The Daily Mail’s Slander Has Fanned the Flames of Anti-Thatcher Rage

Margaret Thatcher's death divides opinion across the UKIf anyone had any doubts over attending their local Thatcher death celebration they should be swept away by the Daily Mail’s recent treatment of two people they largely falsely accuse of being behind the recent joyous merrie-making.

The downmarket tabloid has decided to make it both personal and political this week after launching a string of vile misogynst smears on Romany Blythe whilst attempting to cost another party-goer his job.  Like many in the country they attended the spontaneous parties that broke out when Thatcher died and posted on facebook encouraging others to do the same.  This was enough for the Daily Mail to ransack their personal lives and launch a string of crude smears, along with deluded rants aimed at veteran anarchist Ian Bone.

It seems that should someone disagree with the Daily Mail they can expect to have their medical history or employment details splashed across the newspapers.  Whilst toffs and celebrities have been running round trying to keep Hugh Grants’s blow jobs and their own dodgy dealings off the front pages, it’s business as usual from the press if you happen not to be rich.

It is typical of the upper classes to attempt to define morality in this way, believing they can sniff away the raucous demands of the mob by raising their noses in the air and condemning  all who do not share their views as ruffians or savages.  Yet the Daily Mail has already reported that Thatcher’s funeral will have a ‘Falklands’ theme.  It is perfectly acceptable in their eyes to use the deaths of working class British and Argentinian men and women in the Falklands conflict to celebrate the life of the war-monger who sent them to their deaths.  Whilst we are supposed to weep for Carol and her criminal brother, not a thought is given to the feelings of the families of those killed on the Belgrano – when Thatcher sank a retreating ship costing hundreds of lives.

The truth is that the death of Margaret Thatcher was greeted by cries of joy throughout the land and no amount of toff whinging will change that.  And the onslaught of fawning across all of the media for a woman who destroyed so many lives demands an angry and defiant response – especially coming at a time when her political children wish to carry on her class war.

Her death should be enough to call all who oppose the coalition government out onto the streets this weekend.  Not just to raise a glass and enjoy the carnival atmosphere, but also to send a message to the world showing how most people in the UK really remember the crimes of Margaret Thatcher.

And even those squeamish about celebrating the death of a rancid tyrant have been given a reason to join the party after the pathetic tantrum thrown in the right wing press recently.  A huge turn out on Saturday in Trafalgar Square from 6pm, or in other city centres around the UK, will send a fitting and well deserved message of solidarity to all those slandered as extremists in the gutter press this week.

Look at this webcam link….. If you are viewing now saturday 13th april 2013 around 4PM, Youll see around 30 policemen and women waiting for trouble!

I think they are wasting there time, such a wet and rainy dayu nobody wants to party in the rain ;(

relating to thatchers death party in trafalgar square

      • Not much happening on the Trafalgar Square cam either, all in all a bit of a damp squib…. for the fascist coppers🙂

  1. It won’ hurt Gideon’s balance sheets either. Their lot will probably be dancing to Glenn Miller’s ‘string of pearls’ and getting drunk on the proceeds of their tax windfalls.

  2. It was 323 lives on the Belgrano, not 1,000

    • Yes but at the time when Thatcher was telling ‘the nation’ to rejoice it was thought that it was possible that the whole crew of 1,000 had died.

  3. Jay

I think he was referring to the lost live of the women and children who had lost their father when the Belgrano sank.

  4. Won’t be able to attend the celebrations, but I’ll be there in spirit.

If anyone is in doubt as to the “taste” aspect, just bear in mind how she disrespected our workers by gambling with their lives and livelihoods. Remember, too, how she crowed about victories over unions…and how she called union members “the enemy within”. THAT is how she saw the “working class”.

Unfortunately, this nation is still divided, those who defend society and its’ responsibilities to its’ members: those who want to consider themselves above society, who have bought into hatchet’s propaganda about owning whatever and, naturally, those who make the laws to protect a (according to hatchet) non-existent society….then consider themselves above those laws, changing them when it suits THEIR purpose.

So, charge your glasses, let loose the cheer….the crone is dead. Then, onto business…..stop bickering and get Condemns out.

    • Well said Kelpiemare. It always reminds me of a game of musical chairs, our society. Those remaining ‘seated’ have decided to stop the music. Stop the game.

