Protests against forced labour are taking place in Liverpool and Brighton on Saturday (22nd Sept) whilst on Sunday a benefit is being held in London to raise money for the ongoing anti-workfare campaigns.
The Lib Dem Conference begins in Brighton this week and a march has been organised beginning at noon and assembling at The Level, Union Road, Brighton.
To coincide with this, Brighton Solidarity Federation, Brighton Benefits Campaign and Brighton Uncut are calling for a day of action in Brighton against workfare with claiming that: ” instead of ineffectually ‘having our say’ and being ignored by the junior coalition partner, we should physically shut down a high profile coalition policy.”

In Liverpool protesters will meet at noon in Concert Square for “a noisy picket of one (or more) of the biggest exploiters of the government’s workfare scheme in Liverpool City Centre.”

Finally on Sunday 23rd September The Grosvenor in Stockwell London will be hosting a Ruck Against Workfare, a night of live music with all money raised going the campaign against workfare.
