Cannabis set to stay Class C?

April 3, 2008 · 2 Comments

This should nark off Debra and co:

“The Government’s drugs policy was thrown into confusion today after its own advisers said cannabis should remain a Class C drug.

The Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs has defied Gordon Brown and concluded there is no case for reclassification.”

and interestingly:

“The council, chaired by Sir Michael Rawlins, is reported to have been swayed by evidence from Keele University which found nothing to support the theory that rising cannabis use led to increases in the incidence of schizophrenia.”

We haven’t finished with Talking About Cannabis yet by the way, we’re just taking our time.

Death by a thousand cuts is far preferable to a quick execution.

Cannabis is a mild drug that works for many ailments. In addition, it is a wonderful recreational drug. If cannabis had been legalized rather than alcohol the world would be a much better place today.

I agree wholeheartedly Kirsty. when was the last time you ever heard of anyone high being aggressive? I’m almost tempted to say that it shouldbe made compulsory – I know many who would benefit from it.