    • I’d also highlight how many lives were lost in the Falklands war just for her ego trip and securing of power. That’s all they were those soldiers, pawns for her political ends. Not to mention the legacy she has left where society today is broken and getting worse under Cameron. I think the woman was mad rather than bad. That’s just my opinion.

      • …and more Brit veterans committed suicide after the Falklands campaign, than actually died during it. But no, she was definitely bad, along with her demented bigot of a millionaire husband.

      • Indeed, John. Who, amongst those alive at the time, can forget the sight of Galahad ablaze? Belgrano?

Especially since the warmongering crone could have avoided those deaths, and those horrific injuries, sustained by both sides, if she had listened to the advice of the Captain of the Endurance? Her desire was re-election, and her wars victims paid the price.

I found it incredible that she was re-elected but, in retrospect, I believe the electorate were showing support for the service personnel. That, and the split labour/sdp vote.

And, now? My belief is…..if labour don’t start defending the 99%, fighting in the NHS and benefits corner, Cameron, in a possible 3-way, right-wing coalition, (gutless, reckless, libdems and hideous farage) get back in. We, of every hue of red, must stick together. And Miliband? Grow a pair, and shed progress…cos they aren’t.

      • From son of ex marine and nephew of an ex para from 2nd airborne and resident of aldershot for 43 years I can assure you the soldiers who fought for queen and country in the Falklands were the finest in the world whose achievements in liberating thousands of british people from the disgusting invasion of the Argentinian army. Will never be forgotten here they were never pawns in anybody’s game we have a great sense of pride for what they did. You leftists are all cowards you would never stand shoulder to shoulder with these great men. And as for your protest at Trafalgar Square which as we speak is a pitiful turnout sums up how weak and pathetic you lot are if you all feel that strongly about the evil of thatcher than why would a bit of rain stop you. You will see the real feeling of the british public on Wednesday when over 300,000 supporters of maggie will be in attendance including thousands of Falklands veterans all to pay their final respects to the Iron Lady RIP MAGGIE and in farnborough and aldershot the union flag is flying high everywhere for you.

        • @LEE SCUTT do you think it right that many people were sent to fight and die over a squabble over mining rights ? maggie was willing to sacrifice those lives for bits of rock that be worth a few bob…
and as for evil argentinians..oh come on terrified young conscriptees..more likely..who had no chance anyway..

          • Then vent your anger at the Argentinian government for their illegal invasion of the Falklands and that fact that the Falklands were discovered before there was even a country called Argentina, and prior to the invasion in 1982 Argentinians have never inhabited the islands. As I for the conscripts of the Argentinian army I do feel for them for the fact their government sent them into war against such a formidable force such as the Ghurkas, airborne forces and the marines, at the end of the day if any soldiers were pawns in a governments game it was the argies. Btw apologies regarding insults to any socialists with my previous comments I respect your political views 100% even if I don’t agree.

            • @LEE SCUTT thanks anyone who is sent to fight and die for the profit of companies is a disgrace .the argentinian govt were involved in same squabble over mining rights of same place…so britain and argentine were both bad as each other..sacrificing squaddies for lumps of rock..time and time again it amazes me that working class men are sent to be killed so that some one can profit…its so sad…

            • @lee scutt i have admiration for army guys who will go anywhere they are sent and carry out their orders .its a shame they come back in bits after that bravery then accused of being dole scum..thats tragic..

            • Well what about tony Blair sending our great soldiers men and women into war in Afghanistan with the supposed objective of stopping the growth of extremist islam, when he made little or no attempt to stop extremists in his own country, we have seen hundreds of our brave boys and girls come home with limbs missing and over 400 hundred not come home at all. I know there are many got hardworking muslims in our country and I count many as friends but there is a minority of mutters that are allowed to spout evil in public on our streets totally unchallenged when our boys and girls are fighting to supposedly put a stop to this in a war in a country that is totally none of our business. Pull our troops out of Afghanistan and Iraq and charge Blair for war monger he is, how can anybody berate thatcher over the Falklands and not Blair for the disaster in the Middle East ?

            • Lee, there is no disrespect for the service personnnel who fought in the Falklands conflict.

There is, however, a great disrespect for the government of that time that chose to ignore intelligence, from the Captain of the then HMS Endurance, warning term of the build up of Argentina forces. And the heightening tension re the Falklands.

That that leader, Thatcher, did nothing on a diplomatic front to halt the conflict, makes her a murderer. Of our people. Of Argentina’s too. Small wonder she and Pinochet became rather chummy. The dead, maimed and injured were the collateral for her 3rd term.

