off a motorway like this,

935,000 ‘jobs’ on UJ. – LOL.
Sanctions can hardly be any tougher, so how are they going to force people to take up these non-existing jobs.

  58. OT: Privtising the Dole

And so It comes to pass as I predicted:

“Speaking to the Telegraph, the Work and Pensions Secretary says young people should be encouraged to save into flexible accounts, from which they can then draw out money at times of sickness or unemployment.

The model is very similar to unemployment insurance schemes in the United States, but would work more like systems that exist in the far East – such as ‘Fortune Accounts’ in Singapore.”

    Only Problems?

    1. Trust the city that caused the Financial Crash – we all know how that ended.
    2. Trust the city paying out hand over fist for miss sold products – we all know how thats going
    3. Trust the city which operates under only one rule – make money anyway/how etc from others, upto and including over dead bodies – we all know how that will end.

So, next question is who/how are gov bills going to be paid if no money is being made off youngsters? Oops thats a big hole in the accounts there.

This will fail/fall apart … Badly.

    • Oh Forgot to mention – where is Maximous in all this I wonder….

……………….AND LOOK WHO IS ON THE SIDELINES LOOKING TO PROSPER………

Memorandum submitted by UnumProvident (EDP 03)

        EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

UnumProvident has been operating in the UK for over 30 years, and is the UK’s leading provider of income protection insurance. At the end of 2001 in the UK alone, it protected over 737,000 lives and paid benefits to people with disabilities totalling some £116 million. As such, it brings a unique perspective to assist the Committee in its inquiry.

UnumProvident believes that the current welfare, tax and benefits systems can make it difficult for disabled people to return to work. They are overly complex, can provide strong disincentives for disabled people to look for work, for example in terms of structure, payment criteria and terminology, and are in need of radical reform.

It is UnumProvident’s contention, and our commercial experience, that acquiring or developing a disability does not necessarily make you incapable of work. In our experience, most disabled people are capable of some work, would like to work and crucially, have an expectation that they will return to work in some capacity.

    13. UnumProvident is actively engaged with the Government, policy-makers and large employers to share best practice and to see where our systems and approaches might be applied more widely. We are currently working with the Department of Work and Pensions on this, and have had discussions with officials in HM Treasury and the Prime Minister’s office. We have met with officials to help better understand the nature of the IB casebook, and to discuss how our commercial experience and expertise might be more widely applied. In addition, we will shortly be supporting the National Employment Panel in its work on the New Deal for Disabled People through a secondment of one of our senior managers.

“THIS WAS WRITTEN BY UNUM IN 2002, YET MIRRORS WHAT WAS SAID IN OSBORNES HOLOCAUST BUDGET”

    25. UnumProvident would propose that IB should be retained for those disabled people who are genuinely incapable of undertaking any work whatsoever. The remainder should be transferred to a form of Job Seekers Allowance (JSA) which is sufficiently flexible to recognise that they have limited capacity to work. JSA claimants are required to look for work, and indeed are supported in that process by JCP. This simple administrative move sets the expectation of a return to work both for the individual and also for potential employers

  64. BOLLOCKS TO AUSTERITY

How can it be helpful for a person with no Medical/Psychology qualifications to simply tell another person who has a diagnosed mental Disorder to think more positively?

    • It was suggested to me at my last WFI interview to shop locally rather than use Tesco online so that I could ‘socialise’ more.

Tesco online is brilliant for me, as it’s free delivery, and if the stuff is crap you can complain and get a refund (free phone) rather than traipse back to the store, which for me would mean a £6 2-hour bus trip.

If I shopped locally, that would mean £6 on bus fares alone, plus having to carry heavy stuff, which compounds my arthritis.

The JCP staff obviously have access to my Atos paperwork. What right do they have to see this? What right do they have to suggest to me what to do without a ha’p’orth of medical qualifications?

      • Unexpected Item in the Bagging Area

How the fuck is going shopping ‘socialising’, especially if you use the self-scan checkout.

And with on-line you don’t have those creepy security guards and cameras following you around.

Although sometimes , just for a laugh, and even though I have no intention of shop-lifting or shopping for that matter I sometimes go for a wander round my local Tesco ‘acting suspiciously’, so they will watch you. But they don’t know if you are a decoy or not. We should all do it. Interestingly, if you look over their shoulder when they are stood at that ‘podium’ thing which you can do in some shops because of the way it is positioned (my local Asda) you see that they can follow you round every nook and cranny in the store. They even watch you leaving the store right out into the car park. They can also see what you are putting through the self-scan checkout. So obviously, the ‘back-room’ security can see this too.

There are remarkably few people in this country who don’t want to work. My own claimants ranged from joiners and cleaners to neurobiologists and architects and beyond: of the thousands of people I met within various capacities in the job centre, not one struck me as being proactively idle.
To label such a diverse group of individuals as parasites is to dehumanise millions of our own citizens with a repulsive ignorance.
Of course, anecdotal evidence will only take any argument so far. There exists no coherent evidence to support a “culture of worklessness”. Collating research carried out by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation and TUC, The Guardian reported that roughly 80 per cent of JSA claimants are off benefits and into work before becoming “long-term” unemployed.
Less than one per cent of all UK households had two generations of the same family who had never worked.
Welfare cuts affect people’s lives in the worst possible way, with direct links to depression, anxiety, malnutrition and homelessness.

    • I am waiting for the twits to try that with a relative of mine… I am just waiting… lets see if I can list the ways: Harrassment [not medically qualified, nor the practioner of choice, or given permission by you the patient] also report to General Medical Council for falsly acting as a medical practioner expert in the field. “SOMEBODY HAD TO DO THE DECENT THING, LABOUR SUPPORTS WELFARE DEATHS”

    SNP oppose welfare bill
    Mon, 13/07/2015 – 14:13

The Scottish National Party today confirmed it will lodge an amendment opposing the welfare bill and has called on Labour opponents of the bill to vote against Tory plans to cut tax credits.

The welfare bill, to be voted on next Tuesday, includes limiting child tax credits.

The SNP is clear in its opposition to the plans which will increase the burden on people who are already struggling. IFS analysis shows that Tory cuts to the work allowance and income threshold elements of universal credit and tax credits alone will cost 3 million families an average of £1,000 a year.

Following the current Labour leader’s comments that she would not oppose the bill the SNP called on all Labour MPs who want to oppose the Tories to vote with the SNP next week.

SNP Social Justice and Welfare spokesperson Dr Eilidh Whiteford MP said:

“Last week’s budget hits the poorest the hardest. The cuts to child tax credits and the changes to working tax credit will leave many low income families worse off.

“Labour may not be willing to stand up to the Tories and oppose these cuts which leave 13 million families worse off – but the SNP will provide the real opposition in this parliament.

You see, it is not just a report of welfare related deaths, it is also the basis for a case of CORPORATE MANSLAUGHTER.

The first deaths should have sounded an alarm, but the DWP and it’s gung ho assassins decided to carry on as though nothing had happened, but this will be seen as their biggest mistake.

They knew cuts and sanctions, especially to the poorest and disabled would cost lives, so they enlisted someone to do an impact assessment that deliberately cleared everything they were doing as fit for purpose.

The DWP have a proven track record for telling lies and the judiciary are always at hand to cover up their tracks………………….

They are a double act like Morecambe and Wise, but one makes you laugh while the other guides you to the cemetery gates, the DWP that is………..
