An inquest heard an example of ‘in your face’ policing yesterday after hearing of the death of Oyinloye Awogboro, a 23 year old man from South East London.
Mr Awogboro was chased by police after running two red lights and fleeing his vehicle. When the cops caught up with him he was attacked with CS gas and batons.
Awogboro was taken to Islington police station, where it was noticed he was ill. He was taken to hospital but later died.
The cause of death has yet to be fully established, although being set upon by her Majesty’s finest is unlikely to have done him any good.