You have every right to be proud of your family and their mates.

        • overburdenddonkey

i stood shoulder to shoulder with these great man….we all had such a laugh…it was a joy to go to work in them days…4 me….anyway…they were fantastic men…and boy did there opinions of war change as they grew….vic said to one what war did you fight in son to one of the men aden….how about you vic….. BURMA…the whole mess went silent….and war was never spoken of again….or harry, who on the 5th day of dunkirk…came the order…”every man for himself”….left wing right wing middle wing….no one cared….then….coz that is what it became survival of the fittest….all of their opinions of war had change…most were unable to speak of the horrors that they wittnessed…it took harry 50 years before he could return to dunkirk….he walked the beach alone remembering his mates and in tears…

          • Totally respect what you just posted my father fought in Anzio and never mentioned his achievements to me or my siblings, and I know when he returned to Anzio in 2001 and saw the war graves he was totally overcome. Anyway looking at webcam of Trafalgar Square I’d say the protesters easily number fewer than a thousand mostly huddled into one corner. It’s been good to read posts on here and though I don’t indulge in posting myself often. I think it’s great that there are forums where people left and right can have a say and because of these forums governments labour or Tory will always have to be on their toes, britain is still the best place on earth to live. Best of luck to all on here PEACE

        • Ex Royal Marine myself. No coward I assure you but I DO have my own mind. Pillock!

        • @Lee scutt,

” … you would never stand shoulder to shoulder with these great men.”

As you write the British Armed Forces are standing shoulder to shoulder with a tyrannical government building a privileged welfare system over and above the civil rights and social security of the people they are supposed to be defending.

The military term for this is mercenary, lest we forget.

          • I agree. I’ve got to admit, I don’t see what is so romantic and admirable about killing on command for money?

All this country needs, is a domestic army to defend the British mainland, not soldiers stationed all over the world to protect the imperialist, neocolonialist interests of the rich. Without men willing to be their enforcers – to kill and maim other human beings for them, the ruling elite couldn’t impose their will on foreign countries, so soldiers are the enablers of this exploitative, destructive global capitalist system.

Their sacrifices are not even appreciated by the people who they kill for. When they come home maimed and psychologically scarred by war, they are often just thrown on the scrapheap and left to become homeless and destitute. The ruling elite, who they shed innocent blood for, are so greedy and mean and have such contempt for them, they even resent paying for them to be taken care of after they have served their purpose and are no longer of any use to them. Sometimes soldiers even have to buy their own equipment!

Soldiers are brave people to put their lives on the line, but it is a misguided bravery in the service of greedy, evil men. It is not defending the British people and serving the country, it is serving the feral, degenerate ruling elite. A better use for their bravery, would be to stay here and fight the establishment for a decent country for all its citizens. That would be real patriotism.

  5. @JOHHNY VOID the same shit rag that tried to discredit a child sex abuse victim whilst publishing its ”all grown up” leering articles about adolescent females…btw just had fucking idiot troll of the week on toms blog about the poor cerebral palsy lady..claiming she is ‘evil’ and probbly gonna set fire to house with kids..fucking useless twat..

  6. You all do understand that these demonstrations are going to be hijacked and there will be agent provocatures in operation to cause violence to give the miltiarised police state to flex its muscles. Just pointing out the trap been readied here.

    • Paul. Yes. I do not live in London but I am expecting heavy handed Police tactics at Trafalgar Square. Be careful out there folks.

      • @nats yeah and dont feed the pigeon either..

      • As it turned out the police were pretty cool. Confiscated a few tinnies and a sound system at the start, but as the crowds grew they backed off and let the party commence – just keeping an eye on safety issues. They were pretty quick to remove some pissed-up BNP types who arrived later looking for a fight. As I left that night there were rows of parked riot vans in nearby streets, full of bored coppers playing on their phones.

  7. I just lost it.

I rang the daily mail recpetion and just swore down the phone at the muppet (and he was) working there.

It’s not big and it’s not clever, boys and girls, but this newspaper has gotten away with this kind of disgusting and, perhaps more importantly, hypocritical behaviour for far too long. Something must be done. Free press is one thing, but these newspapers are utterly out of control – look at how they hounded Paris Brown. Whatever you might think of her silly former behaviour, or even the job she was given, to put her through the kangaroo court of the populist press is just low.
All this week the daily mail has been hounding people that dared to voice an opinion against Thatcher. These people have been painted in the most lurid colours (and you can bet some of them, having been broadcast on TV, will face getting the sack).

