While millions of people struggle to eat or heat their homes, and thousands of families face eviction, foodbanks and homelessness due to sanctions, bedroom tax and loss of disability benefits, Capita cashes in with conferences for Lord Freud (Minister for Dismantling Welfare) and his workfare collaborators.
You could pay £350 – £575 (plus VAT) to join all those snouts in the workfare trough at the Park Plaza Riverbank Hotel. Or you can let them know what you think via twitter, email, phone – follow the links below.

The aim of the conference is to get ‘partners’ who make money from it ready for the next stage of ‘benefit reform’, with a special focus on ‘shifting the culture’. Let’s shift it in another direction!

They are still going ahead with tribunals in which the claimants had their benefits stolen by ATOS biased medical reports.
Although the reports have been deemed to be, not worth the paper they are written on, the HM COURTS AND TRIBUNAL SERVICES carry on the dirty work of the DWP.
I wrote to the HM COURTS AND TRIBUNALS and requested that my case be quashed because it was based upon a flawed ATOS medical report.

they try to and do crush the self esteem of some, by giving us the run around to prove our benefit entitlement….then set up the managed decline WP, to persuade us that this crushing is all in our minds and we can buy our self esteem back, if we would only do as they say…as there is no reasonably available employment, for the majority of the millions, that they claim to work ready, and obviously many are realistically unable too work…we are trapped…in a system that provides no realistic reliable solutions. it is in this construct that they expect those least resourced and able provide it, to do so ie for ourselves, the vicious circle of run around…statistics prove hands down that the work programme is worse than useless, yet they persist with it!…their assertion that self esteem is won or earned is simply NOT true….if one refuses to participate when one has agreed/coerced or mandated to take part, leads to sanctions, which further destroys self esteem by blocking voice…SE comes only from within, once voice is blocked so is SE…it is called SE by cause of it coming from within, ie from self, it is gut, knee jerk, intuitive, natural reaction, with full unequivocal voice… often the rationalisations only comes from the feared consequences of expressing one’s voice…the goal is not to learn SE, but to recover it… self esteem is only recovered and maintained by using voice to express what human being feels emotionally, the traumas caused by coercion destroys/dampens that voice…freewill is freedom of mind to choose….we are only free if we can tell the world what freedom is, without conditionality or sanctions coercion….
It has never been anything but serious, but a little lightheartedness now and again would not go amiss either.

Why are CAB taking part in this Crapita conference? This might be one reason…
When the Coagulation took power, CAB were hit with cuts, big ones. Then rescue funding was announced. Unfortunately, the rescue funding was to administered by the DWP. The welfies I had contact with were all in agreement that this was a very bad move, because they would be compelled to jump when the DWP pulled the strings. All were concerned that they would no longer be free to give the best advice to individuals seeking their help.
Incidentally, Crapita have a massive presence within the NHS. They have many contracts to run HR for the NHS and their employees across all the different disciplines. They are have proven themselves to be just as useless in running NHS HR as their predecessors in the job – ATOS.
@Lucy so DWP crapita etc have ” bought ” CAB. Then ? This is bollocks because let’s not forget the cuts to legal aid and CAB office closures…they should have told themto go aand get stuffed..
CAB didn’t have the luxury of telling the DWP to get lost Bob, the cuts to CAB were so bad that never was the term “rescue funding” more apt. So many offices have closed, so many desperately needing help, I doubt there was any way they would/could have said no.
Still closed the offices even though most were run by forced volunteers.
The paid staff at my local CAB are all still under threat of losing their jobs or having hours cut. Some paid staff have gone and the wait for appointments getting ridiculous.
If they were using forced volunteers (and training them to give basic advice) then what quality of advice would they be giving out if they are only working there under duress?
Remember folks! That packet of biscuits* you got them home and were thoroughly broken and smashed up in the middle of the packet and the ends were fine, even though you took care to put them in the top of the shopping bag?** Well those biscuits might well have been the result of a frustrated and angry employee*** who had nowhere else to vent except on their production line.

Haha I contacted Aspire housing via their online feedback form which turned out to be complaints form.
They ask what’s the issue I told them workfare and UC they then ask how should they resolve the issue ..I told them not to attend this fucking convention
Then submitted the form and got a thank you we will be in touch.
DIRECTION NOTICE….. dear MR xxxxx (1) you have appealed against DWP’S decision that JSA should not be paid to because of an alleged failure to participate in one of their back to work schemes, (2) the issues raised by your appeal are likely to be affected by the outcome of a test case that is currently going through the courts. the name of the test case is Reilly and wilson vrs the seretary of state for work and pensions. the case has received wide media coverage . (3) DWP as exercised it’s power to serve a notice on the tribunal requiring that no action should be taken on your appeal until the outcome of the test case! is known! that power is contained in 26 social security act 1998. (4) the tribunal is bound to comply with that notice. consequently, your appeal will be stayed (that is frozen) untill the outcome of the (test case) we will contact you again at that point! (5) you have the right to ask the tribunal to reconsider this decision but it is fair to point out that ,essentially
, you would have to persuade the tribunal that your appeal falls outside the scop of the test case. you may wish to consult an advice worker first. WHAT THE FXXX is this all about any one shed any light ??

Can’t help notice but we keep getting leaflets through the door for ‘funeral services’. And also the TV is littered with ads for ‘funeral plans’. Seems to be really on the increase of late, almost as if it is big business. Is something going on? Has there been an increase in the death rate or something?
And the local shopping mall has had FOUR undertakers move in! I mean like there is only one greengrocer, bakers but FOUR bleeding undertakers. Something unpleasant and depressing about having the stench of death thrust in your face when you are just trying to do a shop! Has to be the first time we have seen an undertaker squeezed between two charity shops – that is another thing the shopping mall is swarming with! It’s like when the high streets was invaded with bookies.

All it means is that when there is a ruling on the test case, which is currently being heard, that ruling COULD have an effect on your appeal. It could be that you would no longer need to appeal, or maybe your appeal would be looked at in a different way, could be a number of things.
Y ou could appeal to have your appeal heard before the test case has a ruling, but you would have to show that the test case has no bearing at all on your appeal.

Disappointing to read that the CAB are involved in this, but faced with a choice of reduced funding or toeing the line I understand why management acted as they did. The CAB management will seek to show that they are really helping claimants while the welfare to work industry will seek to show that their activities are wholly laudable and fully supported by the CAB. If CAB didn’t sup with the Devil more money would have gone to those who do so with short spoons! Claimants lose.
Just emailed the hotel to inform them that they won’t be paid for hosting today’s event and neither will their staff. 😀

Capita have their dirty fingers everywhere. They “administer” local authority databases including the housing benefit lists. Also the NHS databases where they can read anyone’s medical history. And of course Capita runs the thoroughly disreputable TV Licensing outfit that routinely commits fraud and perjury through its commission-hungry salesmen stitching up those who don’t buy TV licences because they don’t watch TV.
I suspect that Capita use all its “customers” “confidential data” to compile a huge private and thoroughly illegal database that holds everything on any given UK individual. Capita needs rodding out to flush out all of its rotten core.
