Dear the DWP

Let’s get the DWP themselves to prove Grayling and Iain Duncan Smith are lying bastards.

Dear the DWP,

Please can the DWP state how many people have been mandated to
Workfare under the department’s Work Programme scheme. By workfare
I mean community work, voluntary work, work experience or any other
activity that would commonly be understood as work?

What is the average and maximum placement length?

How many of these have been required to work for private companies?

Jobcentres are required to be informed of any mandated work
activity so this information should be easy to find.

  1. Good one lets hope a true answer is provided because these bastards will do anything to cook the books, I can hardly believe the amount of lies they have told for the last couple of days about workfare.

  2. I’ve said elsewhere that political debate in this country has just become completely non-functional – it’s just a bunch of drunken EDL troublemakers sounding off in the pub.

The power behind the government is the visceral hate stirred-up by its pet-newspapers. They set the poor at the throats of the even more-poor, while they prepare to ride out the storm by feasting on the wreckage of Society.

Unfortunately, Facts are currently a currency that is not widely accepted, although the bureau de change will swap them for a picture of a heavily made-up, topless 17 year old girl.

Nevertheless, I wish you well in your battle with the Stupid.

  3. Socrates, not much of a thinker are you? There are many thousands of disabled people who are raising awareness every day of the way this country is going. Most of us cannot afford to drink down the pub even if we werent on medications.

  4. Yes, mandatory volunteering is conscription. In a civilian workplace that is forced labour.
I thought forced or compulsory labour is illegal under Section 71 of the Coroners and Justice Act 2009 in England, and section 47 of the Criminal Justice and Licensing (Scotland) Act 2010.
Remember “forced or compulsory labour is defined as:
“ALL WORK OR SERVICE WHICH IS EXACTED FROM ANY PERSON UNDER THE MENACE OF ANY PENALTY AND FOR WHICH THE SAID PERSON HAS NOT OFFERED HIMSELF VOLUNTARILY”
It is therefore of paramount importance for all Jobseekers to declare themselves to be non-volunteers – beware if you are asked at any time if you would consider voluntary work.
That old military adage is right: NEVER VOLUNTEER!

    • Hi Wayne.

      Thanks for that interesting info.

Its funny what you say about the coroners and justice act as the wording is very similar to certain EHR articles as I am trying to compile an e-mail to the EHR about what this government is doing to its citizens.

You may be able to help if you know anything further about coroners duties/acts because another friend of mine is trying to show how many deaths are directly related to benefit cuts however after many FOI’s it became clear it was down to the coroners report that the government is hiding behind as apparently the related info on suicide figures (now 23 I believe) need to be recorded on such a report for it to be a legal statistic so if anyone has any further ideas on this I would be grateful.

Also when you mention the Criminal Justice and Licensing (Scotland) Act 2010 is this specific to Scotland alone or the whole of the UK?

      • Criminal Justice and Licensing (Scotland) Act 2010 is specific to us alone, we dont get your laws up here, we have our own, i would guess that is just our version of Section 71 of the Coroners and Justice Act 2009?

      • Hi AXEL,

Bummer oh well never mind its just that I am compiling a list of all known laws that relate to the benefit system because of ESA, WRAG, Work Fare etc.

  5. gfuewst: also, remember NI also has its own legislature too