So the lesson here is… get a swear jar before you ring the Mail! Then at least some good can come of it. I hate to lose my temper like that it makes me feel cold, but I cannot udnerstand how people can read this crap.

    • @whistler its because they are ‘wilfully ignorant” paul dacre is the ‘neighbourhood watch curtain twitcher’ to the nation.

      • Apparently (at least according to the PCC who’ve had this put to them a lot recently) Dacre isn’t allowed to influence the decision making. If he turns up they ask him to leave the room!

Of course whether this is true or indeed has any bearing given his status in the organisation is entirely up for debate.

They had a lot of complaints following the Philpott article, but Dacre’s spectre is bound to influence policy and I seriously doubt whether, if an apology or retraction (at best – Dacre won’t lose his job) is required, whether it will be quite as prominent as that vile headline.

    • I wouldn’t waste my breath on these idiots at the daily heil, like a little kid throwing a tantrum all they want is attention. Don’t give them it, it’s not worth the aggravation. Everyone on here is 10 times the person of that tatty little rag’s journos.

      • It was a moment of weakness. This week (coming on top of last week’s disgusting Philpott headline) has just been overload.
They’ve probably entered my phone number on the Daily Mail Hatecomputer just to keep me on a file as a dreadful ‘lefty’ – you know the sort: the crazed anarchists high on socialism and reefer rampaging through our towns right now singing ‘ding dong the witch is dead’.

This world makes me crazy sometimes and if nothing else, the nonsense that’s come out of Tory Towers this week has really shown the true colours of these vile hatemongers. There will be no backing down on this from them, so why should we?

        • “This world makes me crazy sometimes and if nothing else, the nonsense that’s come out of Tory Towers this week has really shown the true colours…”

          That’s Cyndi Lauper that is!🙂

If this world makes you crazy
And you’ve taken all you can bear
          You call me up
Because you know I’ll be there

And I’ll see your true colors
          Shining through
          I see your true colors

    • Maybe target the journalists of the Daily Heil. I always thought revealing someones medical records was a criminal offence. Picket the offices. Until you target them and make it personal they will continue to break the law – and of course the police will do nothing about it.

    • sad attention seeker-get out more…

  14. Celebrating Thatcher’s death is surely freedom of speech and expression, not illegal or in bad taste when 20,000 miners were condemned to poverty, many people died in the pits providing us with heat and power, many still suffer now with respiratory diseases and related illnesses, we owe it to so many brave colliery workers to not only stand in solidarity against an evil despot but a timely reminder of a darker enemy we face now.

  15. Annos

probably something even worse than what we have now – that’s the nightmare scenario ahead of us.

    • guy fawkes

I heard a few years ago that there is not enough real money in the world to cover the derivatives market. We are in a mess and there is no way out under the system we have. God alone knows how many will die because of the greed of the few…

    • Landless Peasant

Fuck the BBC, they’re largely irrelevant now we have the internet.

      • @landless the inter what? never heard of it.my telly is broadcasting episodes of jackanory

        • Landless Peasant

Ha ha, sorry mate, shouldn’t laugh, I’m using an out-dated second-hand ex-ebay computer and I’m piggy-backing off my neighbour’s internet connection, couldn’t afford to keep mine. The land-line had to go too to pay for my Bedroom Tax…..and a TV licence would be a novelty …..😉

  19. Landless Peasant

The outpouring of anti-thatcher sentiment was not just the result of some carefully orchestrated campaign, as some of the Right-wing media are trying to imply, but was in the main a spontaneous reaction and expression of personal relief and happiness by those who suffered under her brutal regime.

  20. Annos

I don’t believe that there is not enough money in the world to cover the derivatives market, there is enough money going around the world to feed the world population three times over. I was not talking about a collapse in a monetarist system I was referring to a nightmare scenario with regards to disorder and civil unrest borne out of the greed of others who are deliberately creating an unequal society.

I would love to see all economies collapse and end moneterist systems everywhere, we are constantly being drip fed the idea that everything we need for our survival will become scarce as the population grows globally, this is poppycock.

Resources and markets are deliberately being manipulated to make us think that is the case

  21. guy fawkes

I agree about the disorder and civil unrest, as for the derivatives market, well, the article I saw about five years ago said it was 500 trillion (can’t remember if that was $ or £), anyway, I have heard it it much greater then 500 trillion, indeed, many times 500 trillion. Its all in the realms of virtual money, its all been one great global ponzi scheme. Its all about to come tumbling down.

        MORE HERE ABOUT MILLWALL FANS:

        http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/law-and-order/9990334/Football-fans-vow-to-confront-anti-Thatcher-demonstrators.html

Officers will have to deal with three protests by left-wing groups, including an event to “celebrate” the death of Baroness Thatcher in Trafalgar Square, as 50,000 football fans head into central London following the FA Cup semi-final between Millwall and Wigan.

Some fans from Millwall have threatened to confront the anti-Thatcher protesters. The public have been warned to avoid central London.

SO, WHERE WERE ALL THESE MILLWALL FANS THAT THREATENED TO BEAT UP PROTESTORS? IN THE IMAGINATION OF THE GOVT AND POLICE NO DOUBT..AND NOT AS MANY PPL AS EXPECTED SHOWED UP IN TRAFALGAR SQUARE..I WONDER WHY EVEN WITH THE WEATHER…

        • Some Millwall fans did turn up early on, and a few pissed ones after 10.00 pm. Both times looking for a fight, and both times removed by the police who could easily spot the difference between them and the party-goers.

  22. watch the keiser report today on russia today channel it talks about the virtual currency BIT COIN which will be owned by capitalists not the state.
It is supposed to have component bases, community, political and maths, i.e. if the banking system collapses and this replaces it we will really be relying on charity if you refuse to work in the communiity for you bit coin.
The public decide(decide) if they want to buy into bit coin or stay with a failing pound as currency which is giving poor returns.
WE WANT AN END TO CAPITALISM NOT MORE CAPITALISM.

  23. PS The country needs a fair and just state apparatus also not a corrupt and brutal one that we have now, that will take us to war to win votes.

  24. On Sky News this morning there’s a report about how Thatcher planned her own funeral down to the finest details. One detail was a reading from the bible by whoever was the prime minister at the time – can’t help thinking what the irony would have been, if by some quirk of fate, that prime minister had been Arthur Scargill !

  25. He would probably read from his own bible “ding, dong bell, Thatchers gone to…………….the pits.”

she was a destroyer..and put nothing back…except misery…and her cronies dare not admit what she did…

so they carry on with her “good” work…nitpickers…is all they remain…

she a child trowing toxic tantrums….and they cannot see it…and are in.denile….

  27. I’m not sure why I keep hearing about people being too young to remember or have known of Thatcher’s time in power.
Surely that’s no different to how people are meant to honour veterans of war or figures from their religions?
I was a very small child when she was in power and while I was too young to appreciate the impact of what she was doing, I had parents and grandparents who personally despised her. The same is probably true of most of these young things partying to the theme of her demise.
Even if that wasn’t the case, we are all still suffering the affects of her deregulations and privatisations. Anybody who pays utility bills or needs a council house has every right to hate Baroness Thatcher.

The Daily Mail just needs to keep its venom in its questionably bred mouth
and accept that if she can be viewed as divisive, as is being overstated daily, then there is legitimate grounds for hatred in spending their money venerating her in death.

I’m wondering if the Philpotts are happy she has died. Their names have shrank in media representation since Thatcher returned to the underworld.
Maybe someone should point out to the heil that the loss of one divisive life seems to have become more important than 6 innocent lives.

so true Jj…the 50’s were ok..but people were numb and this was understood..then the unifiction began in the 60’s..or was seen to begin.. resistance grew…. most people were shocked and numb….the stage was set….then she come…and god help us…evil personified….

  28. I Wonder how long it will be, before the Daily Mail says Thatcher died of a broken heart after seeing the financial mess Labour has left the country in and seeing her beloved Britain – the country she worked so hard and sacrificed so much to make great again, get overrun by immigrants and destroyed by lazy, feckless, workshy, benefit scroungers like Mick Phillpott?

    • Shhhhhhhh…..they’ll lift that and claim it as “left admits….”….!!

          • Chance would be a fine thing. Duncan Smith is probably in deep mourning, now that his idol is dead. He has probably locked himself away in his basement, so he can watch Thatcher speeches all day and night and study her writings, so that he can refine his fascist methods and tactics and prepare himself for a new wave of attacks on the sick, disabled and unemployed once his beloved hero is buried.

    • @R33 You think that scameron talks to the dead? oh wait…

  29. They keep banging on about Thatcher being the “Iron Lady” on TV and in the newspapers, but she didn’t look so “iron” when she was blubbering (full of self-pity), when her friends turned on her and kicked her out of power. Where was her stiff upper lip? I’m sick of hearing it.

Any coward can crush someone who is weaker than them, it doesn’t show that you are tough and you don’t need to be “iron” to do it. You just need to be cold, heartless and vicious, with a complete lack of empathy and compassion for your victims.

She was no “Iron Lady”, she was just a cruel, vicious, vindictive, egotistical bully, which is why she is so revered by Tories everywhere.

  39. I’ve just been listening to songs on U tube and found words from an old Bee Gees song, ‘ I started a joke.’

    The last verse:

I finally died, which started the whole world living
Oh if only I’d seen that the joke was on me.

    Fitting now for Thatcher.

  40. Lee Scutt

How dare you call people who post on this site cowards, most have been fighting the good fight just to survive through the Thatcher/Blair/Cameron years but you are so brainwashed you can’t see the fighting they have done to end injustice and with no guns either.

  41. Rosemarie Harris

    Lee scutt.
It’s nice to know others are now seeing how the real people feel about her, you like us are entilled to your opinions after all this is our page and of course our father’s and grandfather’s fought the ‘real wars’ for you and for us to stay free. They didn’t join up some had no choice these are the reason we have free speech today. Just because the armed forces are paid to go to war dosen’t mean we all should buckle under the weight and use terms that seems to say we should all wave the bloody flag because a women sent you to war. The people that died was a waste but the fault was on both sides and iam sure that most of us on this site had a thought for the people who died in the name of war. We are not cowards everyone on here have fought harder to look after our self’s and family during the Thatcher years. While people you knew were being paid to do the job, many had their jobs/homes/ family and communties stripped of any future.I like you are entilled to say this not because of what your family or friends got paid to do…But because of the older generation who had no choice but to go and fight in the 1st and 2nd world wars,These are the people that came back to nothing and when they were getting older what did Thatcher do to help them in their old age.?
The party kicks off on Wednesday wherever at home in the streets or where ever this is what freedom means. Ding bloody Dong…….

    • overburdenddonkey

talking to lee back there..made me realize….how alone one is…on the path to peace…how one has to really get to know oneself….there are no guides…but ones own instincts….the one’s we are all born with….know thyself now makes perfect sense…

      • well folks the thatcher party in trafalgar square turned out to be a damp squib really

        • I had a look on the “Obi” cam. It looked more like a vigil. Sad really. British weather eh. I guess where just not good at Thiaman Square ( I do not know how to spell it) type thingies. I hope the all the people that were there are having a good party (inside) somewhere else. 10 out of ten and a gold star for everybody that turned up.

          • @nats and all.. something quite odd happened..i was on live video feed from trafalgar square and the chat room was full of comments about MILLWALL fans being there..it seems that prior to the event twitter was alive with tweets about MILLWALL fans showing up at the event to cause trouble..except it didnt happen..so i’m guessing it was propaganda to deter many people..

          • HERE ARE MILLWALL STORIES
            http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/articles/456774/20130413/margaret-thatcher-riot-police-violent-clashes-anarchists.htm

“Supporters from Millwall FC are reported to be travelling to London on Saturday evening after watching their team in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley. One Millwall fan tweeted: “To all you protesting on Sat at Trafalgar Sq about Thatcher, be warned Millwall in town and in force.”

Another tweet warned: “The Commies are having a party to celebrate Thatcher dying at Trafalgar Sq Saturday. 30k Millwall fans will be about too in London that day.”

            • It’s getting late, so I may be seeing smoke’n’mirrors…..but, there seems to be a case of multiple personalities in one troublemaking mind trolling around here.

Keep safe, y’all, and sweet dreams.

              • @KELPIE I WAS ON LIVE FEED COMING FROM THE EVENT AND EVERYONE ON CHAT ROOM WAS GOING ON ABOUT MILLWALL FANS AND ASKING WHERE WERE THEY? WE COULDNT SEE ANY IN THE FEED..

          • Thatcher made it rain from beyond the grave to ruin the death party for her enemies. Not even death itself, can diminish the evil powers of the “Iron Lady”.

            • @kittycat @R33 i fell asleep , did i miss the ALL OUT WAR ON THE STREETS , between a huge commie army led by an evil mastermind against maggies army of loyal millwall fans..maybe it will be out on DVD soon, oh well..

    MAGGOT CATCHER? ROT IN PIECES!

    • @incubus were the 50,000 millwall fans there? that seems quite a lot to me..ps i heard later some nazi thug was told to clear off, also some millwall fans supported the protest against lewisham a&e closure..

      • Word was that Millwall was coming to support, not attack-their team have sported ‘Save Lewisham Hospital’ on their strip…Fascists were there, but I can’t say for certain if they were connected to Millwall (what with their rep)…and yeah, they got short shrift after attacking one of us.

    • there is something not making sense…on the chat room with the live feed from TS..it was said that thatcher hated footbal and fans, also its come to light that bernard ingham view of hillborough was that it was caused by ‘drunken yobs’ even today he is of that opinion despite the enquiry.
so why would millwall fans want to descend on ‘lefties’ and beat them up

      seems very odd to me..

      • I’d hazard a guess and say they are Sun reading fatheads, the sort of people who keep people like IDS (MP for Chingford and Woodford Green) in power.

  51. “Police arrested five people as revellers celebrated the death of Margaret Thatcher in London’s Trafalgar Square today.
Officers scuffled with protesters and five were arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly or for inflicting grievous bodily harm.
People swilled Champagne in the rain as hundreds gathered for a party that some said had been planned for more than 20 years.
People brought sparklers, party poppers and balloons, wore party hats, drank cider, and chanted slogans about Lady Thatcher, who died at The Ritz on Monday.
The event was heavily policed and there were some reports of minor scuffles between protesters and officers.”

Police were heard to tell anti-Thatcher protesters in Trafalgar Square that Millwall football fans had joined the demonstration and were “throwing bottles of urine” at officers.

  54. the anti thatcher ‘rage’ in trafalgar square was about 4000 showing up and trying to party in the rain and have a bit of a complaint about her..whilst joe public were warned that ‘hordes’ of thatcher loving millwall fans were going to show up and give these commie thatcher haters a hiding…and what do we read? ‘minor scuffles’ and piss throwing footy fans..who got nicked..

    • THIS IS WORTH A READ !

      http://www.fitwatch.org.uk/category/npoiu/

“New revelations published in an excellent article in today’s Schnews show police and/or government employees actively disrupting activist websites, posting comments designed to “sow mistrust, demoralise movements and to incite violence and illegality”.
We understand well over one hundred posts have been made to Indymedia UK, the activists open publishing news website, made by anonymous posters hiding behind the ‘303 gateway’ – part of the Government Secure Intranet (GSI). The GSI was set up to provide secure communications between government bodies, but appears also to be used to hide the origin of defamatory, misleading and malicious comments made on a number of activist websites.
Fitwatch has also been the target of posts from IP: 62.25.109.196, gateway-303.energis.gsi.gov.uk, leading to serious questions regarding how many political sites and blogs have been targeted.”

I didnt post this to scare or put off anyone on here, only to let you guys know the kind of shit that seems to be happening..

  56. Lee Scutt talks of the falklands war which I am informed is to do with possible oil offshore there not rocks, you can understand the desperate need for Thatcher to keep it. How we can claim in these supposed civilized times to own an island or country thousands of miles away from us is anathema to me.
You forget another war Maggie took us into, the Gulf War.

    • @GUY fawkes i was referring to the south pole regions not the isles themselves..rare earth materials and such like it seems there was a spat between britain and argentine over the same plot, exactly the same time of the conflict.. over falkland isle..

  57. Pingback: The Daily Mail’s Slander Has Fanned the Flames of Anti-Thatcher Rage | Hastings Anarchists

  58. guy fawkes

Yes you are right about he falklands war, but the main reason was that the UK had to keep the falklands, if they didn’t they would have lost their sector of the South Pole to Argentina, the Brtish sector it has been rumoured has VERY large mineral deposits and vast amounts of oil.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Territorial_claims_in_Antarctica

All comes down to making money for the very rich at the cost of many working class peoples lifes both in Argentina and the UK.

    • @ANNOS I have to thank you there mate for confirming what i have known for ages now,, and what i posted back to guy fawkes on here.and also for lee scutt who had been on here..the tragedy of lives lost over ‘lumps of rock’ basically..

  59. Obi Wan Kenobi

Trafalgar Square all clean and tidy again, tourists milling around now.

      • Obi Wan Kenobi

        @bobchewie:

I was looking to see if there were any people just waking up or staggering about with a hangover or if any graffitti or damage had been done – but no, it all looks normal.

        • @obi wan kenobi ha !! that what the want you to think..until you realise that its all clever computer effects and that in reality the shape shifting freemason lizard robots are in control..

        • surprised this camera didn’t “crash” with the amount of viewers it must have been getting.

          • @cruz after the live feed ended and went off air, the chat room language at times got slutty one female all rest blokes, and eventually ended up with competition about best bond film…..

  60. Chewie and Annos

Thanks for that input – I was not so much contradicting chewie but emphasizing that at the time the oil was the main issue not the rocks. Like Annos say’s any wealth derived from either sources will go to the richest in both countries not the poorest.
I would like to point out that Argentina recently offered to share the Malvinas but out government stuck to their guns about ownership and refused.

    • @GUY FAWKES my understanding was that the disputed antarctic territory was going on around the same time as the ‘war’..which must be just a coincidence..

  61. Alright chewie it was over rocks – happy now.

    • @PAT i’ve heard of this technology before.. i am surprised tesco dont charge the employees for wearing them, maybe its a trial run for their customers next where punters are constantly reminded that when they havent fulfilled their shopping targets…and are summoned to HQ and fined. (proceeds donated to tesco CEO fund)
“A Tesco spokesman said: “This technology is used throughout the industry as a working aid and at no time is it used to monitor colleagues while on their breaks.
“The devices make it easier for our colleagues as they don’t need to carry paperwork around the distribution centre.”

how about this then from disgruntled shopper “FUCK OFF TESCO !!!!!!”

  62. Some fucking stupid tory toad on Sky news has just said that anyone who’s celebrating Thacher’s demise needs a shrink. Fucking idiot, apparently he’s called Connor Burns(,ha, ha,maybe he should live up to his name) he’s the one who needs sectioning for his own good.
Next up David Blunkett, where’s he been while the disabled have been victimised by IDS’s benefit cuts?

    • @KITTYCAT I thought you would love this its brilliant even from the old trout herself ::

“Conor Burns, a close confident of the late Baroness Thatcher, has lifted the lid on the former Prime Minister’s reaction to the biographical Meryl Streep film I mentioned yesterday. The Tory backbencher recounts:

“I went from Leicester Square to watch the Iron Lady to Chester Square to have a gin and tonic with Lady T, and I told her ‘I’ve just been to see a film about you.’ She said ‘what do you mean a film about me?’.

“I said: ‘Well they’ve made a film about your life and career as Prime Minister, and it’s an hour and half long’ and straight away, she said: ‘I couldn’t imagine anything worse’.”

      • Not only is that Burns an idiot, he appears to be a patronising twat as well. Seems he was talking to Thatch in the same baby-talk manner that care-home workers use towards their inmates. Regardless of who they are, just because they’re old doesn’t mean a person should be spoken to like they’re a two-year old.

    • Blunkett’s a toady of A4E, he supported Emma Harrison from a government standpoint.

  63. chewie

It was over potential oil rights also – YAH I WIN TOO.

  64. It was refreshing to see miners wives getting the chance to finally vent their spleens against the rabid Nadine Dorris on the bbc’s ‘big questions’, the gipsies also gave the nimby’s a run for their money too.

  72. I watched Mark Serwotka from the pcs union on the sunday politics show on the bbc along with Frances O’Grady another union leader and Mark said it has to be the unions that stand up for the unemployed because nobody else is going to. Funny that O’grady didn’t reply to that and Mr serwotka knows his members jobs in the dwp are on the line.

A New comedy tv series on itv ‘ on the job’, to do with job centre staff and unemployed, I wonder which one the jokes will be on because in real life it is the claimant.?

  73. The reason the Daily Fail is such a vile and vindictive newspaper is pure and simple….It reflects it’d editor’s character traits.
Dacre is a Scorpion….they are all like it.

  74. I have read so many articles or reviews concerning the blogger lovers but this post is genuinely a fastidious paragraph, keep
    it up.

  75. Thanks for that obi I just caught the end of the advert for the sitcom.

    • Here’s hoping it doesn’t do to the unemployed what Matt Lucas’ wheelchair user, in little Britain (blech), did to the disabled.

      • @kelpiemare do you know that a doctor who wrote in daily heil about people signing off work ie ‘fraudulent sickies’ actually cited the little britain sketch..he thought it was a documentary and was real..

  76. The reason labour are opposing NHS bill is because too many of their middle class voters work for it.
